I hate to say this but, in Rovio's defence, how can they adapt a game that the average Joe can't officially install on app stores and play today?

Here me out a sec.

As much as you and I want an adaptation of Epic or Space, how can they do this? The movies aren't just there to tell a story, but they're also designed to bring in new fans into the series as well as cater to older fans.

Realistically if we did get an adaptation of the other games, it would be great fanservice and open the doors for great storytelling for older fans. But what's left for the modern audience. With the original games delisted there's nothing for them to link back to before or after watching said film.

And yeah, I know a you can download there apk files (legally) online. But unless you're a fan of the franchise or want to play the games out of sheer curiosity, not many people are going to go down this path.

The only way I'm seeing an adaptation of the older games is if Rovio decided to re-release the old to coincide with the release of the movie (whether they're released as standalone titles or a compilation). That way old and new fans have something to experience along with the movie.

Unfortunately, with the way things are going at Rovio, I don't think this is going to happen any time soon.

The ability to edit post titles after submission

I'd personally like Reddit to allow users the ability to edit their post titles as they please. I think it benefits the users as Reddit posts are infamous to have titles with incorrect grammar or spelling. Users can edit the body text so why not the title?

Now there are some ideas as to how Reddit can implement this without users abusing it:

  1. Cooldown - They can set a cooldown after the user changes it once (maybe for like a day).
  2. Edit limit - Limit the amount of times users can change their titles
  3. Edit within a certain time - Similar to WhatsApp, Reddit can allow users to edit their titles 15 minutes (or longer) after submission

Otherwise, it would be in best interest for everyone to be able to edit their posts titles whenever they want. And if they're going to do this, please for the love of God don't plug it in behind a paid subscription like X Premium.

Thoughts on Summer Madness?

I checked the first season out the summer it released and kinda dipped so I don't have concrete opinions on it, but from what I saw it was meh.

The character designs is basically if you put the movie and game designs in a blender, the humour is hit or miss and the concept of characters going to a summer camp is kinda cliche for cartoons and movies these days and Summer Madness doesn't do anything to stand on its own.

But it's nice to get another Angry Birds cartoon.

In fact I think this is the first fully voiced, ful-length TV show since Toons and Slingshot stories rely on character movement, expressions and sounds.

Since summer's around the corner, I might watch the series from start to finish.

So I got the chance to rewatch the first Angry Birds movie (via the random reuploads on YouTube)

And I have to say, it's still a good movie 10 years later.

The film released in 2016, so I was about 5 - 6 when it first came out. But watching it now as a teen made me view this film in a different perspective.

The humour is really funny, especially the few adult jokes I chuckled at. The animation is one of Sony's best, I loved how they animated Chuck in this movie. And the plot, while simple, stays faithful to he original with fun references and easter eggs.

I'm not sure why they decided to change the formula in 2 and (soon) 3 but I hope we get adaptations of other games like Epic or Space.

7.5 / 10 movie. Go have a rewatch if you haven't already, it's worth your time.

Friendly reminder that the Portuguese Disney Junior YouTube channel has Mickey's Great Clubhouse Hunt in full and it's still not available on Disney+ (yet...?)

It's kinda baffling that this is the only accessible version of Great Clubhouse Hunt and it's not even in its original language.

So, they're basically pulling a Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S...

I know I've known about Definitive Edition's existence ever since it had been leaked, and I don't mind the rerelease, it's great for Switch 2 players. But it seems a little ironic that these two franchises, both on their 35th Anniversaries, got rereleases of highly received titles for Switch 2.

I like how SEGA specifically chose Arle to be added on the Steam page to Sonic Racing: Crossworlds

It might just be because she's the most recent DLC character as of late but it was nice to point out.

Under 16 British Sonic fans might be cooked ...

[Discretion - I had permission from the mods to make this post, please don't report it]

So if you are in the United Kingdom (myself included) and haven't already heard the news, by spring 2027, the government are in talks of legally enforcing a social media ban to children under 16, and for those 16-17 (also me) with their accounts verified are subject to curfews.

While a full list hasn't been made, the government have set eyes on 5 social media platform being:

However, YouTube Kids will be exempt due to it's limited features as well as messenger apps such as WhatsApp.

Obviously with this ban a lot of fanbase in the UK may not be able to get the latest announcements via the official Sonic and Sega social media account and other news sources. This also means fan projects / animations / games may not get as much attention outside of the US for many kids to see. And to those who're verified, the curfew may restrict them from watching late night livestreams, mainly due to time zone differences and schedules.

Tbh, it's a shame because Sonic's popularity has had quite a push in the UK, especially with the movies and recent games

I'm not sure if Reddit is also in the cards to the law, but it seems very likely. So if chances are Reddit is exempt from this law, I'd like to urge a push to all Sonic news to be posted straight here as soon as it's announce.

I would also recommend trying a VPN to see if it will bypass this law. But if this doesn't work, if you're looking for the latest news, please visit news sources such as Sonic Stadium and Sonic City.
