🔥Humpback whale opens its mouth in front of tourists (Archived)
This video seems to only exist in a select few places, so I've decided to archive it here.
I'll take mine with some Oaxaca cheese, please.
Old Digital Display Unit
I am a high school theatre teacher and I have had this old display unit in a closet for as long as I’ve been here. It seems to work, but just needs to be programmed. I always thought it would be cool to put it to use, but never took the time to research it until now. It appears the company that manufactured it (Data Display Corp. Boulder, CO) is no longer a company and the phone number for service is not operational. I have no clue where I would even start to try and figure out how to program this, if it’s even possible.
It appears that it may require a special keyboard or input device, but all my Google searches have yielded nothing helpful.
Any help would be appreciated
After 18 years, I just realized the reason for the quote that Shark-Tooth Bubs' Character says at the end of The Curly Fried Caper...
He says "...Or did you?" It's a villainous subversion of Dangeresque's catchphrase: "...Or did I?" I never thought it was so obvious...
[TOMT] [Anime] [Early 2000s] A really badly-made anime
I remember seeing it on a streaming chat site a long time ago, around 2009, but the anime itself was made or released around 2003/2004.
It was badly voiced, had stilted and often no animation, and began with a really cheap and gaudy film intro (with hot pink Bauhaus-style text and soft-focus sparks in the background) that looked more out of the 1970s or 1980s. I remember it wasn't actually made in Japan, but rather Indonesia or thereabouts. I wanted to say it was made by a person whose name was similar to "Joseph Lai" (producer of Space Thunder Kids, equally as crappy), but I can't remember the name of the producer. The title was something like "Lover & Slave", but again, I can't remember exactly.

Looking for electronics engineers/hobbyists to help with recreating VB LED array schematics
You probably have seen my idea to recreate the displays using off-the-shelf components: https://www.reddit.com/r/FPGA/comments/1ruupye/looking_for_a_cpld_programmer_attempting_to/
I've decided to scale it back to simply trying to recreate the logic gate system that it uses. I did some studying about how the logic within shift registers and latches work, and I think I understand. Furthermore, I seem to have made a small amount of progress in understanding what actually goes into the display.
Based on all available information, my best guess is that there are two shift register and latch elements per pixel, to hold the pixel data bits, as there are two data lines per pixel.
If I have my understanding correct, the shift registers and latches use the above configuration, but with an additional line somewhere for the Chip Select signal. An optional help would also be to figure out where the power for the logic would go.
I've already reached out to people on the Vintage Computer Federation Forums, but I only got a small response to my message.
