New here, hi! Just bought a PS1 7502 and Rayman 2 - I don’t remember the graphics being this bad as a kid - how can I improve the pixelation?

I appreciate we are no longer in the days of CRT but man it’s more of an eyesore than I was expecting. Any tips or tricks to improve? It’s like I can count every pixel. Thanks!

I still don't understand the difference between /fork & /branch and how to enter, leave and close a fork - please help? I use visual studio code

My understanding is branch is a completely new conversation, with context that can be renamed, and that fork happens within the same conversation. When would you use each?

Why did these start and why is it getting worse? What flipped the switch for you, and did you ever manage to flip it back?

I really don't get it. I have always been life and soul of the party, loved getting on stage, presenting, talking, leading exercises etc...

In my 30's I spent time working in a highly toxic, abusive workplace, PTSD etc...so I thought maybe that was the cause.

Anyway, I had one bad meeting, where I couldn't quite get my breath, and then it's like something switched in my brain, and now it is happening in lots of social and work situations. Breathlessness, and air hunger that is.

It has really thrown me for a loop, because it is like my self-confidence has vanished and my brain knows it. And now when I speak, I'm self monitoring my breathing to make sure I am ok.

Yes beta blockers help, but I am blind sided when I look back at how confident I was. I literally use to say to people "I don't get nervous" and "I'm super confident". Today, that could not be further from the truth.

What flipped the switch for you? And did you even manage to flip it back?

People who work in a Pub full-time (but don't neccesarily own it), how do you like it? What's the best and worst bit? Financially do you worry long term?

I love a British Pub and as they continue to struggle, I wanted to hear from the people that pull the pints!

Why is it always a so bloody bad in the morning?

Wake up in bed…and let the spiral begin! Regret all my past decisions in life, ruminate and spiral about work, my life is over, start panicking about my future. Get up and start the day…ok it’s not as catastrophic.

What the hell is going on?

Does anyone work in a brand design agency? or packaging? What is it like? I barely see it mentioned here.

I've always thought about working in the world of brand and packaging design - what's it like these days? I don't hear it come up much in these forums.

Update: Was using 1.25mg Bisoprolol to manage performance anxiety at work - until it broke through.

Just an update from me, I have been using Bisoprolol to manage performance anxiety. It has been working pretty well, and my thinking was it would give me longer coverage because of the half life, without crossing over into the blood brain barrier as much as Propranolol.

Anyway, I took a dose at 7am, and had a panic attack at the beginning of a meeting in the afternoon, so the coverage isn't effective. I asked AI and it peaks at 4 hours. I will switch back to Propranolol multiple times a day.

Keen to hear others stories.

Update: Calf SVT became a DVT with multiple soft provoking factors (dehydration, prolonged car journey, sedentary office job)

Hi there, I just thought it would be worthwhile sharing an update, as so often posts are created when there is a problem, but not when there is positive progress.

I have no real idea why my calf decided to form an SVT. Anyway, I waited on it too long and it became a DVT. Always below the knee. I am on Apixaban for 3 months (4 weeks to go).

Within a few days of taking the Apixaban things started to feel a lot better, perhaps this would have self-resolved, who knows.

1 month in - all pain was gone, but the vein was still discoloured and ropey/lumpy
2 months in all pains is gone, the ropey feeling is much less noticeable, and discolouration is fading further.

We have decided this is cautiously provoked due to multiple soft provoking factors. I was also struggling with bad night sweats which was further exasperated dehydration.

The plan is to stop Apixaban after 3 months, and take a dose of Rivaroxaban for long haul flights for the foreseeable future.

Anyway needless to say the healing process has been pretty straightforward, when it was at its worst it felt like a very painful bruise. The leg occasionally aches but I think this is because I sit cross legged much too tightly. It was obviously worrying, as I also have paroxysmal Afib. But hopefully I'll be fully ship shape in 4 more weeks.

I wanted to share the story, as it is a recovery story, and an interesting one as it was superficial but progressed.

Did beta blockers affect your reading vision?

Hello my fellow afibs. For those of you that take a daily beta blocker (like me), did it affect your reading vision? 6 months ago I had perfect vision. 4 months on beta blockers and I now need reading glasses.

I know correlation doesn’t mean causation, but that seems a short time period to me - so I wanted to ask you guys.

Is long term alcohol abuse the cause of anxiety? I’m not talking about next day hangxiety.

I have been drinking a few beers every single day for the last 10+ years. My daily anxiety and performance panic when public speaking is out of control.

I am wondering whether the long term drinking has affected my brain and gaba receptors long term. Almost as if alcohol has made the anxiety door easier to open, and the only way forward is to give up alcohol.

Does anyone have experience or thoughts on this?

Can we talk about performance based panic attacks? Work meetings, introductions, presentations - the genie in my brain is out of the bottle and won't go back in!

Hi there - I got through most of my life thinking they would never happen to me - but they have been a feature of my introductions and presentations for the last few years, after having my first one at 36. I now manage it with medication.

That said! Did anyone ever manage to stop them once the genie got out of the bottle? It seems like a learnt behaviour.

Stood up and hit head very hard on the corner of kitchen cabinet…what now?

I’m on apixaban 5mg twice a day. Someone left a kitchen cupboard open and as I stood up I hit my head on the corner quite badly. It jarred all of my neck muscles in the process. I wouldn’t think twice about this usually. But hey ho I’m 28 days into blood thinners - do I need to get checked out? It’s nearly bedtime here.

Please help.

Mum keeps impulsive spending...£200 here, £150 there...how do I stop it?

I don't think my mum is that bad, but then I notice she spends a lot. She tipped the hairdresser like £100.

Here's an interesting one - does playing computer games help or hinder anxiety?

For example,

Positives: escapism, flow state, distraction, drawing you out of yourself, a release
Negatives: some games are high octane, flight fight, pressure, levels, time limits etc...

Did stopping alcohol completely help?

I can never tell whether alcohol or even coffee make my anxiety better or worse, it's ever present to be honest. Did cutting the bad stuff out help you long term?

Hi everyone, I want to sell my flat, but wanted to check this clause in the estate agents terms "payment of fees" is standard practice?

"PAYMENT OF FEES

6.1 Our fees become due upon exchange of contracts. However, at our discretion it is acceptable to pay when you move, provided that you instruct your solicitors to pay us from the proceeds of sale on the day of completion. If in the unlikely event you fail to complete, the full fee remains payable at the agreed terms."

My concern is if I have multiple failed exchanges will I end up out of pocket?

Sorry everyone, first time selling a flat/home.

Many thanks
