Beyoncé’s new single just further shows to me how amazing her vocals are

Beyonce sounds so wonderful on Morning Dew (donk). Especially on the chorus - it keeps replaying in my head honestly. And it just matches so well with the production of that song.

Honestly it’s surprising to me whenever I read comments in here or elsewhere on the internet and people say beyonces vocals and singing prowess is underrated. And I’m just like - who is underrating it?? It’s so good to me? And she’s a singer where when you hear her voice, you know it’s her. There’s no one else like her 😇

Jacob was actually insane for completely going against Ava and the other teachers, and requesting a counselor for the school LOL

This was in season 4 episode 14. Jacob’s reasons for wanting a counselor were completely valid and he definitely did the right thing in advocating for that. But I was so shocked that he completely ignored the other teachers, and while they did acknowledge the importance of having a resource to better help students 1on1 and give them the attention they deserve, they clearly stated they felt money from the district could be better utilized in other ways. And then he had the gall to not tell Ava, who initially was going to speak in front of the district and put in Abbott’s requests, about his plans and give her the impression he was going to ask for what her and the other teachers already agreed upon when in reality he was going to stress the importance of Abbott having a counselor 😂

I found Jacob going this route was insane but ultimately he did a remarkable thing and we know the students at Abbott will benefit tremendously from this.

Does anyone else find it amazing how Beyonce is able to capture fans from all types of genres and groups?

With all the talk of the new album (act 3) and what genre it may be focused on (rock seems to be the general consensus) it’s been so intriguing to me seeing how many different collaborators people have suggested Beyonce should approach, not even just for her new album but really in general. Artists from rock of course, but also from metal, gospel, rnb, other pop artists and etc. I’ve also seen people in here recommend other artists/albums that Beyonce fans should listen to, to get ready for her next project, which could be rock. These people are clearly follow various types of artists but Beyonce is still one of their favorites.

I just think it’s amazing how it seems Beyonce can attract people from all types of genres and groups and get them to fall in love with her. I don’t think a lot of other artists really have that power! You have people who consider themselves more goth who love her, you have people who love rock bands like Paramore who love her, and really you have people who in general might not like pop music who love her.

It really just goes to show the immense talent and reach she has. What do you all think? Are you a fan of a different type of genre like rock or metal but still a big Beyonce fan? What made you become a fan?

Is it fair to say there isn’t a single “bad” song on Ctrl?

I’ve been listening to Ctrl like everyday lately and every song is so well crafted and beautiful to me. Supermodel, say it like dat, go Gina, drew barrymore, anything, awkward, Jodie, love galore, prom, etc etc

I’m starting to think to myself, there’s not a single bad song on this album, is there? I can find enjoyment from start to finish on Ctrl. I don’t know what makes a “perfect” record but I genuinely don’t think any song is out of place or unnecessary. I just love it all!

I’m not alone on this right? What do you all think?

Dr strange has one of the best introductions into the MCU and they nailed a lot of parts in that movie

Rewatching dr strange made me appreciate the movie again. I really loved how they made you so irritated with Stephen strange in the beginning. He was arrogant, elitist, selfish, etc. Also, the way he was driving on the mountainside really pissed me off lol. I’m not saying the crash/injury was deserved but good lord he made it easy to not feel bad for him. Especially with how he treated the doctors and nurses who tried to help him, especially Palmer.

But his development in the movie was very well done I thought and overall I was enthralled in the story. I also thought all the side characters were very memorable with ancient one, mordo, and of course Wong. Mads Mikkelsen is always a treat and him as Kaecilius was no different. He brought energy to a character that on paper may have not seemed that interesting or new.

And whew this movie had such beautiful moments with the way they were able to showcase the mirror dimension and how the sorcerers could manipulate time and space, as well as the multiverse.

One last thing I want to mention too is, in my opinion, how fantastic of a job they did with inserting humor into the movie. A valid complaint of marvel movies imo is how they can overdo it with comedic lines and scenes and take you out of the seriousness and action. The humor was more subtle in dr strange with some hilarious lines that didn’t feel out of place or egregious.

Overall loved the movie and Benedict cumberbatch’s take on the character!

The original animated series makes you appreciate each character

Before starting xmen 97 I decided to watch through the entire original animated series for the first time and I absolutely loved so many parts of it. What really stuck out to me though is just how fantastic the show was at making you appreciate every character.

Like I was thinking to myself, who would be my favorite character? And honestly so many of them come to mind. In fact pretty much all of them come to mind. I love rogues southern charm and I felt so much towards her and her longing to be able to touch and connect with others despite her powers getting in the way of that. I love gambits quick wips, unforgettable Cajun accent and flirty personality. I love the power storm brings to the screen and her ability to lead others. I love Wolverine and how despite his rough exterior it’s easy to see how much he cares. I love the youth and energy jubilee brings. I love how Xavier always sees the best in people. I love cyclops, Jean grey, beast, etc

We don’t even see each character every episode and yet they all are well developed and given a proper backstory. I love this show and the characters, and excited for 97!

“No genuinely, I’m a pistons fan but I’m happy the Knicks won, I’m tired of people saying the East is weak. In fact I love being reminded every single day the Knicks won because their fans won’t let you forget”

I think it’s pretty amazing how many league leaders we have on our team

We have 2 people in the top 10 in PPG league wide - Allisha Gray and Rhyne Howard. Howard is also leading the league in 3PM per game.

Jordin Canada is top 5 in APG

Angel Reese is leading the league in RPG

Howard and Canada are both top 3 in SPG

I don’t know, for me, I think this is pretty amazing and indicative of how talented our team as a whole is and especially our starting lineup. Naz Hillmon also adds a ton of value when she’s on the court even if that doesn’t always show up in the stat sheets.

I love this team!

Who was the most memorable side character who died in the same movie they were introduced in?

Some examples:

Ho Yinsen (iron man)

Dr erskine (Captain America TFA)

Ancient one (doctor strange)

My vote would be for Dr Erskine! Stanley tucci is a phenomenal actor who made an imprint despite dying pretty early on in the movie. He emphasized the importance of having a good heart and being a good person above all and keeping that in mind even when you gain power and strength you didn’t have before. He also stood up for what was right and what he believed in always, fighting back against colonel Phillips when he doubted Steve Rogers was the best candidate for the super solider program, and to johan Schmidt back when they were scientists working together.

What about for you all? Who’s your pick?

I hate to say it but I honestly forget this movie even exists sometimes. I never see anyone talking about it, even in this community.

As a man I absolutely love all of Renaissance but I have to be careful about shouting out the lyrics to Pure/Honey

Renaissance as a whole is fantastic in this regard, but the production on All Up In Your Mind is just mindblowing to me
