VW Up! boot strut upgrade

I have a 2017 Up! and from new the boot struts hold the boot up well enough, but when you start closing it, it drops like a sack of potatoes! Just wondered if anyone had found some boot struts that fitted that were a bit more resistant to closing and not slamming the boot down. Thanks

Replace Compaq Portable III keyboard cord

Having found no proper guides anywhere for replacing the keyboard cord, I have pieced together bits of information and managed to replace the cord. I used a curly corded PS2 extension lead to replicate to look and functionality of the original. Check the photos for which keys need to be removed to access the screws- the keys can be prised gently in a straight up direction (they are push fit). Hopefully the pictures help.

Can anyone exceed my MoT certificate of 700,000 miles?

This was clearly a mistake at some point on a car I owned about a decade ago but it’s always provided some amusement as the MoT certificates made me double take when I was flipping through before purchasing it….

First time posting here - looks a bit like a Tiramisu! New Zealand.

I found this one whilst hiking on holiday in New Zealand last month and thought it looked like a delicious cocoa covered dessert! Be great to know what it is

Finally got around to redoing these!

A simple job but put it off for ages as the MX5 lives in a garage and only comes out in the dry. Can’t believe how much factory seam sealer they applied, I doubt it was dry from the factory! Scraped back, straightened out, painted and a new one put in-I gave the other side the same treatment.
