I, personally, have watched this race twice and I am going to watch it again

My autistic unawareness of social boundaries scuppered the hell out of me yesterday

I was talking to a friend yesterday and mentioned that I write fanfiction… guess that’s the end of the world because he left me on read for two hours then came back and told me he thought it was gross and did NOT want to talk about it. Not invalidating his discomfort, I apologized for making him uncomfortable and promised to not bring it up, he said he appreciated it then disappeared and I haven’t heard from him since. Have spent all day trying to convince myself Im not disgusting and wishing he and I could go back to normal. Oh social boundaries, when will I understand thee 🫠

Also, this friend and I have made adult jokes before. He’s also liberal, so the gay characters were not the issue. But apparently it’s the combination of the two. Another note: I do not post my stories online, I am very private and respectful about my writing

Heres how the conversation continued and what I decided to say ultimately. Im very close to not wanting to be friends with her. This + shes queerphobic and Im queer + she gets kinda toxic about literal SPORTS opinions. Lmk if I would be overreacting to ditch her atp… I’ve known her for almost 2 years and called her my best friend for awhile so this shit sucks but I have a new best friend at least
