I’m watching Season 7 Ep 7 right now, and my friend and I were talking about a certain scene since Negan doesn’t really hurt kids (except for Oceanside oof, although I feel Carl would fall under that age range).

So, it’s after Carl shoots up the factory and Negan takes him, and tells Carl to lift his eyepatch. Negan then goes on to say he forgot he was just a kid, and that he was sorry. My friend read it where he was half joking and half serious, but I know originally I thought he was just fully joking with how Carl ain’t that young and the other jokes.

Idk if what I’m asking makes sense cuz I’m autistic lol and miss obvious cues sometimes, but I wanted to ask yall how u interpreted the scene. Thoughts?

I mentioned this in a prior post about Daryl and Isa, but I wasn’t a fan of them and got worried from the first episode when Daryl was in the bath. I knew Carol was gonna show up in later seasons and hoped she would find herself a romance because that woman NEEDS IT (Daryl too obviously but I prefer him and Connie far more).

THEN OMG ANTONIO SHOWED UP. In my head I was praying she would at least sleep with him because Valentina was right. AND THEN THEY KISSED AHHHHHHHHHH I squealed so hard.

I’m so happy for her. Even if Antonio manages to die in EP2-3 of the next season I’m glad she allowed herself to chill out a bit. I was worried because Isa and Daryl felt a bit forced, but her and Antonio’s chemistry was so cute🥹

So, I’m on Season 2 Ep 2 of the Daryl Dixon spinoff and I was kind of hoping they wouldn’t give Isabelle and Daryl a romance, ngl. They give off different vibes than a couple and I can’t really describe it, but as soon as I saw the scene where Isabelle asked Daryl to tend her wounds on her back I knew what that meant lol.

Ofc, I want Daryl to be happy either way. I shipped Connie and him WAYYYY harder, and they had a much better and more interesting dynamic. Like hell, it’s much better representation too! I don’t think Isabelle and him is necessarily bad, but when I see them all I think about is how much I miss seeing Connie and Daryl together. Maybe the producers weren’t suggesting possible romance between those two, but that’s just me.

Yap sesh over. I may be alone in this but I felt like talking about it to people that have most likely seen the spinoff.

Not gonna get too deep into how I feel because I feel I’m in the minority here, but I very much hate how >!Jax’s abstraction reveal was handled and how sudden it was. It felt unearned and unsatisfying, and despite him being my second fav character I was more annoyed than sad at that moment from how confused I was at the reveal.!<

&gt;!Like, I legit thought it wasn’t Jax and that it were the other abstractions that had gotten out. !< It felt out of character for Pomni to not say anything even once, despite her watching Jax blow up on Kinger when they JUST had a talk an episode prior that everyone has done bad things. I actually think she would’ve reached out even more that time, ngl; she clearly saw he was changing and was very obviously suffering from the circus falling apart. Probs just me, though.

Anyways, I thought the plot would go into the abstractions getting out and how to deal with them, and now that I think about it I just felt like they were sort of forgotten about? I genuinely wanted to and expected the abstractions to run loose or be affected by Caine’s undoing, and was disappointed they were never really brought up after (although I forgot the specifics of that scene with Scratch and what that meant). I think I also wanted to see more of how the circus changed from Caine’s death, and was left unsatisfied with how it was only brushed over. Goose has her reasons I’m sure, but I guess I just wanted something different from that.

TL;Dr: I’m disappointed in how Jax’s reveal was executed. I’m sure I’m in the minority but I wanted to talk about it with someone, even if yall may or may not care about Jax lmao. *I don’t hate the finale btw, it’s just not my favorite.* I still enjoyed the experience regardless and was happy to be there for the big screen.
