for all my customer service workers, whats the dumbest question you been asked today

for me , i checked in a 1050 appointment, and this dumbass asked me if he can be seen early... when the time was.. 1048. i told him well your not even early to the appointment. then he insists and i go... its 1049.. there is no being seen early because your not early. like holy shit and this kid was 19. i hate these dumb fucks.

Taking my GT4 down to big sur soon

I cant freaking wait to take the cruise from Saratoga all the way down to big sur. for some context here, why it means alot.

So about 2 years ago i started watching this YTer who made a whole cinematic vlog of taking his GT3rs on e88s to big sur. and idk that video just completely changed the way i looked at Porsches and prior to that i didn't even really care about what wheel brand i bought from i just wanted them to be cheap and cool.

at the time i had just bought my F82 m4 but this vlog really just made me fall in love with Porsches. which led me to getting a 991.1 C2s. sadly, it was totaled.

But now i have my GT4, Equipped with e88s, which is always what i envisioned, and ill be able to make my own cinematic vlog in about 16 days God willing. It just kind of feels surreal that in 2 years i went from day dreaming about Porsches while driving a M4 i hated and regret buying, to now having owned a 911 and GT4.

Why do salesmen still do this?

Its 2026. please just answer my questions. im not driving a hour just to get basic questions answered. multiple sales people have lost my potential business just off this alone. i present myself as knowledgeable and transparent on what im looking for and where im at in my search.

My new daily

picked up this 2016 Autobahn , from my understanding fully optioned out. i wanted a fun daily , with a great interior and sound system. this one also has documented service history when the dealer took it in , and things such as the water pump, wtc were replaced so im hoping i can drive it worry free for a while.

i think my GT4 is going to sit in the garage a little more now LOL.

Easiest way to narrow down my search...

Looking at some Jettas, GTIs and Acura's as a cheap daily that has interiors with features i like. and my goodness some of these sales dudes suck.

I as a potential buyer am very clear and concise on what i am looking for, where I'm at in my search, and what questions i have.

-One sales person told me "he doesn't have time to call me back or text me" because the car i was inquiring about was on a test drive and he didn't want to answer my questions unless it didnt sell.

-Multiple third party dealers that usually just sell cars "as is" completely ignore me asking if they did replace anything and what's the condition on breaks and tires.

-Multiple try to only give me info if i come in , despite me saying im still cross shopping and trying to narrow down my options. Thus trying to get as much info over the phone.

This is the first time ive been car shopping for a "daily" as i now need to replace mine thats along side my Porsche GT4. all my other 4 cars ive owned prior to the GT4 where all my daily's but sports cars, so i was only really calling 2-3 dealerships because the very specific options i want narrowed things down easily for me. Thus leading to super easy car purchases with no haggling or trying to get me to do a credit app,

Weekly job rant

Its Friday, so i already just dont want to be here and am tired. (slept 5 1/2 hours)

Im covering a department i don't like (where they do colonoscopy's which has a more heavy work flow)

I'm just so drained from doing customer service. I lack the empathy to care if you are late because there was traffic. or that you are late because you stubbed your toe. i lack the energy to to fake laugh at your corny boomer jokes. i come here because all i care about is that $39 a hour pay.

For as much as people like to make fun of rich people that have mental health issues , i can understand. Regardless that this job lets me have my dream car and have a good life i would be just as happy making less doing what i love. And i wouldn't mind working more to make the same money because at least things wouldn't be such a drag. My company goes by sonority so once you get in, moving around isnt as easy. ive applied to 50+ positions would like more than this and i dont have enough year worked here to get any of them.

shit sucks.

i went to Japan in april and for a while i did feel refreshed but i mean damn its barely been just over two months and that refreshment is already wearing off.

I know that it can always be worse, and i could feel this way about a job that has me living pay check to pay check, and for that i am grateful. but i still do just wish i could do something i enjoyed. who dosent?

Looking at '15 Autobahns..Safe to buy as new daily?

2015 Autobahn trim 2/3 im looking at are at 85k miles, other is at 65k but its in silver and i hate silver cars.. Seems pretty good mileage for 11 year old car. I don't mind getting a PPI but don't want to pay for one unless its the one i want.

I'm looking for something that maybe needs some preventive things done at purchase but then can be solid for at least 3 years/ 30k miles so roughly to the 110/120k mile mark. I commute 40 miles round trip to work/4 days a week usually. but may start a side gig where i travel additional miles. 99% of the time outside of work im usually driving my GT4 but i still want something that can carry passengers, and also the hatch can for sure carry bigger things like car parts, etc.

I temporarily drove my moms 2012 Beetle Turbo and i liked the car alot, and it had the most amazing sound system ive ever heard in a car. To my understanding the Autobahn trim gets me the same features and luxury as the beetle had.

I would hope/assume that major things would have likely gone out by now/needed to be replaced. i do understand that the transmission needs to be flushed every 40k so i for sure need to look at the car fax in depth to see if either of the 80k mileage ones have had that done yet.

As a Day 1...This is the worst meta ever

I truly think this is going to be my first time since ranked launched that i dont go for masterball.

Through all the past metas , i truly havent hated any even near as much as i do the sleep meta. the issue is they can literally get going on the very first turn of the game, and if your not starting with a baby pokemon even them going second can be awful. but then again even if you do the baby will die if there setup. its just insane.

Darkrais ability should have been "At the END of your opponents next turn, if their active is asleep deal 20 damage. Or at the very least make it be a EX. and to then let it be all colorless energy is purely comical.

2018ish CLA 250 with 90k miles, horrible buy?

Let me start off by saying that my fun car is a Porsche GT4 so i dont care if i have a AMG or not. I drive 40 miles round trip a day to work. 4 days a week. I want something that has leather, a good infotainment system, and audio. which is why a toyota or honda dont really suit me, unless i go and spend 20k+ on a newer higher trim.

Also am considering a Acura ILX, and for the 12-15k price range i can get a similar year but with 120k or so miles. i do really like the interiors of mercedes and looks. i can excuse slightly less gas but im curious on if there as unreliable as people make them out to be?

I bought a BMW M4 with a extensive service history and that thing was a piece of shit so i will never go bmw again. my mom has a mercedes and never has had any major issues, granted she leases them now. regardless, with good service history, and doing the routine service that im already used to from owning a Porsche, is it realistic that this car can hold up for 3-4 years with hopefully only basic things, maybe some spark plugs and nothing major?

Torn between 3 options

Context , i drive about 40ish miles round trip to work.

current daily - 2006 mustang GT (bought cheap off my mom)

i have a sports car as backup (Porsche GT4)

Mustang is giving me problems , is run down , and i would like a nicer daily. as im very spoiled with not just my Porsche but my past cars.

i have 4 options

- 2007 or so civic with 100k or so miles for under 10k (wont have any features i want)

-2017 + Hyundai velosterwith 75k - 95k miles for 9k , multiple options , has good amount of features i want in a daily

-2014 crz fully loaded for 10k / 84k miles , has alot of features i want

-high mileage (110k+) 2015+ civic for around 10k, has majority of features i want.

Features i like - good sound system, reverse cam, bluetooth or carplay , heated seats , sun roof

i dont drive super far in my daily , but would value having a car thats a plesant ride with a good sound system. i do like the hot hatch look as i have no kids. just my GF. thoughts?

Trying out the Superstrike. Unbiased review from a NOOB

years ago before i had a gaming pc i used a wired g502 for my mac mini, didn't like how big it was.

went to a smaller wired mouse from the aurora collection. now with a gaming pc i didn't like how small it felt for actual gaming. so i watched alot of reviews, went to best buy and tested out some models. Sadly for Logitech i could only test 2 models which sucked.

considered the g502 plus

loved the shape of the viper v4

but i was intrigued with the super strike as its also the newest tech with the HITS. I live by the motto of buy nice or buy twice, and so i bought it. I figured if i don't like the shape ill return it and get the viper instead.

Now look, because this is basically my first gaming mouse where im actually gaming , things that others may notice i don't notice at all. For example, the wight distribution. To me, it feels perfectly fine. It doesn't feel "front heavy"

The shape of it is a little less ideal for my hand than the viper v4 BUT its not big enough of a issue to warrant me returning this mouse.

Now lets talk about the "gimmick" the HITS tech.

I love it. I much more prefer the feedback of a click from this mouse than any other mouse I've used before, and I've used alot since i work as admin at alot of different computers with many different mice hooked up. Just something about it feels so good and all the customization involved is sweet.

They tried to come at me on D...

1st week of league season we played a team of alot of players we play against at the gym. Usually they will get buckets on me , not alot , but at the very least some of them will score on me 30-50% of the time.

However during the game , it back fired. I logged about 15 minutes and i only got scored on ONCE despite them constantly making a effort to make me switch onto their 2 better players. Had them on locks. Probably the best defense ive ever played. proud of myself for that.

How much longer till $800 4k oleds are possible?

checked best buy recently, and the cheapest 55 inch oled i saw was still $900 and im guessing it was a older model. (lg b5 on best buy)

How long until you guys think it becomes more common to see deals at $800 for 55 or 65 inchers? do you think thats a possibility by the end of this year?

Switched to a gaming PC after years of a mac mini. My thoughts.

So, this all started with the release of Forza 6. I wanted to play it now, rather than risk it coming to PS5 too close to GTA 6. At first i looked at Xbox, and thought about just buying a used series x but something told me this might be the time to do something i had considered in the past. Get a gaming PC. Because i do social media, i always liked the free use of imovie and the seamless transferring of video files via AirDrop. So a mac always mini was always the route.

I got a estimate of what a build would cost to at least run some non horrendous 4k gaming and just decided to pull the trigger.

Here are my thoughts after about 2 weeks of usage.

-Video editing

I will be honest and say that i deeply miss how easy air drop made it to load my videos onto my mac mini. Waiting for the PC to load up my photo library to import just a few clips, or waiting for icloud to upload and sync does take longer, and so it is a little but more of a chore now when it comes to editing videos. If you guys have any suggestions please let me know.

-Gaming

This has been fun. For the first time in my life i gamed on a mouse and keyboard. I can somewhat see the appeal of it for gamers, but as of right now i still prefer controller. I have played FH6 and Backrooms so far.

Being able to use game pass and basically having a xbox with the extra capabilities that a pc has is great and im glad i didnt get a xbox.

Its also nice that i have something that i can upgrade on my own terms, and not feel the pressure like i do to get the newest console on release day.

All in all, moving forward i will probably be playing PS exclusives only on my PC and probably play everything else on the PC.

People over exaggerate how "Stiff" a GT4 is.

i feel like when someone on here comes asking what trim they should get, mainly being between the 4.0 GTS and the GT4 alot of people swarm in saying how the 4.0 is better mainly because its not as stiff.

Leaves me scratching my head because i dont consider the GT4 stiff at all. And i live in norcal where our roads are shit. I also think the seats are way more comfy than lower trim caymans.

For context i have owned

-2018 mustang gt

-2015 Corvette stingray

-F82 M4

-991.1 911

So sure, while it is the most "stiff suspension" car i have ever owned, the ride quality isn't bothersome. of course its not like clouds but its not so extreme as people make it out to be. 10/10 times i am choosing a GT4 over a GTS. I also wonder how old are the people that say the GT4 is too stiff are, because i think its there joints that are too stiff and not the car haha. At 23, its a non issue.

Decided to build a PC over getting a XBOX

Long time Playstation user that uses a Mac mini to edit social media content.

Wanted to play Forza 6 and at first was just thinking about getting a series X and kind of splitting my gaming in the future since a lot of games are cross play. My monitor is a Ultra gear OLED so its no where near coming close to being pushed to what its capable of. At times i have also been unhappy with certain things about my mac mini, and when i tried to play Minecraft on it years back it just didn't workout. So i decided to entertain the idea once again of getting a PC. looked at whats required to run 4k at at least a rate comparable to console giving my budget was 1500.

almost pulled the trigger on some listings , sent some offers on pre builts. no one was willing to go for what i offered. So then i got a suggested build from someone on here, and made some tweaks to it.

My list ended up being

-Phanteks Evolv x2 case / power supply

-AMD 5800XT CPU

-ASUS B550 mother board

-32gb Corsair vengeance ram

-9060 xT 16GB GPU

-Some corsair fans didnt do anything fancy with a AIO

-Silicon 1 tb storage

Some of the stuff like the GPU, Ram and fans i got at a discounted price buying preowned.

id say the GPU ironically is the biggest weakness of the build, but i didnt want to dump alot of money into one and end up not even gaming on the pc that much. but if i become a believe i may start to play more and more titles on pc.

Cheapest 4k res pc i can buy?

wondering what the cheapest 4k res pc i can buy to play Forza 6, and future games, but also something that can handle basic imovie editing.

my monitor is a ultragear that supposed to run 4k oled at up to like 360 hz or something crazy. which i know the ps5 pro cant even get close to maximizing.
is this possible for a 1400$ or less PC if i find a good sale? or do i need to settle for something that runs a crisp 1440 and just try to upgrade later?

Something to run xbox games and edit videos.

Am considering getting a XBOX Series X Because i want to play Forza 6. (dont want to wait for ps5 release when wolverine and gta 6 will be out.)

but i figured if i got a PC , i can just sell my mac mini m2 which i use to edit my videos for social media. The problem is i know nothing about PCs.

My question would be, what price range am i looking at to edit 4k videos, as well as play xbox games at 4k and at least 144hz?

is hoping to spend 1200 or less realistic? should i start with something built that i can upgrade in the future?
