I hate to say this but, in Rovio's defence, how can they adapt a game that the average Joe can't officially install on app stores and play today?
Here me out a sec.
As much as you and I want an adaptation of Epic or Space, how can they do this? The movies aren't just there to tell a story, but they're also designed to bring in new fans into the series as well as cater to older fans.
Realistically if we did get an adaptation of the other games, it would be great fanservice and open the doors for great storytelling for older fans. But what's left for the modern audience. With the original games delisted there's nothing for them to link back to before or after watching said film.
And yeah, I know a you can download there apk files (legally) online. But unless you're a fan of the franchise or want to play the games out of sheer curiosity, not many people are going to go down this path.
The only way I'm seeing an adaptation of the older games is if Rovio decided to re-release the old to coincide with the release of the movie (whether they're released as standalone titles or a compilation). That way old and new fans have something to experience along with the movie.
Unfortunately, with the way things are going at Rovio, I don't think this is going to happen any time soon.
