In my on going quest to make my 3d printing as close to zero waste as I can manage (Motivated more by my wallet) I'm trying to figure out if it is possible to grind up the cured supports from my SLA printer and mix them in with two part epoxy for casting bases for miniatures.
So I picked up the two player set and I was thinking about recycling some old STLs I have for a handfull of the ships form the Expanse show. But I honestly got into the game because I thought the minis looked cool, so I'm still not sure on how they'd fit.
So because of the codex, updates. I'm leaning more into the "We're the inverse of the red corsairs." and I've changed from the Deathwatch codex to the CSM one.
And I'm planing on the bikers so I wanted to get some thoughts on what you guys think would be intersting.

I work in IT so haveing a chair like that would be a pretty big flex on my coworkers.
I was hoping to get some thoughts on a semi-fictional metal I've been developing for my novel.
It isn't meant to be a super-material like vibranium or adamantium. It's essentially a specialized steel alloy with unusually good material properties.
In simple terms, it's high-quality steel with roughly the weight/density of aluminum.
I'm not necessarily trying to make the metallurgy 100% possible—the setting has fantasy elements—but I want the material to feel reasonably grounded and internally consistent.
And since when im not a want to be novelist im an it guy. Im hoping to get the thoughts of someone more experienced in working with metal.
Petrusax Corvinius
The current and longest-serving master of the forge for the Knights of Istvan. Born to parents in the chapter's fleet, he showed great respect and an innate understanding of machine spirits even as a child.
Despite the efforts of the fleet's engine speakers, Petrusax chose to join the chapter and would later become a techmarine and be taken under the wing of the previous master of the forge. He would aid his master's attempts to restore the chapter's ability to produce suits of saturnine terminator plate.
After he acceded to Master of the Forge, the chapter would face the Iron Warriors on the world of Archadia IV. Petrusax would come face to face with Kravek Morne. After the latter's role in the destruction of a dreadnought, Petrusax would engage Kravek in a duel.
Kravek would leave Petrusax near death, and it was his desire not only to avenge himself but also to avenge the loss of the chapter's final venerable dreadnought; he was not injured in a dreadnought.
He would complete his master's work, and the first restored suit of saturnine plate would become the forge master's personal plate.
His augmentics were fully integrated into his armor, and he is now rarely seen by anyone but his fellow techmarines out of plate.
So with the announcement of what's going to legend, I am rethinking my choice of codex. Part of me wants to stick with Deathwatch, but part of me is thinking of taking some advice I got and trying Chaos.
I'm basically running loyalist blacksheilds in 40k
This is an idea that is at best tentative, and I want to iron out all the kinks in the planning stage.
I saw those little less-than-two-gallon hydroponic tanks for bettas, and I know you can't keep a betta in a tank that small. But what if you scaled it up to 10 or 5 gallons?
As I said, this project is right now in the 'drawn on the back of a napkin stage, so nothing has been purchased or committed to yet.
I am working on molds for miniature bases, and the idea is that I only need to print the walls (the tan part) once because all the mold bases will be the same size.
So I am wondering if anyone thinks this will be a problem, or if I am overthinking this entire thing to the point of stupidity.
So i want my blackshields to have a throw back to their old legions and I am wondering if i should use the colors they used before they found their primarchs or their heresy era colors.
Ie dusk raiders and war hounds or red and gold instead of gold and blue for the thousand sons.

Since the additions of humans to out naval staff, we have had reports of humans comparing male genitalia with other races. And while this is normal among males and normally fleet command doesn't care. We have become aware of a guide that has recently been published titled 'Guide to Fucking Alien. The weirdest dicks of the cosmos.'. We are begging human officers to keep confiscate all copies they find, but have had little luck.

I'm just finishing putting together my homebrew chapter, and i don't want the to be 1 to 1 Deathwatch. I was wondering what you guys think of the rough ideas I have for color schemes.
I love the rollers for making my terrain and want to use them to make my bases.

I was watching the battle of Chernobyl and that got me thinking about how an RBMK almost melted down in a similar way.
So I'm wondering this, how do you guys think history would change if that was the reactor that melted down? It melts down in the same way and results in the exclusion zone being the same size as the one in our world.
I'm at the point in planing my homebrew where I am picking a codex and I was thinking basically that the deathwatch codex was perfect but just replace the xeno keyword in their abilities with chaos.
