Why Source Dragons choose dragons as their form?

Writters say that Source Dragons can transform in other creatures besides Dragons. But why they choose Dragons as their form in the first place?

Fwahaha Kris, remember time when we giving name to our child?

The 9 months since that night have been hard to me, but worth it.

Look at him Kris, he is beautiful, he has the same smile as yours.

You know, let's name him Eram. I think this name fits him.

Fwahaha Kris, do you remember our past life before our divine metamorphosis?

Kris, that was so long. I can't remember anything from our past life, only fragments of memories.

The only thing I remember is how we hatched from some kind of egg in the void.

Remember how after that, we learned to control our new powers and how we created our six Godlike children?

You know, I have a faint memory that you and I had families in past. Perhaps they would have been happy to see us in all this grandeur.
