Unauthorized Apple Account created with my Gmail id by unknown person

An unknown person has created and is actively using an Apple Account with my personal Gmail address ( I don't own any Apple devices and also don't know if I have ever created an apple id).

Since July I’ve been getting official emails from Apple about Password changes,DOB and billing information updates, Password resets and several Purchases details( In purchase details his name was showing as DEAN WILLIAMS).

I was able to change the password on iforgot.apple.com, but next when I tried to reset the security questions, I couldn't as it was set by the fraudster...so I couldn't enter the account to disable the apple id.

My bank details or any payment method of mine are not linked to this Apple Account. The fraudster is somehow making purchases using this ID. Can this still cause any problems for me as he's purchasing with my id. Also any way I can delete the apple account?

I’ve emailed reportphishing@apple.com with screenshots but they haven't replied to anything.

Has anyone faced a similar situation like this?? Any advice would be really helpful.
