I am writing a Skitarii character, and am trying to determine the Forge World to which he belongs. He is fanatically loyal to Cult Mechanicus doctrine (innovation = bolt gun to the back of the head), and I was wondering what the actual culture is like on Stygies VIII. How much do the Skitarii there know about the Xenarite heresy? Is Xenarism the universally accepted philosophy, or are there traditional tech-priests at war with it on the planet?

I’ve played an LS BH before who became a Mandalorian, but I’m now thinking of rolling a dark side bounty hunter who’s an absolute scumbag after playing through my Hand of Jadus agent. Do the dark side choices in the story feel satisfying/logical? Does not being a Mandalorian lose out on content with them when you reunite with the Mandos in KOTFE onwards?

However, I’ve been following the new patches closely, and I’m wondering what you all think will happen to a Hand of Jadus in 8.0? Would they be able to rejoin their lord? Are they going to be forced to oppose him? Will we get more information on his past, and why he is the way he is?

Just wanted to say that after having played upwards of a dozen characters over the years, I just started actually thinking through the planet arcs and side quests, and linking my character’s backstory to them. I RP’d my Imperial Agent cyborg as someone who got their cybernetics after being captured by Tusken Raiders on Tattooine, and I can’t even put into words how much more satisfying the side missions and bonus objectives to wipe them out were after that. It puts you in the character’s shoes, settling a score or taking revenge.
For the first time in a while playing this game, I felt legitimately involved with the toon I was playing beyond the class story, and even though I’ve played agents up to completion before, it still felt fresh and invigorating.
RPing this could be finding a backstory you like and tying it in with a certain planet, like a nobleman from Alderaan (House Rist, Thul, Ulgo, etc.), a former exchange gunrunner on Nar Shaddaa, or even a Cathar revolutionary on Taris. There are so many more stories waiting to be told if you put in the effort!
