NetworkManager applet 1.36.0 and previous have 2 major flaws.
When IPV6 is disabled even though the GUI shows it as disabled it allows apps like CUPS and others to still run using IPV6. NetworkManager applet should disable IPV6. This gives the appearance the IPV6 is disabled when it is not.
If you go to a WIFI configuration and click on "WI-FI security" and click on the show password button your WIFI password is immediately displayed without an administrator password being required. This makes it not possible for a a local machine using WIFI to be used for a guest as they can immediately determine your WIFI password.
Is there a security camera that would allow direct connection to the camera using Linux or a standard based protocol like HTTPS, RTSP, OVIf. I would like to directly access the camera.
After starting up tor 15.0.16 on Linux, after the inital connection, Tor conitually shows problems connecting to the Tor circuit even though i can connect to web sites.

I have Firefox 150, Tor 15.0.15 running on Debian 13 and with XFCE 4.2 I noticed that the when I have Tor and firefox both running that the Tab icon for Tor disappears into the tab for firefox. If I click on the firefox tab icon Tor appears another click on the same tab Tor will appear. This happens occasionally after running both and shifting around from workspaces.
I tried to Generate a profile with aa-genprof, I give it the path to the application and when it runs it gives a menu. In this example I used ping

I run the application through its paces and press finished but I get no prompts for deny, allow etc.. it just ends. Does apparmor aa-genprof work on debian 13 ?
I upgraded my virtualbox from virtualbox-7.2_7.2.6-172322 to virtualbox-7.2_7.2.8-173730 on Debian 13. I have virtualbox update only on stable releases when noticed that log files where created in my /home/user/ directory on opening a virtual machine.
When I have virtualbox GUI manager check for updates "all new releases and prerelases" expecting it to find 7.2.10 which fixes this issue it finds no updates when I have the GUI check for updates.
Can anyone tell me if 7.2.10 should be avaialble for correcting the log issue?
Does DOH provide any security benefit? DOH shows the host the user connects to allowing a WIFI user I use to block a domain. Since the service name indication, SNI shows the host your DNS is connecting. I understand Cloudflare is working on a improved version oblivious DNS over HTTPS, ODOH.
Does current DOH provide any security advantage ?
i used to have a facebook account and it was terminated when facebook was found guilty of proviing user privat einformation. When I tried to create another accunt it asked me for a picture. Is that normal?
Why would anyone provide a picture. I would expect username and password and a standard email.
What advantage do you get from DOH. It displays your DNS host through server name indication SNI. I have had a public WIFI block my connection to a DNS site. this is also why a newer version of DOH called Oblivious DNS over HTTPS or ODOH.

Why does Debian 13.5 still include Telnet preinstalled with the operating system ?
Onboard is a virtual keyboard app and a problem started in Debian 13 when the Onboard version 1.4.1-10 snippet (press one button for multiple charaters to be typed) stopped working. This function worked in Debain 12 and stopped working in Debian 13.
I tried Onboard on 2 other Debain distros, one of which is Ubunutu and both Debian based distros Snippetes worked. I would like to know why a virtual keyboard fuunction does not work on Debian 13 and works on ther Debian based distros?
I am using Debian 13 with Tor browser 15.15 and when i select the built in bridges tor does not work. It only works with webtunnel bridge. the errors in the log suggest tor only tries one SNI host and even when connected the log gives errors. Can anyone give reason why?
I changed bridge ID to xxx.

I have seen this issue beofre. I am using FF 150 on Debian 13 and when I tried to log into Reddit with my correct crendtials it said incorrect password. I knwo the password is correct becuase I save in FF.
After reinstalling FF useing the same credentials it worked. I had cleared cookies and restarted the browser which has clear all cookies on closing, but that did not work. Could anyone suggest a cause ? I am favouring a operating system change.
I am using 150.03 on Debian 13 and there is no icon on the menu directory. I noticed people complaining that the icon is too big but my version doesn't have the icon at all.
Why ?
