Irritated by gregmat math materials

I can’t be the only one who feels this way… gregmat seems to go over quite a bit of material that is not needed or covered on the GRE. It’s overcomplicating the process and adding extra grief to reviewing for the math section.

Has anyone developed a tremor?

Has anyone developed a hand tremor as a result of their lupus? I developed a hand tremor around the same time my obvious lupus symptoms started ramping up in severity.

How should I study?

TLDR, I took the GRE without studying last year and scored a 320/340. I need to retake it because I am applying to a science program (details omitted), and my quant score was 154. My verbal score was 167, writing was 5/6.

Obviously I need to study for math. Should I study for the verbal section? If so, how should I study for it?

Additional information: when I took the GRE, I was really sick due to lupus, and my brain (and other organs) wasn’t working at all. I’ve since received treatment for it (it’s been a year now). Anyway, my scores were probably impacted by that situation.

Edit: incase anyone is wondering why I didn’t study for it the first time, basically I scheduled my exam date and planned to study for a month before that, but then I got really sick and was bedridden and was too tired to study. I just said screw it and took the test on the day I registered for 😅

Please suggest an army composition to help me promote to LL3

I’ve been using Itzu’s recent hydra army composition, but I only averaged a 94.3% on my E33 attacks. I do 3-star all of my war attacks, but I got a few 2-star ranked attacks today.

Cheddar jalepeno bread

I think the crumb is better this time 😭
Recipe:

  1. 400g bread flour + 315g water + 90g sourdough starter or poolish (poolish: 45g water, 45g flour, 1g yeast): knead until windowpane forms
  2. 8g salt: add to the dough and knead for a few minutes. Let the dough rest and relax
  3. Add cubes of cheddar cheese and slices of pickled jalepenos. Fold it into the dough until evenly mixed.
  4. Place dough in an lightly oiled container, and let it rise overnight until doubled.
  5. Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and shape it. Transfer it to a floured banneton and let it rise until it is 1.5 times bigger.
  6. Bake the bread in a covered pot at 420F (215C) for 40 minutes. Then remove the lid and bake for 5 minutes.

Genuine question: why do people advocate for using gregmat or magoosh over the official GRE review books?

Specially for math.

If cost is a concern, it’s pretty easy to get the books for free (not sure if can discuss that here lol)

Can I get promoted to LL3 with 2.5 star attack average (95.7%)

I’m sick this week. Messed up a lot of my attacks. Do you think I can get promoted to LL3 with a 2.5 star 95.7% attack average?

How much can a low sodium diet even help with prednisone moon face?

How much (if at all) can a low sodium diet help with the prednisone moon face? I’ve tapered down to 10mg daily, but my face is still really round.

Pickles that use less oil?

Are there any Indian pickles that use less oil? Preservation is not a problem, I can refrigerate the pickles if needed. Thanks for your recommendations

Need help finding North American doctors for a Chinese friend:

Hi. I’m reaching out on the behalf of a Chinese friend. 1. Is anyone able to recommend hospitals for a 9 year old child with cystic fibrosis (mutations f508 and n1303k).
2. Are there any hospitals with charitable financial assistance that could be provided to foreigners as well?
3. Are there any cystic fibrosis foundations that would be able to help financially when it comes to anything involving getting a foreigner medical treatment in the US

Currently the medicine she needs is not approved or available in China.

I’ve already got her reaching out to clinical trial coordinators, but she is hoping there is a way she can come to the US on a visitors visa for medical treatment.

A Chinese friend needs advise on how to get treatment for her daughter:

Edit: also suggestions for therapies that aren’t CFTR modulators that she can use in the meantime would be helpful.

Edit:

  1. she says her daughter is 9 years old and was born with an intestinal obstruction, and underwent 2 intestinal surgeries.
  2. Her exocrine function of the pancreas is 0.
  3. Sweat chlorine is 145
  4. As of July 2025, her lung function was
80%, but she hasn't had a more recent exam.

I’m reaching out on the behalf of a Chinese friend whose daughter has cystic fibrosis. Currently there are no approved cftr modulators in China. Does anyone have suggestions on how my friend can get treatment for her daughter? My only idea involves contacting cystic fibrosis foundations and nonprofits, but I really have no idea what they can do.
