Easy flight today (2 July) between rainstorms SJO-XQP - was expecting some turbulence

We were fortunate this afternoon flying from SJO to Quepos. Very little turbulence given the clouds (clouds were above us and below us most of the trip)

As we began the descent into Quepos the air cleared up. They were quickly moving us off of the plane and getting ready to immediately board the next set of Guests - I’m assuming due to weather and daylight.

Still the best way to travel around Costa Rica IMHO.

Bingo at the local church

I recently played Bingo at the local Catholic Church in San Buenaventura de Osa. I love how we all kept track of which numbers had been called.

Cleaners Supply TP/Soaps/etc in their fee?

We are opening up in a new market, and hiring a cleaning company (in our other market the cleaners are our employees) for the first time. Do most cleaning companies include re-stocking of bulk items in their fee or is that something we provide?

Any feedback is appreciated!

Helped a sloth cross the road near Dominical

This 3-toed sloth was in the middle of the road with vehicles swerving around it - quickly. I stopped my vehicle and got out and moved it to the nearby jungle (from a couple of years ago but I like the photo). Another passenger in my vehicle took the photo.

Unfortunately, I've seen many monkeys and the occasional sloth that have been hit by vehicles there. I wanted to try and help get this one to safety.

This took place on Highway 243 - between Dominical and Perez Zeledon.

My neighbor in Costa Rica invited my wife and I over for coffee.

The most friendly people in the world - my neighbors in Costa Rica - invited my wife over for coffee and an update on their fruits and plants. I’ve known them for almost 20 years.

Tuna with rice = delicious!

Citrus is a wonderful restaurant! This dinner was with a friend to celebrate my wife’s and my wedding as they couldn’t attend the actual event.

Nachos with chicken / con pollo in Costa Rica restaurant

From near Playa Bandera, Puntarenas

It was enough for my wife and I for dinner, and our 16 year-old daughter picked at them too even though she said she wasn’t hungry.

Flight from Quepos to SJO - great views and only 20 minutes long

Recommendation: Don’t drive the 4+ hours from the southern pacific coast when you can take a 20 minute stress free flight (a little turbulence yesterday but nothing too intense). Less stress. Faster.

I prefer Green Airways over Sansa (taken this flight ~75 times through the years) because Green Airways provides water and beer, and they’re less strict with the weight restrictions (in terms of charging $ for overweight luggage or multiple checked bags)
