Landslide in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand

Even a small landslide looks so scary when you are close to it. Thankfully this happened at a place away from civilization and tourists. The nearest village name is Tejam, near Pithoragarh.

“I’m praying for you”

That has to be the most lazy, unhelpful, and disingenuous phrase religious people say. It drives me crazy when I see the entire comments section filled this nonsense whenever someone posts about something happening to them. What’s most aggravating is you end up being the asshole if you point out to them that their comment does nothing to help and is completely meaningless. And the irony is that 99% of the time they only say it and don’t actually do a real prayer.

D1 Upgrade never charged my CC

I upgraded to D1 for my wife and I for an international flight later this year using the delta app on my iPhone. After I selected our seats, it took me to the payment page. I entered my CC information, and submitted it. I got an error “Payment API call failed” but it still appeared to go through. It’s been more than 48 hours now, and I still have not seen a charge on my CC but in the delta app it clearly shows the D1 seat assignments.

Curious if anyone else had a similar issue with this error and what happened afterwards? I have no idea if the upgrade payment is still going to process or not and if my seat assignments will remain.

I asked ChatGPT to create a picture of a restaurant menu for a place that only serves foods nobody actually likes.
