New Glee Reboot/Revival Idea

I've been thinking about what Ryan Murphy said recently about wanting to bring back Glee, and I think that if that were to happen, maybe the character of Beth should be brought in.

As you know, she's the adopted daughter of Shelby, Rachel's adopted sister, and Quinn and Puck's biological daughter. Since she would be 16 years old in the current timeline, it would be a great opportunity to bring her in as a character. That way, you could also bring back Idina Menzel as Shelby.

Cloak AND Dagger

Hello fellow Cloak and Dagger players. There is something I've noticed in the Rivals community altogether that has been getting really frustrating, and I know some people here are probably guilty of doing it too.

People tend to prioritize Tandy because she’s the main healer, and because of that, a lot of players just refer to the entire character as "she" or just call her "Cloak." It’s understandable to a degree because she’s who you start as when you spawn in, but we have to remember that the character’s name is Cloak AND Dagger. He is Cloak, and she is Dagger. You need to be able to distinctly use both of their names separately and actually identify who is who.

When you refer to her as Cloak or call the whole character "she," you’re taking away from Tyrone, diminishing his character, and making the whole hero only about her. Cloak is him, and he is not her. If you are talking about the duo as a whole, use they/them. If you are talking about her specifically, call her Dagger or call her Tandy. Calling her Tandy is honestly the best thing you can do because she isn't Cloak.

This also ties directly into how people actually play them. They might be classified under the strategist role, but this is a dual character with two completely different power sets. You cannot just play them 100% as Dagger, or even 90% Dagger and 10% Cloak. You have to balance them out. Whether your split is 50-50, 60-40, or 70-30, you need to be actively switching to Cloak. If your team is at full health and you aren't swapping to Cloak to get kills, apply pressure, and use his kit, then you aren't adding full value to your team.

They are two separate people built into one character slot, and we should start treating and playing them like it.

Let me know your thoughts.

Potential Halloweentown 5 Idea

I love Halloweentown as much as everybody, and I was thinking about a fifth film.

The movie opens in the present day with Marnie raising her son, teaching him magic and passing down all the spells and lore she learned from her late grandmother. She spends time telling him all about Agatha and their family legacy. Then we cut over to Halloweentown, where Agatha receives an ancient scroll. We only see her from the back and don't see her face. As soon as she reads the scroll, she drops dead right then and there.

When Marnie and her family are notified, they travel to Halloweentown and discover the scroll, finally learning the truth. It turns out that way back when Agatha was young, she was banishing the very first threat to Halloweentown, she was unknowingly cursed. The scroll reveals a specific prophecy: In the 15th year of the second male born into the Cromwell legacy shall be cursed to lose his magic and the Cromwell Magic shall forever be destroyed. Since Dylan was the first, Marnie's son is the second male born, putting him directly in danger.

Since time travel is strictly forbidden, Marnie has to go before the High Council to petition for an exception. Seeing how big of a threat this is to the Cromwell family, they grant her a one-time pass to return to the specific year Agatha was young, and they give her a specific memory-erase spell to use on Agatha before she leaves so the timeline stays intact.

When Marnie goes back, she teams up with a young Agatha Cromwell—played by Sara Paxton! Together, they manage to stop the curse at the source before it ever takes hold. Before heading back home, Marnie uses that memory-erase spell on young Agatha so she forgets Marnie was ever there.

Classic Namor

Hello fellow Namor players!

How would you all feel if the developers gave us a Namor skin that looks identical to how he originally debuted back in 1939 with the widow's peak, green trunks, and his classic comic complexion, or would you rather they stick to something different that keeps his darker skin tone and Mesoamerican design from his default model?

I'm curious to know what you guys think, and is there another version of Namor from the comics or anywhere else that you would like to see as a skin in this game?

Upcoming Age of Ultron Skin

Hello fellow Wanda players,

With the Avengers: Age of Ultron skin dropping on July 31st, I’ve seen a lot of the same complaints popping up, and I think we need a realistic conversation about it.

I fully understand and appreciate how much this community loves Wanda’s Romani heritage and her darker skin tone in the modern comics. It’s a great design, and the devs do an amazing job honoring it. The base model and every other skin in the game fully embrace that look.

But we cannot completely change history to complain about this. For 50 years prior to her 2015 comic retcon, Wanda was Magneto’s daughter and was consistently drawn with fair skin. When Elizabeth Olsen was cast in late 2013, the retcon hadn't even happened yet. She was cast to match exactly how the character looked in the comics at that specific time.

This upcoming skin is a direct tie-in to her MCU debut in Age of Ultron. The developers are making the skin look like the actress who played her in that exact movie. If they changed her features or skin tone for a movie skin, it wouldn't be accurate to the film, which completely defeats the point of a live-action milestone skin.

Elizabeth Olsen did a wonderful job bringing Scarlet Witch to live action for the first time. Without her performance, we might not even have Wanda in a massive game like Rivals today.

You don't have to buy or like this skin. If you prefer her modern comic look, you have the base skin and plenty of other options. But please, don't ruin the excitement for other players, and don't make people feel bad for liking this version. If you want to get it, don't let others ruin it for you.

How I recommend watching Wicked & The Wizard of Oz

Watch Wicked Part One all the way from beginning to end.

Watch Wicked: For Good from the beginning up until Glinda sings "I'm Not That Girl (Reprise)," stop right before the song "As Long as You're Mine."

Switch over to The Wizard of Oz and watch from the beginning up until Dorothy meets Professor Marvel right before the tornado hits. Pause here.

Switch back to Wicked: For Good to watch "As Long as You're Mine" all the way through Madame Morrible bringing the tornado, and watch all of Elphaba's vision of her seeing the house flying in the sky. Pause here.

For the tornado perspective, you have a choice. Option A is to stay on Wicked: For Good to watch the house falling on Nessarose from Elphaba's perspective. Option B is to switch over to The Wizard of Oz to watch the entire tornado sequence from Dorothy's perspective.

Which ever you choose, return to The Wizard of Oz as Dorothy interacts with the Munchkins until they see her off down the road. Pause right as she leaves.

Switch back to Wicked: For Good and watch the scene of Dorothy leaving with Toto down the Yellow Brick Road, the entire fight of the witches, and continue watching all the way through the song "No Good Deed." Pause immediately after the song ends.

Switch back to The Wizard of Oz as Dorothy meets the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion, and watch them skip down the road all the way until they meet the Wizard. Pause here.

For the Wizard's orders, you have a choice. Option A is to stay on The Wizard of Oz to see the Wizard demand the broomstick from Dorothy's perspective. Option B is to switch over to Wicked for Good to hear the Wizard's orders. Option C you can watch both versions at the same time. Pause once the scene ends.

For the haunted forest and capture of Dorothy, you have a choice. Option A is to stay on Wicked for Good from the Wizard's orders through the "March of the Witch Hunters" until Dorothy is captured by the monkeys. Option B is to switch over to The Wizard of Oz as the group goes into the forest and Dorothy gets captured by the winged monkeys.

For the castle, watch Dorothy talk to the crystal ball and ask for Aunt Em in The Wizard of Oz, then switch over to Wicked for Good to listen to the song "For Good."

For the melting scene, you have a choice. Option A is to stay on Wicked for Good to see the melting happen in shadow from Glinda's perspective. Option B is to switch over to The Wizard of Oz to see Dorothy fight the Wicked Witch and melt her from Dorothy's perspective.

Which ever you choose, go The Wizard of Oz to watch the friends take the broomstick back to the Emerald City and receive their gifts (the heart, the diploma, and the medal of courage). Pause here.

Switch back to Wicked: For Good and watch Glinda find the hat and the green bottle, piecing together the truth about the Wizard. Watch her confront him and order him to leave Oz.

For the balloon departure, you have a choice. Option A is to stay on Wicked: For Good to see the balloon departure sequence from that perspective. Option B is to switch over to The Wizard of Oz to see Dorothy and Toto try to get onto the balloon before it takes off.

For the goodbyes, watch Glinda tell Dorothy to tap her heels three times in The Wizard of Oz, then switch over to Wicked for Good to watch the final ending of that film.

Switch back to The Wizard of Oz one last time to watch Dorothy safely return home to Kansas.

Part of Your World (reprise)

Go over the lyrics of this song, and tell me what they mean to you?

What would I give to live where you are? What would I pay to stay here beside you? What would I do to see you smiling at me? Where would me walk? Where would me run? If we could stay all day in the sun, just you and me? And I could be, Part of Your World.

I don't know when, I don't know how, But I know something's starting right now. Watch and you'll see Some day, I'll be Part of Your World.

Now go over them again, and remember that Howard Ashman who wrote the song was a Gay Man who was born in 1950, and grew up in the 60s & 70s where being Gay was looked at as wrong.

Now the song hits incredibly different.
