A lot of good news! Here’s the part about trans records:

“New privacy protections for transgender Californians

In California, when transgender and nonbinary people change their names, gender and sex identifiers on official documents, those petitions are public records that have, in some cases, led to people being forcibly outed and harassed. […]

While a 2023 law already required courts to keep those records confidential for minors, the Transgender Privacy Act extends that protection to people of all ages this year. […]

SB 59 applies to any petition filed on or after July 1, and people with older records can request their records be made confidential as well. It also prohibits anyone other than the petitioner from posting confidential records online.”

Other new laws: Schools are required to have a gender-neutral bathroom, and middle and high schools have to print the Trevor Project hotlines on ID cards.

A federal judge has blocked Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s directive targeting gender-affirming care for transgender youth, ruling the policy exceeded his legal authority and violated federal administrative law. The decision prevents the federal government from using Medicare and Medicaid funding threats to pressure hospitals into ending medically accepted care while legal challenges continue.

SSA just updated their POMS page with new information about sex markers.

TL;DR: Similar to passports, now if you apply for anything new in SSA, your gender marker will likely be reversed. However there isn't any automatic, retroactive mass reversal of previously changed gender markers. Your gender marker should be ok if you don't apply for anything at SSA, kind of how passport renewals trigger gender marker reversions.

>The agency is only correcting or changing the sex field on the NUMIDENT to reflect the NH’s sex at birth.

>Evidence of sex: U.S. Born: a birth certificate (BC) established by a State or local bureau of vital statistics (BVS) that reflects the NH's sex at birth. . . The NUMIDENT sex field established through enumeration at birth (EAB).

>NOTE: Do not accept an amended, corrected (GN 00302.510), or delayed BC (GN 00302.540) as proof to correct the sex field unless accompanied by an amendment affidavit or supporting documentation that clearly indicates the reason for the amendment.

Their records work like a stack of entries/versions of your SSA record (including gender marker), the latest entry is the one used for everything (For example: Background checks, SSN verifications, credit checks, etc.).

As long as the latest entry is the one with your correct gender, you should be ok. BUT if you ask for a name change or anything, a new entry/iteration will be created with your sex at birth, making that marker be used for everything, effectively reversing your marker!

>we update the NUMIDENT by creating a new iteration appended to the previous iteration. The applicant must submit a new application and provide supporting documentation (e.g., a birth certificate to correct the NH's date of birth information).

We use our garage for storage because our driveway is too steep for anything other than a SUV to go down. So I was messing around in the cluttered garage with my partner, I found a tool that I didn't know we had.

As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I found it truly hearwarming and affirming to see this when I opened my rarely-used Facebook account.

The protections trans people as well as the LGBTQIA+ community have here is worth the high cost of living to me. I feel pretty safe, ir at least safer than I would if I still lived in Cleveland.

Like I mentioned in the link, I bought some ear hooks for my Samsung Galaxy Ear Buds4 Pro for my very small ears.

I gave the ear hooks linked in the previous post a real world test today by going out to wash my car at a self-car wash. I listened to my music through my Ear Buds4 Pro and using the new ear hooks.

The ear hooks kept my Buds4 Pro in my ears despite my scrubbing, rinsing, hand-drying and general moving around my car.

I am *very* happy with these ear hooks, and I will continue using these or a similar product for as long as I use my Ear Buds4 Pro.

I hope that others that are having trouble keeping their Samsung Galaxy Ear Buds4 Pro in their ears find my two posts helpful. 🙂

Will the same over-the-ear hooks for Samsung Ear Buds 3 Pro work for Samsung Ear Buds 4 Pro? If not, have anyone any over-the-ear hook recommendations for keeping them in my tiny ears?

I just got a set of EB4P a couple of weeks ago, but my ear holes are so small they fall out if I'm not careful. I'm using the smallest ear tips currently.

Before this, I had original Galaxy Buds, which fit in pretty well once I added the shark fins.

I understand that some men/people get penile implants, but for those that don't want/can't get them, what "fills" the inside of the neopenis? Fat? Muscle? Rolled skin?

Would sport wings work for Samsung Earbuds4 Pro? Is there any brand that would help them stay in my ears?

Having recently bought new phones directly from Samsung, my partner and I also bought Samsung Galaxy ear Buds4 and Buds4 Pro to go along with them.

The problem is keeping the Buds4 in our ears. I opted for Buds4 Pro, while my partner got Buds4.

My ears are small, so even with the smallest silicon tip, the Buds4 Pro start to work their way out. I end up constantly having to adjust them back into my ears.

My partner has more normal-sized ears, and the Buds4 won't even stay in, especially the right one. It simply falls out, which isn't good when out walking.

Is there any way to keep Samsung Earbuds 4 and/or Earbuds4 Pro in your ears? A third party silicon shark fin or something else?

I know that Smart Switch doesn't move games from one Samsung phone to another, but what else, if anything, does Smart Switch not move over?
