How to choose the right phone fy in 2026?
The situation the world currently is in is crazy, i am used to be (still am but not as popular as good old times) the 'tech' guy in my family, whenever someone in my family needed to buy something like a smartphone, or a laptop, or to build a pc... they had their go to guy (me).
But recently, i mean over the past 6 months or so i have been losing that tag, but its not the tag what i miss, its the market which appreciated any price bracket.
So the way of my operation was learning their budget and their use cases and suggesting them a phone online if they're choosing the safe option, but if they're a risk taker and wants something better for the money, i usually go to the used market, contact many use phone vendors which i personally know and find a device which qualifies the conditions of the user and i personally inspect them thoroughly and give it to them.
In the first few months or years, it was just a hobby but later on many people started asking me for suggestion and to pick up phones for them, like distant relatives, friends of family or even classmates from what i recall i would have picked phones both offline and online for at least 50 people by now but things are taking a steep turn.
I used to be very confident of the help that i provide and i usually try to help everyone but rn the only set of people i can help is people who have the budget of at least 28 to 30k and people willing to take risks or sacrifices.
i still try to give advices and suggestions regarding this but iam not as confident, but if yall want yall may dm.
But if you want a general advice form someone who have been in the sales of used and new phones for the past 3 years, id say, with the current market its best to go with something which will last you a while than prioritizing a single thing, look for good thermals and good software, and make sure there is a good no of years of software updates yet to be received.
PS: 90% of the time when i make a suggestion for laptop or phone or anything in general, those will be devices which i have personally used, and tested before suggesting and yes i have used almost all devices which is available generally in the market rn. its more like a hobby for me.
