I'm legitimately at a loss for words.
For context, all of these are comments on a clip of a recent Waterloo Road episode where a kid called Dwayne has a mental breakdown in the school.

I'm not talking about the cheating itself because yes, that was wrong. I'm referring to the events leading up to the cheating, and how Mike didn't exactly handle it flawlessly.
People love to act like Mike was completely blameless and like Joe cheated on him for no reason, but the thing is that Joe and Mike were becoming incredibly distant over fostering Schuey. Joe was the one trying the gentle approach, which I personally think is what Schuey needed after everything he had been through. Mike however, was constantly coming to blows with Joe over Schuey's behaviour.
Yes, Schuey was incredibly homophobic towards Mike at one point and that's not okay, but Mike should've known that Schuey spent pretty much all of his life without a positive role model, and Mike wanted to throw him out almost immediately after that instead of trying to talk to him. He should've also sussed out that Tyler, Schuey's friend, who I'm sure Mike would've known was deeply religious, was the one feeding him all that bad information about gay people. All Mike was signalling to Schuey is that he was going to give up on him the second he messes up, so it's not surprising that it caused tension between Joe and him, given that Joe really wanted it to work.
It's actually kind of ironic that Schuey ended up living with Mike out of loyalty after Joe's affair, even though it was Mike that nearly caused Schuey to run away in the middle of Series 16.
This isn't me absolving Joe of his unfaithfulness, I'm just pointing out that it wasn't exclusively Joe's fault like a lot of people say it is, and that Mike should've handled the Schuey situation better than he did.
They just really botched fully showing Emily's grief and the consequences randomly lashing out and pushing people away truly had for her, whereas with Izzy it feels like they're doing a great job showing how her grief causes her to lash out, whilst still generating sympathy for her.
I've heard some rumours about where Izzy's story could potentially be going, and whilst I would be happier with a happy ending for her, she could potentially have one of the most impactful character journeys if the writers do go in the rumoured direction.
Back when it was announced that RTD was coming back to the show, one of the things that excited me the most was the possibility of legacy characters from his first era returning, including spin-off characters. This was only further heightened when RTD revealed that he was planning an MCU-style universe of spin-offs for Doctor Who. And a few years ago, he had mentioned the possibility of him working with Eve Myles again, because, in his words, "she's magnificent."
Sadly, as we know, none of that really happened. The two returning spin-off characters in RTD2 were Clyde Langer from the Sarah Jane Adventures, and Colonel Austin Pierce from Children of Earth, both appearing in Tales of the TARDIS and The War Between the Land and the Sea respectively. And RTD's second era was unfortunately cut short before it had even properly begun, really.
Had everything succeeded though and Disney hadn't screwed Bad Wolf over, I definitely think RTD would've had something special planned for Torchwood's 20th anniversary. I think we would've gotten an episode set in Cardiff, where Gwen and Rhys meet the new Doctor, and get the opportunity to travel in the TARDIS. Also potentially opening the doors for a spiritual successor to Torchwood.
Feel free to ask a question about a specific placement choice and I'll answer it to the best of my ability.
The only prediction I have is that Ben and Tonya could potentially get together now that Ashton is with Shola. Tonya was one of the only girls who Ben didn't sleep with during his depression-induced sex craze in Series 17, and Tonya is genuinely compassionate despite her gobbiness, so I could definitely see her and Ben finding comfort in each other's company and forming a relationship. It could potentially be one of the most heartwarming relationships, with Ben genuinely finding true happiness again with Tonya.
But what about you guys? Do you have any predictions?
2007-2016 for me. Just a perfect encapsulation of everything I love about that era of CBBC. Practically screams Sarah Jane Adventures, Horrible Histories, Cel Spellman, and Hank Zipzer.
And wow, over 100 upvotes just for saying "RTD bad". Maybe I should switch sides and become a pretentious Moffat glazer like these lot, if only because the effort to karma ratio is bigger than the fucking interior dimensions of the TARDIS itself.
Literally every time I go on Google and look up an aspect from the Sequels I thought was interesting or cool, the top result for Reddit in particular is always some stupid saltierthancrait post saying "UHM ACKSHOOALY DEES WUZ SHO SHTUPID AN HEARS WY"
Like, I'm legitimately trying to avoid Sequel hate, yet it still shows up like that one cousin you never liked. It doesn't matter what part of the Sequels it is, there is always a Crait post shitting on it.
Anyone else just find it really sad that Crait is still going strong all these years later? The sheer fact that the sub was created because a bunch of virgins wanted a place to seethe and mald about the Sequels without any pushback (even though they're not exactly short of places given that the Sequels are hated pretty much everywhere anyway) is just laughably pathetic.
Wish someone would just tell them that the Sequels exist whether they like them or not, and they should just get the fuck over them and get a goddamn life already.

I see so many people say they wanted Ronan and Madi as a couple and that she "deserved him more than Vicki ever did" but here's the thing. Madi basically instigated that entire situation between Vicki and Ronan to begin with. Continuously spending time with Ronan because she could see that Vicki was annoyed by it and was also stressed with her exams. Effectively sabotaging their rekindled relationship by lighting the fire for another argument. And then, despite Ronan being available after he broke up with Vicki, and even showing interest in Madi at a party, Madi doesn't even go out with him in the end because she didn't want to be a rebound.
I can tell that this is an incredibly unpopular opinion but that just rubbed me completely the wrong way, and just made it seem like Madi went out of her way to sabotage their relationship just to be spiteful. And after seeing what Madi gets up to later on in her run (beefing with practically every woman to come within five miles of her), it's not really that surprising that she would spite Vicki like that.
So yeah, neither of them deserved Ronan to be completely honest.
