Different body proportions on different GLP-1s

Different body proportions on different GLP-1s

5'6" Top pic was June 2025, 188 lbs (sw 287) bottom pic was yesterday, 185 lbs. Lost a bunch of weight on Ozempic, went off late last year and regained 25 lbs, been on Mounjaro 2.5 months ago and just got that off (25-35 to go.) I am shaped quite a bit differently at the same weight this time. This is my first time in my life being hourglass-shaped. I look a little bigger but it's a more flattering shape and I am excited to see my new shape when I get off the rest of the weight. When I was this weight before I was a size 14 bottoms and an XL shirt, 38D bra. This time I am a size 16 bottoms and a L shirt, 36D bra. I am wondering if anyone knows what might have caused the difference in shape... Can different GLP-1s affect shape differently? Maybe they have different effects on hormones? I know hormones can affect where the body stores fat. I love my new shape except that I am holding the fat in my pannus more (since I am holding more weight in my lower body), which I am not a fan of. I also have more excess skin, I'm sure it is because I regained some weight quickly then lost again.

Advice for crepey weight loss skin? [MISC]

I'm 99 lbs down, with 20-30 more to go. I don't think my loose skin is really all that bad for virtually 100 lbs down, but I'm looking for advice about what actives to use, I know only time will help with the hanging skin/fat but I'm thinking there might be some skincare that would help with the wrinkling and crepe. If you ask people who aren't familiar with skincare they say stuff like coconut oil or cocoa butter (comedogenic, yuck.) I have just started applying cerave moisturizing cream mixed with grapeseed oil. For actives I'm thinking of using my matrixyl serum and my encapsulated retinol serum, both twice a day. I'm just looking for a bit of improvement, and hopefully reducing the worsening of it as I continue to lose weight.

Pattern of weight loss on Mounjaro

Hey all. I am 5'6" 191 lbs. I was previously on Ozempic, start weight was 287, got down to 188 last summer. Came off ozempic and gradually regained to 115. I started Mounjaro 2 months ago and I am down to 191. I am noticing at this weight I am shaped differently than when I was this weight on Ozempic, and also different from when I was this weight when I was younger was gaining weight. I have type 2 diabetes and I have always had tons of visceral fat... I was pregnant looking. I have never had a waist, I have always compared my abdomen to a potato. I am noticing on the Mounjaro I am losing fat from my upper abdomen mostly, and I actually am starting to get a nipped in waist for the first time in my life. I actually have a bit of curves which is crazy to me. I am wearing a size Large shirt now, last year I was in an XL at this weight. I actually bought a top in a size Medium recently. Last summer was too recent for this all to be vanity sizing. However, my lower stomach is still big, I still wear an XL in bottoms. I think it is hormonal, and how ozempic and mounjaro differ in terms of hormones. I know all the visceral fat was from high insulin and high testosterone (from PCOS), etc. I am wondering whether anyone else has experienced similar... Not just the weight loss itself, but a change in your shape different than at this weight before.

Moto G 2025 no longer letting me set 4D wallpapers.

Hello, I have a Moto G 2025 and about a week ago I downloaded an app called Vibewalls. It let me set a few 4D wallpapers and now when I try to set one from the app it says my device doesn't support it, even when I try doing the same ones I did before. I have tried other 4D wallpaper apps and get similar errors. Zedge also says 3D wallpapers unsupported. Why were 4D wallpapers working before and now they aren't? Battery saver isn't on.

2-3mm tear production measurement

Can someone clarify what 2-3 mm on the tear production strip means in terms of severity? My ophthalmologist says under 5 mm is considered dry eye, Google AI says that below 5 mm is severe dry eye. The doctor said he doesn't know what is causing it and wrote me a prescription eye drop to increase tear production. I was first diagnosed with dry eye by an optometrist maybe 5 years ago. This was my first time seeing an ophthalmologist for it. It's gotten progressively worse in the last couple of years. I can't wear contacts anymore. The doctor told me don't try to wear contacts right now, use this prescription and come back in 2 months.

Edit: the prescription is Restasis.

Been losing hair, said fuck it and shaved my head.

I've been losing hair pretty rapidly the past month. I have high testosterone so I am not sure whether it is that or a new medicine I am on. My hairline has been receding a bit and I have seen my hair thinning a bit on the top. So yeah. This is me now.

What do you think of my new glasses?

I'm used to wearing small, discreet frames. These are bigger and bolder. I feel like they make my face look smaller than smaller frames do, which is a good thing. I'm down 94 lbs and have about 30 to go, so I find that effect of these glasses flattering.

Found something extremely effective after 23 years.

I've been struggling with folliculitis on my lower back and sides, butt, and thighs for 23 years. I saw doctors for it a couple times in the beginning and tried a few different prescriptions but they were not very effective. I've just been managing the best I could since then. I recently found something extremely effective: alum. I use it in the form of a $5 crystal deodorant stick. Before I get out of the shower I swipe it over my back, butt and thighs. I literally saw initial results after a single use. Now it's been about two weeks and it's virtually totally clear. Alum kills bacteria and fights inflammation. It doesn't irritate my skin at all. It's really cool and I wish I had tried this earlier. I've started using it on acne I get under my chin and am getting similar results.

37F receding hairline from PCOS

Hello. I have had PCOS for a very long time. I have never had hair loss from it before. I just noticed a couple weeks ago that my hairline is receding at the temples. I have always had a square hairline with high temples, and also because of my hair style it took until now for me to notice it. I have normal testosterone, but very high DHEAS. I haven't noticed thinning but from these photos it looks like I may have some. I am thinking of starting a 5% minoxidil spray. I have been on spironolactone pills before and I think that may help as well, I might consider asking for that at some point. Generally I think right now I would prefer a topical over a pill. I am wondering whether any women here have experience with male pattern baldness from hormonal stuff.

Tips on where to fit these in routine?

I've been using a cerave retinol serum for over a decade but I suspect it might be the cause of my dry eye (from meibomian gland damage- waiting to see an opthalmologist.) so I'm switching from the retinol to the matrixyl and the azelaic acid. The brightening serum I have been using in the mornings under moisturizer and sunscreen. But these will be my 3 actives. I have very sensitive skin, I doubt the peptides will be an issue but not sure about the azelaic acid. Usually I only use one active at a time, but depending how my skin reacts I would prefer to layer.

My current routine:

AM: cerave hydrating face wash; daily brightening serum; cerave moisturizing cream; SPF product (has been cetaphil stick, switching to cerave tinted mineral SPF.)

PM: wet face/lightly rub grapeseed oil/rinse face; been using clean and clear salicylic acid moisturizer OR cerave renewing retinol serum (alternating); cerave moisturizing cream; slug with dimethicone.

Just looking for ideas on how to modify my routine to fit in the azelaic acid cream and the matrixyl serum. I guess I could maybe do the matrixyl followed by the azelaic cream in the pm? Not looking for other suggestions, just this thing.

37F how should I respond to cold approaches from men?

Cishet woman, diagnosed ADHD, possibly misdiagnosed ASD, pending test results. I have gotten a lot of cold approaches since my teen years and I have never engaged with a single one. I do not make eye contact or respond, just walk away. If a guy is desperate and gets in my space and manages to get an interaction from me I just tell him I'm not interested. I had a guy try to chat me up while I was walking through my city a couple days ago and I didn't look at him. I saw him out of my periphery and I don't remember what he looked like but I believe he may have been handsome.

I have never really analyzed too much why I do this, but lately I have been thinking about it. I'm extremely opposed to superficiality, and a man who approaches a woman solely for her appearance does not seem like someone I would be interested in. I hate being objectified. I'm also not really interested in getting to know men I haven't met organically if that makes sense. However, I have lost a lot of weight and I think I'm considered quite attractive now, and this is happening a lot more often. A friend of mine told me that I should talk to them if they seem like they might be my type, and I'm reconsidering my response.

I wasn't really aware this reaction was rude until I began to think about it more lately. But I also do not feel obligated to interact with a man who is pressuring me to engage with him, especially on the basis of him experiencing sexual attraction. It's not my fault he is experiencing that and I should not be expected to modify my behavior or acknowledge him because of it. I also do not have sexual or romantic involvement outside of commitment, and I'm not interested in commitment right now, so there doesn't seem to be much reason to engage with them. I'm considering whether there are any potential benefits to interacting with these men at present, or whether I should consider interact with them if and when I am ever open to dating.

Learning about the human microbiome is helping my contamination OCD

Hey guys. Part of my OCD is a fear of contamination/cross-contamination. For the last few years I have been very interested in learning about the human microbiome and just lately I have been applying it to my OCD. In particular, I am thinking of research about the benefits of being exposed to dirt and germs, and the hazards of being overly sanitary, and research that found a culture exposed to dirt and animals has substantially less autoimmune issues than a sanitary culture in the same geographic location. My brother is an anesthesiologist and his bachelor's was in microbiology, and when my son was a toddler he told me it was very important that he plays in the dirt, for his health. He now has a toddler son and he is always outside naked playing in the grass and dirt lol (I do not know why he lets his kid be naked as much as he does lol.) There is a movement among microbiologists not to use cleansers except on hands, just water in the shower. There is a microbiologist who doesn't even bathe, these people do this because they think it is healthy. There are even ideas that animals evolved to have parasites to some degree, some scientists think a lack of parasites nowadays might be contributing to some health issues. For instance, intestinal parasites release an anti-inflammatory (maybe immune suppressing?) chemical to keep the human body from rejecting them, and there are labs producing rat tapeworm eggs for people with autoimmune diseases to ingest that apparently bring them relief.

I know this is weird shit, and I am not supporting these things. The parasite thing, for instance, is pretty weird. These are just some ideas in science. However, it does seem to me that some exposure to germs is probably good for us. I never thought of it during my contamination OCD, but just recently I have been applying it and it is very helpful.

Note: if anyone wants names or links etc I can look it up. A lot of it comes from the book "Clean" by James Hamblin. "Dr. James Hamblin is a physician, Yale public health lecturer, and author who famously gave up showering and using soap for five years. His experiment was detailed in his book, Clean: The New Science of Skin, and sparked a major conversation about the skin microbiome and modern hygiene."

Going to an orthopedic doctor for the first time soon.

Hey guys. I am waiting for an orthopedic doctor to review my x Ray he requested before seeing me, then hopefully I can get an appointment soon. I injured my hip during sex 12 years ago, I suspect a labral tear (pain in groin/hip.) I never saw a doctor for it, after a while I only noticed it when putting on pants, really. It mostly went away over the years. I worked on my feet for a couple months from October until December last year, I had to quit because my whole body was hurting so badly, and my hip still hurts from it. It seems to be my outer hip, and a little bit in my groin as usual. Same hip. I have never been to an orthopedic doctor, what kind of stuff will they do? XRay came back normal, I figured it would since it doesn't show soft tissue.

Note: I haven't been to an orthopedic doctor because 17 years ago I injured my knee while running and was on crutches. My shitty GP just did an X-ray, told me it was sprained when it was normal, and just told me to take lots of ibuprofen. Any time I complained about it he just told me it needs time to heal. To this day that knee hurts when I go down stairs, and I need to take them one at a time. I didn't learn until more recent years that he really should have looked into it further and other damage is likely. But yeah, when this happened my mindset for injury stuff was "take lots of ibuprofen and as long as it gradually improves it's okay." And that stuck for a while. I thought if the problem became fairly minimal I didn't need to address it with a doctor... Stupid, I know. While I am at the orthopedic doctor I will have him look at my knee also.

Just showing off my loose skin.

Loose skin in my armpit and arm. 88 lbs down, my arms are where my loose skin is worse. I got about 30-50 lbs to go, do you think my loose skin will improve as the fat under it goes away, or will it only get worse? Do you think I can fly away if I do this hard enough?

Edit: I am fine with it, and fine if it gets worse. I do not plan to deliberately build muscle. Most pictures of excess skin that I see there is a lot of fat left under the skin, filling it out. I was wondering whether losing more of the fat would improve the hanging or not.
