I want to learn useful skills for freelancing. I have a background in economics and was wondering what are some skills I should look into? I can do graphic designing but I do believe I’m not a pro yet so I’m still practicing. Need suggestions on what skills I should research and learn. Kind of need money by the end of this year, so what’s something I should start learning today? Since fiverr and upwork are crowded, should I get clients from some place else?

Does anyone know who the owner of the brand “Alizeh Fashion” is? Two months back I ordered clothes from them and they took close to 30 days to deliver. Keep in mind these clothes were for someone’s nikkah, I kept telling them after the 15 day mark (on their site it says it take around 15 days to deliver) to send the clothes on time or they’ll miss the flight. They kept saying it will reach before and were not helping or being understanding at all. On the day of the flight i kept asking them to send the clothes but they didn’t. They sent two days after the flight. I had to find another person who could take these clothes before the wedding date, the day I received the clothes I noticed the trouser was a very different shade and a cheap material was used to make it. Not only that but the sleeve detailing was not complete from both sides so there was a big patch with missing work. I messaged them again that the last flight is two days later and there’s no way I can send this to the bride with so many flaws for her nikkah day. I sent them pictures and videos as proof and after so much back and forth arguments they finally agreed to a discount of 2000 pkr :) imagine that. They said either send the whole dress back or take the 2000. I said what difference is 2000 going to make??? Anyway sending back was not an option either since the wedding was a week later and it would be impossible to find another dress. They somehow agreed to a 3000 refund only and it’s been 1 whole month and they have not sent that 3k. Every time I message them they keep delaying or they don’t respond. I know 3000 is not a lot of money but how can I let them get away with this? Firstly you delay, then you mess up the whole dress, refuse to take accountability, the bride had to pay a lot more to get a new trouser, and now they’re not refunding the amount. What am I supposed to do?

i really want to be financially independent but not allowed to work but at the same time it’s embarrassing to be asking for money at this age. I do have a small business but it’s really slow and well, small. Still working on it but I wish to have a consistent source of money.

What’s with undervaluing handmade things? I know so many artists here who sell their paintings for a good amount of money and there are people buying those. I could be wrong but from what I’ve seen, paintings do get appreciated and rightly so. I recently became a part of pakistani crochet subreddit and saw how so many people in the comments keep telling people to underprice their work. It just doesn’t make sense to me. If you want a cheap sweater why don’t you go buy one from a cheap store? Why do you have to tell someone to underprice their work? Handmade things should cost more.
