busted out my good ol Fat PS3 the other day and fired up infamous 1 just to pass some time, and without me even realizing im 'already 7 hours of playtime lol

these old games are such gems man, stories didn't really matter, performance didn't matter, all it mattered was the crazy fun gameplay.

these games are gonna be gone forever btw when sony shuts down the PS3 store, so grab copies of them either from PSN or on disk while they're still available

i just got the base version on steam sale, was wondering if i can get the DLCs for this unlocked

I'm honestly amazed by how much this PSP game got right.

so a little background, i remember playing and loving PSO on dreamcast, i think it's actually one of my most played games from the early 2000s,one of the greatest rpgs ever made. fast forward last week, after 60 hours of PSP2i, i feel like i found a hidden gem.

The combat feels incredibly smooth for a PSP game, Weapon variety is excellent, character builds have a ton of depth, and there's an absurd amount of content. It doesn't feel like a watered down portable spinoff, It feels like a full fledged Phantasy Star experience with enough content to rival many console RPGs.

and the thing that caught me off guard the most is how surprisingly good the plot is, this shit is actually pretty damn good man, there are actual stakes here, memorable character arcs, and several moments that hit surprisingly hard emotionally.

if you have a psp or vita laying around, i think y'all should give this one a try, even if you're not a PSO fan or new to the series

im a big fan of the Xeno series, i actually played everything in the franchise except for Xenosaga 3(i'll play that eventually i promise), but X holds a very special place in my heart.

it's like the developers took everything i like about the concept of science fic and made it into a video game, and as massive Gundam fan, you have no fucking clue how i felt when i got the skell and flew over mira, it was my super mario 64 moment, there are NOTHING else like this game, not even the other xeno games. the story is light compared to the other games, but man it makes up for it with , IMO, one of the best open worlds ever crafted in a game. mira feels like home now with how much time i've spent there.

this game was a love letter to me from Monolith Soft.
