I think part of what makes "Divine One" more grating than the other Avatar titles is the fact that it's used even in text-only dialogue.

Professor while awkward in 3H was at least consistently used as a voice-over thing.

however even text-only dialogue in Engage *still* uses Divine One instead of the name you inputed.

It really makes it feel more like it's there to avatar worship than as a generic title for voice over with this.

I didnt take a screenshot at the time but *somehow* an enemy saw through the hedges (that block explosives and enemy was around my cursor) after Shadow was spotted in another part of the map and both a Black Shirt and a Tank saw through them and killed 2 mercs.

JA2 late game night fighting, is it just me or is it AI biased?

I've had Red enemies manage to easily hit Shadow but they always vanish when it's my turn until I move someone up to spot them, sometimes even at the same tile they were shooting from. (even with nearly my entire squad wearing NVGs)

So Enemies can shoot me from a distance but my mercs promptly lose vision despite them not even moving from that spot at the end of their turn.

Am I missing something or is JA2 night incredibly jank for LOS once enemies actually get NVGs?

Is there really no way to place a collection/dine order using cash via the App like Subway?

I dont have a pay card (can only withdraw cash at ATMs) and therefore use cash.

The Subway app lets you pay using cash but that doesnt seem to be an option at all for KFC.

Got impatient waiting for MGS4 so played as Old Snake in Portable Ops + (You can also unlock Raiden with his sword)

What sort of levelling system did MGO2 use?

I'm curious what it used.

I've only had the misfortune of MGO3 (which is incredibly awful) so I'm curious what it was like in 2.

I've not seen any mention of level-locked gear which is one of the biggest issues with MGO3.

25th Anniversary stream was dissapointing.

Nothing for the pre-Wildlands games.

GR2/Advanced Warfighter still locked to consoles and the PC version of AW (very different game) still delisted.

Contrary to popular belief, there is at least one second Operation Snake Eater pickup for the M37.

Do any recruits have glasses in TPP? Finger (or Glaz as he was called in GZ) has Sunglasses on and I dont recall any recruits other than him having glasses on his model (though they vanish if you equip the Balaclava)

It took 244.5 hours (according to steam), plenty of guide use and stealth camo abuse but I've 100 percent cleared MGS5.

Everyone talks about MGSV's story being unfinished story-wise but I honestly think it feels that way gameplay-wise too:

1: The GMP price for weapons is *very* arbitrary and grades that are barely an upgrade will cost alot more GMP, it really feels like the GMP economy was not balanced at all.

2: As far as I can see, only grenade launcher underbarrels actually increase your gun's price in gunsmithing, you can even attach suppressors onto guns that dont have them at that grade (A pretty big boost in a stealth game) and it dosent increase price at all.

3: No location in the game is as well designed as GZ Camp Omega lol.

4: Security Cameras genuinely seem to only have 1-2 areas where they can appear period in both maps.

5: Despite having three faction-themed grenade launchers (A Soviet one, one for the Africa mercenaries and one used by a XOF guy in the prologue), the enemy never uses them despite enemies using underbarrel grenade launchers in MGS2 and dedicated grenade launchers in MGS4. (In general a very large chunk of the game's weapons are never used by NPCs)

6: The Open world can only have trucks spawn, GTA 1 on the PS1 had dynamic vehicle spawns so it was more than one vehicle. (I cant find the example but I recall hearing how also only one mission sends extra reinforcements if you've been causing trouble in that area recently so another unfinished mechanic that I cant find evidence for right now.)

7: Gun Cameras, UAVs and Lasers are FOB exclusive.

8: Being able to scale pipes literally only is a thing in FOB, Mother Base and MGO3 maps so it's oddly just not used at all in the open world.

9: No non-custom grenade launcher equipped guns unlike GZ and that one Quiet jungle preview.

10: XOF reuse GZ American voice lines and only appear as an enemy in one mission. (GZ also depicted a XOF Agent in cutscenes with a scoped assault rifle which NPCs never use in gameplay.)

11: No main story missions or sideops encouraging you to play as a Diamond Dogs member unlike PO/PW.

12: Very few equipment pickups (this particularly sticks out at the start of Africa as Miller tells you to search the camp for weapons that aren't there) unlike GZ or the entire rest of the series. (even MGS4 had a decent amount of equipment pickups and Snake had a on-demand shop in that game.)

13: Despite the importance put on them, Walker Gears barely show up and are comically underpowered compared to even the basic APCs.

It just occurred to me that MGS4's gun selection might be evidence that the cut Russian PMC Otselotovaya Khvatka might have gotten at least far enough into the stage of having guns created for them.

They're a PMC that only appear in the live action intro and a hat in MGO2. it is also theorized that the cut Russian character Adam was either part of the PMC or their leader.

Every faction in MGS4 uses a decent selection of weapons (even the cutscene-only US soldiers use several guns and Rat Patrol were given several XM8 variants instead of just modelling one) where even the Prague rebels have assault rifles despite only using them in cutscenes. (Maybe also a holdover from the cut Prague sewers section?)

A large chunk of the "Drebin Only" guns are Russian:

AN-94 (MGS2 reference)

Saiga 12K is a Russian shotgun (and since it *seems* the Russian PMCs presumably would have shown up later than ACT 1-2, it would have been actually like MGSV where late-game shotgunners move to that game's frankengun Saiga 12K as a difficulty increase.)

The Act 2 pick-up VSS Vintorez is also a Russian special forces sniper that would have been fitting.

And the Bizon SMG is Russian.

Notably MGS4 is also willing to re-use guns (Such as the SVD already in the game being used by Act 1/2 rebel) and the Makarov, AK-102, PKM and RPG-7 would also be logical weapons for a Russian PMC group.

So even with them being cut, there's a large chunk of the weapons that would plausibly be used by a Russian PMC using Russian firearms.

Since I was curious (and it's not documented) I used the VR missions to experiment if High-Tech Soldiers and Tengu actually are identical to Gurlokovich with limb damage.

High-Tech Soldiers are mostly the same but they have an odd quirk in that they'll never enter the "Draw holstered handgun" (despite having a holstered M9) state, my suspicion is that the "regular" M9 weapon wasn't finished for MGS2 (unlike Twin Snakes where Genome soldiers actually use it) as instead, they'll always do the "stab syringe into leg" animation and recover that arm (even if you interrupt this anim by punching them, they instantly have a fixed arm.) if wounded in the arm.

Notably the fact High-Tech Soldiers *do* have normal guard behavior/voice lines like having to radio for backup (unlike backup units who always have instant alarms) in the VR missions make me suspect they were supposed to replace Gurlokovich mercs in some areas but ultimately wound up just turned into alert-only enemies after the Shell 1 core section.

Tengu just straight up dont have limb damage, if you hold one up in VR (You have to punch them like backup units so they dont "fake surrender" and stay behind them) as if you shoot them in the arm, they'll bleed but never actually get a crippled limb until they die from repeated limb shots.

[New Player] Are level 3 helmets worth wearing at all?

Had a single 5.56 round pen my Ronin (best armor I could find) in the eyes with a single shot.

Genuinely seems every single rifle pens them in one shot.

Is Ronin armor weaker in the actual "face" part or is level 3 in general incapable of stopping rifle rounds. (Since every other level 3 helmet I've worn mostly doesnt seem to stop rounds)

[Discussion] Considering how absurdly difficult some bosses/Black Division are, I'm surprised BGS hasn't revive the "Iron Clad"/VIP Heavy Armor/Backpack LMG gear from Hired Ops for these guys. (Honestly Hired Ops has some good stuff they could bring back like Incendiary grenades)

On one hand, it's a shame these assets aren't used in Tarkov (since alot of the map assets /weapons *are* from Contract Wars/Hired Ops) but it would also probably make the balance far worse if they were present. (not even mentioning the AI with these)

[Suggestion] A cool rare pistol I've only seen in Marauder (Post-Apoc SRPG) is the Izhmekh MP-448 Skyph, a Makarov based handgun that to my knowledge is only in Marauder and Girls Frontline. It seems like a nice fit for Tarkov

I get this error trying to play Steam Unfinished Business (65450), any help?

I'm nearly done with JA2 and was checking to see if this needs any tinkering and this happens when I try to boot it .

Is there really no word on fixing the broken achievements on Mafia 3 Steam?

You need to go through many hoops to downgrade to an older version for most achievements to work.

Is Hanger 13 really not gonna fix this? It's my main reason for holding off on another replay.
