Is Buttertubs Marsh Park safe to walk at early am?

Hi, I’ve been considering going running in the morning at the marsh but I was curious to know if it’s busy at say 6 am or so? Are there usually people walking there at that hour? I know bears and cougars can be common to see during that time but wanted to hear it from you guys.

Yes, kill em with kindness and be a bigger person, etc. But also remember that “you cannot reason with a tiger when your head is in his mouth.” Learn when to FIGHT.

Grilled cheese

After a long wait and reading all posts about disappointing grilled cheese, I finally got myself some.

I have to say, the cheese was melted and somehow it was still mid. The sandwich was soggy. I was hoping the cheese would be salty but it wasn’t. I also ordered some wedges and they were soggy, overdone and not salted at all. I asked for an iced coffee which they ran out of so, I agreed to the cold brew instead. And finally, got the chocolate glaze donut which never disappoints but honestly, I was so disappointed overall that even the donut didn’t save the meal.

Overall experience: 2/10.

Solar garden lights keeping me up. What do?

So, some new tenants moved into one of the units in the townhouse that I live in. We both live on the ground floor. Her parking spot is unfortunately right outside my bedroom window. I have been living here for over three years. The new tenant is extremely ignorant and disrespectful of my side of the property and shared spaces. But now she is encroaching upon my space. She has these garden lights set up right outside my window and they’re so bright, they shine through the blinds.

I complained about this to my landlord and he said he would let her know. Her lights are still up. What do?

Free french speaking classes/community

Hey everyone, I was wondering if there were any adult french speaking programs or communities in Nanaimo. I called the Nanaimo Literacy Centre earlier and they mentioned that Parks and Recs might offer something but I couldn’t find anything. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance! 💕

Hey Islanders! I made a post the other day about yellow butterflies that I had been seeing, went for a walk and stumbled upon this beauty! So lucky to have been able to capture a picture before it fluttered away! 🦋🌸🧚🏻‍♀️

Michael Jackson: The Verdict - Just got done watching this at 2:53 am. What do you guys think?

I just got done watching the Netflix docu-series and man, I don’t know if I can sleep after watching that. The series did a good job of putting things into perspective. I am a fan of Michael Jackson’s music and dance and love him as an artist in general, just like anybody else. Growing up I did hear about the trial and the accusations and did partially agree he was possibly a pedophile. Now, I’m convinced that he is because there’s absolutely no business for a grown man to be in bed with a 12 year old. Even if it’s Michael Jackson.
