Added Vader’s Executor and Plo Koon’s starfighter to the fleet this week

Been adding a couple ships to the collection and these two couldn’t have been more different builds 😂

First up is BrickVault’s midi-scale Executor from Flutdisque. I sourced all the parts through BrickLink for about $82 shipped, the instructions were free. Really enjoyed this one: the amount of surface detail packed into the top at this scale is awesome, and the finished ship has a much bigger presence on the shelf than I expected. I have an angled stand coming in so it shows off more of the topside when on the shelf.

Then I built the little Plo Koon starfighter while IT was fixing an issue on my work laptop earlier today. Pretty sure that’s the fastest I’ve ever finished a LEGO set 😂

The Executor is definitely my favorite of the two, but I’m a sucker for anything Plo Koon.

Which ship should I add to the fleet next?

BrickVault Darth Vader’s SSD Executor - Midi-scale

Had a fun time sourcing parts from BrickLink designed by Flutdisque and building this one, was a free assembly guide from brick vault and parts were around $82 shipped to me so all in it wasn’t terrible from a cost perspective.

Anyone else had a go with this one or any other Brick Vault MOC builds?

Plo Koon Build

Quick little addition to the shelf while IT fixed an issue on my computer today.

Perhaps the fastest Lego build I’ve ever completed 😂

[Oris] This bezel doesn’t get enough love

My favorite Aquis, and that tungsten bezel is a big reason why.

It has this subtle metallic sheen that completely changes depending on the light without ever looking flashy. Paired with the grey dial, it might be my favorite Aquis combo Oris has made.

Monday Blues

Always wishing it was still the weekend, at least the Underd0g Desert Sky is keeping me chipper about returning to the office after lunch break 🥲

One of my favorite days

New set delivery day 🤘

Looking forward to building both and adding them into my newly assembled IKEA pax wardrobe set that’ll feature only Star Wars builds.

It begins… Brick Wars B-Wing MOC — 4,000+ pieces incoming via BrickLink

Saw Corey Schaaf’s B-Wing Starfighter MOC and pretty much immediately knew I had to build it.

I bought the instructions directly from Brick Wars and I’m currently waiting on the manual, sticker set, and the rest of the package to finish production before shipping to me.

In the meantime, the first waves of parts have started showing up… and seeing these giant bags of gray and black bricks is making the scale of this thing feel very real.

- To note: this is only 2,319pcs of the needed 4,026pcs ordered😂

The finished model is over 4,000 pieces and roughly 1/25–1/26 scale, based on the Bandai model kit for accuracy. The B-Wing has always been one of my favorite Star Wars ships, and this looks like the UCS-style B-Wing I’ve wanted LEGO to make for years.

Pic 1: the beginning of the parts invasion.
Pic 2: Corey’s finished design / the MOC I purchased.

For now, I guess I get to pay the sorting tax while I wait for the instructions to arrive. I’ll post some progress once the actual build gets underway.

May the sorting be with me.

While we all await the return of Engelmaan…

Figured I’d keep enjoying my Pegasus in the meantime. Still one of my favorites on the wrist.

AliEx sets doing AliEx things

My favorite facepalm moments from dupes:
1- Staw Wars (pic 1 & 2) comical part is they got the plaque accurate to the OG, just chose to run with ‘Staw’ on the 25 year brick 😂

2- pic 3 bat ‘sports car’ lol close enough right

3- pics 4 & 5 ‘Marrvel’ funny one on pic 5, both venom and carnage sets were from the same seller but one has an accurate plaque 😩

4- pic 6 is self explanatory, my boy looks like he ate a smurf 🤦🏼‍♂️

This Week’s AliEx Builds

Still a handful of sets left from the haul to assemble, but those should be buttoned up by Tuesday night.

Enjoyed building each of these sets, some pros and cons to each.

Happy to answer any questions!

AliEx Anakin’s Podracer

Built in less than an hour from arriving on my doorstep, albeit a short build I had fun nonetheless.

This has been one of the more accurate dupes I’ve picked up on AliEx from the sticker pack to the minifigs.

One year later with my IXDAO 5303 V3 (SW200-1) — still one of my favorites

About a year in, and I still think this is one of the best values in my collection. It’s worn regularly, has picked up a few honest marks, and hasn’t skipped a beat.

Delivered at 5. Started at 6. Finished at 9. This AliExpress Dune Ornithopter was way more fun than I expected.

It showed up around 5 PM, I started building around 6 after work, and wrapped it up about 9 PM. Really enjoyable build with a surprisingly smooth wing mechanism. Brick quality was better than I expected, minifigs are ehhhh, and the finished model is huge.

Definitely one of the cooler AliExpress pickups I’ve had so far.
