How can I test at 300Mbps on phones, yet can't load a webpage? Is it the router?

Sitting on my phone in a different room to the Sky max router, service is 900, and I test at different times and average at 300Mbps. Really good speed

Yet browsing, YT, just is so slow. Pages don't load, have to refresh, YT times out etc. Why?

Is the router that I read about? I can't remember with last provider on 500, EE, being like this.

Should I just get another router? Why is this one so bad? As I say speed is fine on various tests, positions, using speed apps, websites etc.

If it is the router, why is it so bad? I read a lot about it. It can't be the actual signal can it as I get good speed and signal seemingly.

I'm thinking of a Mesh, but then Intel reading says they don't work anyway and need all the extra units to be wired, impossible for me.

Any help/suggestions please

How do you totally power off X4?

I think my SD is stuck, and want to power off X4, but I hold down power button it goes to screensaver. I think keep holding it goes to screensaver, then to Home Screen.

How do you totally power it off?

Also is the Sd slot a push in to eject like other SD slots on devices? Mine seems to be stuck...

Replace Sky Max router as slow response

Since swapping to Sky from EE I'm finding the latency/responsiveness really really poor. It's a noticeable change from last router.

Sometimes I load a page it just hangs for seconds, then either loads or not and have to refresh.

I've read some other have similar problems and changing router has worked.

So I'm wondering which router to get, maybe a mesh? Read tplink Deco are good? Is it just plug in and replace the Sky router? I don't want both on.

Also if get a mesh, with a PC away from main router using one of the mesh would it be better to wire it to the PC or just still use on WiFi? Why do the other mesh devices have wired ports?

Suggestme a better router that works with Sky fibre

Having recently changed to Sky broadband full fibre 900, the speeds, and mostly coverage, are ok, but the responsiveness/hanging/ping? are poor. I open a page, sometimes it waits, seconds, then loads, other times I have to refresh. Wasn't like this on EE with their router.

I've read around and seems a common thing on Sky Max router, no idea why, seems

Been onto Sky and they want me to try it wired, which I haven't yet tbh, but by the by, it's happening on WiFi devices.

So I don't think I'll get anywhere with Sky, I'm a bit annoyed that I may have to buy a new router, but if keeps happening then might have to.

Any suggestions? Wanting a router to replace, not to have to have both sky and new one on. Some look like a spaceship with aerials etc, prefer to have a basic looking one for shelf. Not too expensive !

What are the dimensions of the Nova screen, I know it's 4:3.

I have an O2P and I'm not too bothered when playing 4:3 content to have black bars, but will the Nova actually be a bigger size playing the same game, as in mm dimensions?

Will it be better on Nova than on O2P with a widescreen patch?

Debating on ordering a Nova when I have O2P

Did health app ever get patched for 8 series used with non Samsung phones?

Did health app ever get patched for 8 series used with non Samsung phones?

I use my G8W classic with Pixel and missing loads of health features. Before on 6 I used a patched version.

I didn't realise a lot was walled behind not having Samsung phone, I thought Android was a lot more open.

I won't buy another Samsung watch if using a Pixel again if Samsung are doing this. I prefer the look of Samsung watch, but I'll look around.

Updated OFW to 22.5.0, can boot to CFW, but HBmenu won't open

I've updated on unpatched v1 OFW to 22.5.0, I then updated HATS and booted to CFW fine. Games open and play fine. However I can't open the HBmenu to goto daybreak to update CFW.

I hold R down and just says "software cant be started" playing the game is fine.

Trying to go into album it just opened the album.

I'm not brilliant at this, what am I missing here? It's worked on previous FW updates I've done

Safe to goto 22.5.0? To keep fuses correct update OFW first?

I'm no expert at all try to read on here and guides. Currently need to update switch v1 unpatched.

For a while I couldn't boot into OFW as there was a mismatch in fuses? Can't remember how fixed that....

So do I goto OFW or use Daybreak to update OFW and then CFW? I use HATs and I know getting a lot of hate but I only use the very basic tools, and just copy the folder over.

Thanks

Connected to TV, anyone use a Backbone Pro?

With an O2P connected to a TV, trying to use a Backbone Pro (BT). Does anyone else use one?

Do you have to map the buttons on every emulator to the Backbone Pro? eg just quickly tried and couldn't bring up menu like I can on O2P with back key.

It sees the Backbone Pro as I see it in settings, but doors every emulator need to be setup individually?.

Anyone use a Backbone Pro and have recommendations?

Anyone connect O2/O2P to TV via cable, and use BT controller to play?

I have tried casting and it works fine, but the O2P screen stays on and is distracting, and using the O2P for a controller isn't the best when on TV.

So I'm not bothered on the dock, as it's just for playing now and then, and happy to charge separately when needed, and use a Backbone pro to connect via BT to play.

Anyone else do it like this? I feel I want to try more on TV when I can at home for some of the newer systems like GC, PS2, Saturn.

I presume there will be minimal lag like this, as in O2/O2P connected direct? Is it any USB-C to HDMI I need?

Amiga PUAE, slow down mouse cursor, make full screen?

Looking at playing some games that use cursor to play. At the moment on an Android handheld the cursor is too fast, and sometimes when the menu pops up, it would be easier to use d-pad. Is this possible?

Also is there a way to make game by game the screen bigger and in correct format? I've chose full screen but it's stretched it rather than made bigger and still doesn't fill my screen on O2P.

Sky BB 900, "stuttering" when browsing, playing internet radio etc

Just got Sky BB 900. I'm a metre away from the hub on WiFi and the sites I browse sort of stutter. They don't load, I press again, then it works.

On talksport radio there was loads of stutter, I thought it was the feed. So I switched off WiFi on my phone, using 4G/5G, and talk sport plays fine, no stutters, noticed this within first 30s.

What could this be? Why is this happening? Just bedding in? It's really strange.

Sky stream seems to work fine on it, although I did notice a little jump every now and then, so maybe it's same and it's just that has a buffer.

Used to be on EE, and it was fine, never noticed this.

4K 3rd gen what's difference between black remote and silver?

Looking around I see on some sites aTV 4K 3rd gen with a black remote or silver remote. What's the difference?

Did Apple officials sell the 4K 3rd gen with both? I think the silver is newest as that's whats on Apple website.

Which is best remote? Or both same? The black one has a guide button on, what's that for?

Android scraping not saving on last ones

Most have scraped fine, but on last few 100's to do I can see it scraping, flashes up a screenshot, moves on.

Once finished I start again and it's the same number left to do. It doesn't seem to be saving. There's more than enough space.

Does ESDE only save if it finds every bit of art, manual, screenshot video etc and marks it completed then? If doesn't find everything it marks as not complete?

Concealer pip plates for thermostatic shower after fitting

Had a shower thermostatic valve replaced, unable to get exact same. Old one had a cover on to hide pipes etc. New one is smaller and some of the hole is now on show as the concealer covers aren't big enough.

I'm trying to find bigger concealer covers? if that's what called to go over the pipes and then it would cover holes better and silicon around them?

Obviously the covers would need to be split now to just snap over pipes. Is there such a thing?

Also if I could get some, could I fit and silicon round them and it be waterproof still with them being split covers?

Switch off O2P screen when casting?

Having a Google TV, never occurred to me to cast for a quick go of big screen. Worked fine, although maybe a little lag using the O2P as controller.

The O2P screen stayed on though and was a bit distracting. Is there a way to switch off the O2P screen when casting?

I've ordered a USB-C to HDMI as well, and going to use a Bluetooth controller for playing on TV. Does the O2P screen switch off when using a cable to TV?
