I am playing the map where there world is basically covered in ice and snow and blizzards hinder unit regeneration/do damage in combat to non frost units. I am playing as materium construct focused dwarves lead by a lightning giant king. So I was wondering, are there any good spells that make the land more productive for me and get rid of the blizzards? If yes are there any in the materium/order tomes?

ich spiele als meinen ersten Charakter einen Gardisten dessen Primärwaffe eine Helbarde (Stangenwaffe) ist und ich liebe das Teil. Ich möchte nur sicher gehen dass ich die Sonderfähigkeit ganz richtig verstehe und nicht irgendwas falsch mache.
wenn ein Gegner mich angreift kann ich dieses Talent verwenden, dann machen wir beide einen Angriffswurf (ich muss diesen ansagen bevor der Gegner gewürfelt hat oder nicht?). Wenn einer es schafft macht nur diese Person einen unblockbaren damage wurf, wenn beide es nicht schaffen passiert nichts, und wenn beide es schaffen schaut man wer besser gewürfelt hat und muss hier noch die INI Differenz beachten. Der "Sieger" macht vollen damage, der andere Halben. Glaube so passt das?
Aber was ist mit einer Stangenwaffe? Wenn der Gegner versucht die Distanz zu verringern kann ich dies auch verwenden und er hat -6 auf Attacke richtig? (wegen der Distanz). Und das wars oder? Also ist es SEHR wahrscheinlich das ich hier vollen Damage machen kann. Habe ich irgendwas vergessen?
Und was ist wenn der Gegner auf mich zu stürmt? Gibt es da dann noch was zu beachten? Bzw könnte ich irgendwelche andere Talente einsetzten dir mich hier unterstützen?

Hello once again from Austria! So around 1.5 years ago I made a thread here asking a few questions on how the economy has changed since the gangs were defeated and violence had completely crashed from the highest in the Americas (and maybe even the world outside of war zones?) to the lowest in the Americas even below Canada. Which is just remarkable.
So now I would like to do this again, wondering how life, politics, the economy, etc. has changed in around the last 2 years, especially that of yours. Are things getting better, staying the same or getting worse?
I have a subscription with chatGPT, just got it since it was an early player. Overall I have been satisfied.
However, recently I have been a bit frustrated with it as I am noticing more and more gaps. I use it for various things, for example, excel coding/power query, translating/improving my Japanese writing (very important as my partner is Japanese), asking random fact finding questions, especially with stats, financial/stock question/information gathering, entertainment question like possible suggestions for books/series, thinking about recipes given certain ingredients and so on.
So basically various things for private use. Overall chatgpt is fine, but as I stated, I notice it falling short recently in various parts. Be it Japanese translation, power query making no sense or other hings. Its good overall, I just was wondering if there is a better AI currently available and if yes, if you guys have any recommendations. Or if you guys could just share which AI you are using and how satisfied you are with that app. Any information is appreciated.
hello! I was wondering, if I got Nord VPN, would I be able to use my GF Japanese netflix account in Vienna? I use my screen to stream various streaming sites so we can watch movies/series together and I was wondering if this would also work with Nord VPN + netflix as there are a few new series we want to watch. I read that there were /are some troubles using NordVPN with Japan Netflix, is this true? Or have these been solved?
I keep seeing this sentiment, that people say they don't care what the stock price is as they intend to hold it for 20 years or longer. If this were a person above (as an example) 50 and is mainly interested in dividends, then I could understand, however I see this attitude from plenty people under 35. And this I don't really understand.
I for example tend to place stop losses when a stock of mine goes above 80%+. I did this with ASML and AMD recently, both which were way above 100% plus since I bought them and the stop loss triggered recently. I am fine with this, the thinking being that I rather take home the 100%+ gain now, pay the taxes and then look to reinvest into other stocks. Because this way I have guaranteed that I took the winnings home (and if I sell later, I am still paying taxes then).
If the stock goes from 150% plus -> 0%, then what have I held this stock for (note ignoring various possible justifications for this like dividends)? Yes the stock could go from 150% -> 0% -> 300%, but no one knows that. All I know is that right NOW the stock is at 150%, why not be happy with that and use the opportunity to find something else?

Nachdem sowohl bei ASML als auch bei AMD mein Stop-Loss ausgelöst wurde, habe ich aktuell wieder Kapital zum Investieren ca 26 TEUR. Momentan habe ich drei Ideen im Kopf und würde gerne eure Meinung dazu hören. Mir geht es dabei weniger um die aktuelle Bewertung der Unternehmen, sondern eher darum, ob meine Investmentthese grundsätzlich Sinn ergibt oder ob ich etwas Wichtiges übersehe. Ich würde mein Portfolio gerne etwas weg von klassischen Tech-Aktien und stärker in Richtung (zumindest aus meiner Sicht) langfristig stabilerer und nachhaltiger Geschäftsmodelle entwickeln.
Historisch war die Aktie jetzt kein Überflieger, aber die aktuellen Unternehmenskennzahlen gefallen mir ziemlich gut. Umsatzwachstum und Profitabilität sehen beide stark aus.
Dazu kommt, dass ich glaube, dass im Bereich Wasseraufbereitung und Wasserinfrastruktur in den nächsten Jahrzehnten enorme Summen investiert werden müssen, insbesondere in den USA. Auch die Übernahme von American Water Works durch Essential Utilities sehe ich als Hinweis darauf, dass die notwendigen Investitionen künftig eher von größeren Unternehmen gestemmt werden können. Und jegliche aufgeschobene Investitionen, wo ich ausgehe das es gerade sehr VIELE davon gibt, werden in Zukunft das Potenzial hier steigern.
Im Bereich Automatisierung überlege ich, in Keyence zu investieren. Mir gefällt, dass das Unternehmen nicht direkt Roboter baut, sondern eher Sensorik, Software und Automatisierungslösungen liefert. Dadurch wirkt das Geschäftsmodell für mich breiter und unabhängiger als bei klassischen Roboterherstellern. Ihre Technologie kommt nämlich in vielen anderen Firmen vor, auch in Firmen in der gleichen Sparte in Japan.
Kurzfristig läuft das Geschäft wegen der schwächeren Weltwirtschaft und insbesondere China wohl nicht optimal. Langfristig sehe ich den Automatisierungstrend jedoch als intakt. Alternde Gesellschaften, Fachkräftemangel und steigende Lohnkosten sprechen aus meiner Sicht dafür, dass Unternehmen in Zukunft weiter in Automatisierung investieren müssen. Da Keyence Sensorik und Automatisierungstechnik an viele verschiedene Industrien liefert, erscheint mir das Unternehmen gut positioniert, um davon zu profitieren.
Das ist eigentlich der Bereich, in den ich schon länger investieren möchte. Ich bin überzeugt, dass der Ausbau und die Modernisierung der Stromnetze weltweit über viele Jahre ein großes Thema bleiben werden und langfristig eines der größten Investitionen in Europa wie Weltweit bedarf und somit hier viel Potenzial für Unternehmenswachstum, selbst in wirtschaftlich schlechteren Zeiten, existiert.
Eigentlich hätte ich dafür gerne einen europäischen ETF gefunden. Wirklich überzeugt hat mich aber nur GRID. Soweit ich weiß, notiert der ETF allerdings in US-Dollar und ist stark in den USA lastig (leicht >40%).

Basically title, I need something that is a bit faster and satisfying to play once you get gud. I dislike Isaac so please no games that are similar to that. I loved Brotato (did just play a kinda clone of the game in the form of Nordic Ashes), Dead Cells, Ball X Pit, Dome Keeper, Hades (still holding out on Hades 2 for a bit, as I played Hades less than a year ago) just to name some games that I enjoyed. But open to almost any genre or style as long as it is a good and tested game and not just a small one with 10 steam reviews.

Hallo! Ich habe Allianz zu einem relativ guten Zeitpunkt gekauft, denn ich stehe jetzt bei fast 100% plus innerhalb von 3 Jahren. Ich frage mich halt wie lange eine Aktie weiterwachsen kann, die Rendite ist gut ja, aber 100% Gewinn einzufahren wäre auch ganz nett.
Ich habe keinen privaten Bedarf kurzfristig die Aktie zu verkaufen, ich würde das Geld sofort wieder in anderen Aktien investieren. Der Grund warum ich frage ist, das trotz sehr guter veröffentliche Zahlen (Rekordumsatz!) der Markt eher verhalten reagiert hat und gewissen Analysten sogar enttäuscht sind.

ich finde das zwar etwas absurd das trotz Rekordergebnis verschiedene Analysten dies nicht bejubeln, aber das kann ich nicht beeinflussen. Die einzige Kennzahl (neben dem Nicht-Lebensgeschäft) die nicht so super ist ist EPS, sonst schaut alles sau gut bei der Allianz aus.
Deshalb bin ich mir gerade unsicher wie weiterzufahren ist. Eigentlich sollte sich der Aufwärtstrend fortsetzten, jedoch scheint der Markt die Umsatz wie Gewinnzahlen bereits eingepreist zu haben und ich frage mich, ob dann eher eine gewisse Korrektur ansteht. Currently with things going quite crazy in the world of stocks, and just global instability, I would feel more comfortable investing into ETFs than single stock performances. Due to the uncertainty, I am also a bit unsure where to invest outside of one field: Energy transformation.
With the ever increasing share of alternative energy usage, data centers, electric cars becoming more and more the staple in various European and Asian countries (and I suspect in others too soon), the war in Ukraine and Iran driving up fossil fuel prices and other reasons, I strongly believe many countries such as those in the EU will continue to invest heavily into its energy network and transformation/modernization there of. So I would like to invest into this area, in companies such as Siemens Energy, Schneider, ABB, Quanta, etc companies like those. Thats why I would like to invest into an ETF that focuses on these type of companies. So after some research I came up with a few such as:
European Industrials ETF
VanEck Electrification & Power Infrastructure UCITS ETF
Xtrackers Electrification Technologies & Smart Grid UCITS ETF
And I just was interested in the opinions of some people here, if you agree with my assessment, if you are holding these ETFs, thinking about it or totally against it. It seems like a field with a good chance of yielding stable growth over a longer period of time, no matter how bumpy the short term road is, just because of how important energy and electrical grids are becoming recently. Thoughts? Do you think this is overall a sound idea or would you prefer single stocks? If yes why?

Context: I live in Austria, she lives in Japan. In December I will propose to my GF. Currently we have plans that next year around May she will move to Austria for 6 months (maximum stay without visa requirement) and that we work on making it permanent. Which de facto requires a spousal visa.
Now we both want to get married so that is fine, the thing I am more thinking about is the logistics. If we just get quickly (ie unceremoniously) married when she is in Austria, we can immediately apply for a spousal visa, then get her named changed and overall have little issues. It might take a while for her name change, but that isn't any problem, the visa itself should be doable within a month.
However, I always dreamed that we would have one marriage ceremony in Austria, and one in Japan, as we both have tons of people that obviously won't be able to travel across the world for a wedding. For example, her mom is in poor health and it would mean the world to my GF to have a wedding where her mother is attending. So a proper wedding ceremony would be nice. But I have no idea how to plan this. Given that we want to have 2 weddings, I am thinking of 2 not so big weddings (40-60 guests maybe?), but even that will be a hassle to organise. She will be visiting in December for 10 days (thats when I will propose), then next year I will fly to Japan for 2 weeks to help her move to Austria for the 6 months (which then should be permanent), and then we return to Austria together. I will also take another week off work to basically stay with her in Austrai for the first week so I can show her how public works, how to get around to the places she needs to get to etc. etc.
So before we are together in Austria, I have no idea how to plan it. But by then it would be too late, since we NEED to get married in those 6 months so she can have a spousal visa. So just looking for some advice or information from people who have dealt with such a situation. Did anyone get married quickly and do the ceremony/party a couple months down the line?
edit: since I probally should have mentioned this earlier: We will be together 2 years in September, and the majority of that has been a LDR. I have been in Japan 3 times, the longest being 6 months, the other 2 times a cuople of weeks, she has been in Austria once and we have been in Thailand together for a week. We both are just tired of the LD and want to finally close the gap. So once she is in Austria I basically won't accept another LD that is based on visa issues, which is where the post above comes from. After we are together and married we finally want to begin plans for a family and just enjoy each others company on a normal, daily basis.
I recently replayed the Last of of US and Subnautica 1 (both fantastic games) and now want to see if there is any roguelites that would be of interest to me. Don't want to list which games I liked or disliked, just interested in what you folks have been playing and if there is a game that you guys would highly recommend. Any possible gems from this year or last year that I should keep my eyes open for? Currently playing Nordic Ashes which fulfills the Brotato need somewhat, but got 25 hrs in it and notice that I will need a new roguelite soon.
