Was a really big fan of the look of the Hodder & Stroughton hardcovers for Witchwood Crown and Empire of Grass but hated that book 3 and 4 didn't match, so I tried my hand at making a pair of matching dust jackets. They didn't come out perfect, little things like colors and alignment didn't match up exactly but overall I'm really happy with them.

Edit: If anyone wants the files to print for themselves, just shoot me a DM. I'm going to tweak them a bit later today to more closely match up with the originals and then I can share them to whoever is interested.

Once I have more space one day, hope to have a full room of just shelves and a big cozy couch to read on, but having these in my home office is a decent enough compromise.

Came across a few posts the other day asking about the difference between Brodart dust jacket covers in the Lo Luster and Super Clear finishes. I just recently ordered some of both to check them out, thinking I'd prefer the non-reflective Lo Luster covers more but wanting to verify before I ordered them for all of my books. In the end, I prefer the Super Clear due to the vibrancy of the color that comes through rather than the more hazy look of the Lo Luster.

All pictures here show the Lo Luster covered books on the left and Super Clear on the right. Most of my books are Royal Hardbacks and I get the Just-A-Fold covers, 10" x 21" in the 1.5 Mil. Just wanted to share these before I swap the few books I have in the Lo Luster covers over to Super Clear, hope these help people get a better idea of how the covers look on actual books so they can buy what works best for them.

Still have quite a bit of pending orders from TBB and more (Malazan 1-9, Inheritance Cycle, Hyperion Cantos, etc.) but been wanting to get around to sharing my shelves. Just got Faithful and the Fallen in today so figured what the hell, why not.

Hey all, I picked up this single volume edition of LOTR years ago after seeing it and finding it visually stunning. I'm now getting around to expanding out my collection and want a copy of The Hobbit and The Silmarillion that feel right at home with it or as close as possible. I know they didn't give any of Tolkien's other works a similar treatment but something hardcover that's close in size and look to this volume would be instant buys for me, so I'm hoping some very knowledgeable individuals here would have the ability to help me narrow it down. So here's my home office, I'm personally a big fan of its look and feel but there are times when I want a more normal lighting to the space. There's no ceiling light of any kind and not a terrible amount of space to work in floor lamps. The covered windows point out to a walkway that neighbors hang out at so I've never had qualms about the shelves in front of them because folks would be peering inside if I had open blinds anyway. Any suggestions to give me an option to light it up are welcomed!

Here's my library, growing with more fantasy titles lately. Just added some Brodart dust covers onto some books and the only light in the room comes from my PC which just glares heavily on the plastic covers. So I'd love some ideas for light while I have minimal floor/corner space left to dedicate to lamps. Either that or just let me know your thoughts on my books!

Morning, everyone. Yesterday I got two additional Ikea Billy bookshelves built and incorporated into my office and spent some time last night arranging things. I've been getting into fantasy books lately and wanted some more space to add to the collection, but I also had a box of manga in my closet that I'd run out of space for so it was a necessary upgrade across the board. Really digging this layout and look forward to your opinions.

Edit: For anyone that catches it, just know I noticed the last 4 Gundam the Origin volumes were flipped upside down just after I snapped my pictures. Their orientation has been corrected lol.
