A satirical Japanese religion called "Motohiro to People (MtoP)" exists only to give people a reason to say "no" because of "religious reasons" to get out of things they don't want to do:

I finally captured the issue that's been bothering me for months now

while using firefox, and especially when browsing reddit, i would often notice something happening in the blink of an eye, i always thought it was a tab that quickly opens and closes, i thought it was due to extensions, but it never went away despite disabling them, i thought my pc got hacked, but it kept happening after a clean os reinstall, and no matter what i did, nothing seemed to solve the issue.

this happens very frequently, as much as multiple times per hour.

today i installed OBS just to record a video of me using reddit on firefox, then go back to those moments where something weird happens, to see if that could help identify the issue.

apparently, everytime it happens, it lasts exactly one frame, i had to navigate in VLC with the button E to move frame by frame until i found it.

this is how the screen looks like when that happens:

the browser is maximized, the gray is not my desktop's wallpaper

edit: this is how it looks when that happens while firefox is windowed:

A young girl who wanted to distribute cookies, chocolates, and wafers she had prepared in Eyüpsultan, Turkey, for free encountered far more interest than she expected. Due to the intense public demand, the treats were gone in seconds.

Question about deportation process in Qatar after arrest/detention

a friend of mine got detained in qatar a few days ago

he’s a foreigner, was in a public place with a local girl, they were just talking, comforting each other and apparently hugged …

Preventive security showed up, took both of them in and questioned him about the relationship. they went through his phone and saw messages/photos that made it clear they were kind of romantically involved (nothing sexual or anything explicit though, just normal couple type stuff)

things escalated pretty fast and he was told he’s going to be deported. he’s still in custody but has been allowed to call family/friends

just wondering if anyone has seen anything like this before in qatar. is deportation usually final in situations like this or is there any real chance to appeal or get legal help at this stage?

any advice or experience would really help…
