Had quick but awesome visit to Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Kings Dominion (first ever visit). Drove from New Jersey on a Thursday night, went to Busch Gardens on Friday and then Kings Dominion on Saturday for half the day before driving back to New Jersey.
Here's my ranking of all the coasters we rode. We definitely missed a few since we didn't have time, especially at Kings Dominion which was quite crowded that Saturday. But I rode everything that was on my bucket list 🙌🏽
Backlot Stunt Coaster. Probably the most boring themed coaster I've been on but perhaps a good intro launch coaster for many.
Big Bad Wolf: The Wolf's Revenge. Pretty uneventful but great for the younger demographic. Decent theming. A few nice moments.
Grizzly. Rough but some nice intense turns.
Tempesto. These coasters are too short for me to ever put high on a list but I did enjoy it. Disorienting in the best way.
Loch Ness Monster. The indoor helix was so cool, along with the loops. Loved going through all the trees/greenery.
Flight of Fear. Way more fun than I expected. Like a mini Rock N Roller Coaster. Definitely packed a punch and left us smiling heavily.
Rapterra. Nice launch, smooth. Solid ride.
Griffon. Dive coasters aren't my favorite coaster types but I enjoyed the height and layout of this one.
Verbolten. Really enjoy the theming and surprise moment. Very fun coaster. Hagrids is one of my favorite coasters and as many say, this is like the baby sibling (even though it came first lol)
Apollo's Chariot. Smooth and fun. Can never go wrong with this style of B&M. Very re-rideable.
Alpengeist. Way more intense than I expected. Super whippy and fun. 2 rides on it.
Pantheon. So good. Launch coasters are a favorite of mine. I still slightly prefer Toutatis over this one. 3 rides on it.
Twisted Timbers. Super unique drop, insane airtime, smooth inversions and relentless. Perhaps my 3rd favorite RMC behind Steel Vengeance and Iron Gwazi. Followed by Wildcat's Revenge and Wicked Cyclone. 3 rides on it.
Pantherian. Lived up to the hype and then some. What a rush. 3 rides on it including the back row which was nuts.
Did not ride:
KD:
Tumblii. Closed.
Reptilian
Racer75
Woodstock Express
Dominator. Unfortunately too long of a line and we had to get back on the road to New Jersey 😕
Apple Zapple
BGW:
Darkoaster. Closed.
InvadR. Started raining heavily and then we never went back to it.
Grover's Alpine Express
Overall just a really great and successful visit to each park. Kings Dominion is very well-kept with surprisingly nice theming. Busch Gardens is always beautiful. Was so happy to get on Pantherian, Twisted Timbers and Pantheon.
For World Photography Day, some people post majestic mountains or beautiful oceans or stunning portraits. And I'm over here posting mundane ol gas stations and whatnot lol.
