Advice needed and greatly appreciated. Is this the right solar portable power bundle for my mom?

Advice needed and greatly appreciated. Is this the right solar portable power bundle for my mom?

She wants to get an off grid solar setup that can power her window ac unit (110V/440W) and mini fridge (110V/115W)

This is why I'm reaching out to those who know better. My research shows this should handle that demand. It has a relatively high solar input of 700W , the power station has 2600W ac max output, and she lives in a super sunny desert with almost 100% sunshine year round.

She just wants something as a backup in case the local power goes out so that she can retreat into one room and just stay there until the main power comes back on. window ac would run during the day but it would be off at night. so about 12 hours of 555W usage during the day with a net +145 from the total solar, and then using 12 hours of the mini fridge at night for 115W/hour.

the power outages in her area are becoming waayyy more frequent than bevore, and its been happening enough lately that she wants to get something like this.

Would this be the bundle she needs? Are there any accessories I'm not aware of that should be added, or would this be ready to go out of the box?

Any advice tips or suggestions are greatly appreciated. I'm familiar with electrical concepts like volts amps resistance and watts but still learning about solar powered systems.

Thank you

Mount Saint Helens erupted several times from May 1980, until September 1981. One of the aftermaths was over 230 sq miles of flattened trees. Massive salvage operations by lumber companies managed to harvest 850 million board ft of lumber, enough to build 85,000 homes.

Standard thermocouples can be calibrated using frozen water at 0°C/32°F, and boiling water at 100°C/212°F. What are some of your favourite "master level" calibration methods that do not compare tools side by side, but a tool against a physical media of known properties?

WIBTA if I copy my late grandmother's book?

My grandmother was born dirt poor in the early 1900s. With the help and encouragement of her school teacher, she eventually pursued higher education and earned her PhD in English Literature. She was a beloved professor at her university for many years, and lived an interesting life full of travel and writing publications. She was also deeply involved in preserving our family history. When she was younger, she interviewed several elderly family members and compiled her notes into a journal. Later on, she published her notes as a book.

***One***... book. It contains a RICH history of family events, genealogy, whimsical facts, all of which nearly cover the entire 1800s.

She passed away in 2009. Her book was donated to the state library. Several family members, including myself, have wanted to read that book. So one day, I contacted the library staff with a proposal. Considering the significance of that book for our family history, and that only one exists, I asked if they would consider digitizing the book and making it accessible online, so that others may read it as they please.

I received a devastating, yet understandable response from the librarian in charge. Unfortunately, due to copyright laws, they are not allowed to create entire copies of the book until 50 years have passed from the author's death.

I sincerely doubt I will live long enough to see that day! At this point, I am tempted to make the trip myself. The library is well over one thousand miles away, but I do not care. I am thinking about making the trip, checking out her book, and photocopying it myself. I would not steal the physical book. It would be returned, and I would handle it with upmost care.

Reddit, I am begging you for insight on this situation. Is my reasoning logical? Are there alternatives I'm not aware of? Would I be the asshole if I copy my late grandmother's book?

Edit: My memory escaped me. The copyright is in effect for 70 years after an author's passing.

Two interesting things I've learned. First, my great great great grandfather was a highly respected Union veteran. Second, his belongings, bible, and rifle are still in our family, and I am next in line to receive them when the time comes.

Fascinating.

I am tired of living in a state where the humidity is so fucking high that I can see it

don't know how to explain it to people who have never experienced it but this shit is difficult to breathe. unbelievably hot and humid, and I want to move.

strongly considering giving fuck all, quitting my job that I've held for many years, and just moving west.
