Stapling my MacOS app has never worked, since day one, so what is the point exactly?
I always get "CloudKit query for appname (2/gunk) failed due to "Record not found". Could not find base64 encoded ticket in response for 2/gunk The staple and validate action failed! Error 65.
This has never stopped me running anything or submitting to the Store, so what exactly is the point of this thing
In case anyone is curious, this is the adapter I pulled off my prototype Xbox 360 HD DVD drive that lets you use a regular IDE connection to it instead of whatever the built-in connector is.
I thought I had four Xbox drives, turns out I only have one that works, so time to get a backup. One is DVD-only (ie no blue laser) and two are totally dead (including my ultra-rare black one). So I opened the no-blu one up, and compared it to a drive I found in a drawer. That drive has old firmware (MC05 compared to MC08 on the broken one) and it also has a weird adapter board to expose it as regular IDE. Anyone know about the firmware differences, or whether I stand a chance of just using the drive as-is (I need to find some cables to try it). Are drives "bonded" to these power supplies? I know there are some magic numbers somewhere, for AACS to work, and I recall there were "red" and "green" drives back when I worked on this but that was for Xbox signing, should not effect use on a PC.
I've been using https://github.com/TheDotSource/New-ISOFile which works, but I've started analyzing the UDF structures and I can see it changes them. This doesn't affect the files once its mounted, but it concerns me it's not a direct bit-copy of the optical disc.
Probably quicker for me to write my own now I understand more about UDF, but wondering what folks use for their HD DVD ISOs? (Note I am after bit-perfect ripping, not transcoding or AACS stuff).

Disc 1 is absolute trash (took 24 hours to rip due to errors in two of the files), disks 2-10 are all totally fine. The center of disc 1 has a ton of "shiny leakage" (on the left in the pic) compared to all of the others. Additionally given the packaging, disc 1 was the only one exposed to a lot of air, the others are all "trapped" inside the 10-disc caddy, could that have an effect? Or was this just a bad manufacturing job? None of my other bitrot discs have centers that look like this.
I've long had some blank HD DVD-Rs, but I just discovered I also have an HD DVD writer drive. Is there any non-sketch software that can burn an UDF image using this drive onto these discs (under Windows)? I'm not talking authoring, I can make files, but can something make a UFD image and burn it? (I have a max of 10 experiments I ran run before I run out of blanks!)
My US wife got her first US passport in the 90s. She used her married surname, but she had never legally changed her name. Would this even be possible? All her ids and voting records have her married surname, but she claims there was no legal change.
If she DID change it legally, it seems really hard to prove it. I tried searching the county records where she resided at the time, but there doesn't seem to be a state- or country-wide search ability.
My app needs this permission, but I have a customer reporting that they are not prompted to allow it after installation, and it doesn't even show up in Settings where it should be, for my app (other apps show there). Unsurprisingly this breaks my app. Anyone else seen this?
(I don't have a suitable device to put 27 on to repro myself).
No AACS, no bit-rot either - ripped them all easily.
I want to sell it, so I tried to use the Summary feature at https://www.onepeloton.com/history-summary and it rejects my serial number, says it is "invalid or not part of the beta program, checkout our FAQs" and the FAQs make no mention of this.
I have a 7 day trial of Acrobat (on PC) and I have carefully added Page Labels to chapters in individual files. When I combine the chapters into a single PDF, all of the Page Labels are missing in the new document. What am I doing wrong?
I would love to know how my sleep stages map to whether I am sleeping on my left, back or right (or whether it doesn't matter at all). Is there a model which can track this? (I have a Forerunner 165 and old 245).

My 2022 Badlands is claiming I need an oil change real soon. Dealer changed the oil 1650 miles (2 months) ago, seems bogus to me.
The app says I have "4% oil life remaining".
I assume they forgot to reset something when they changed my oil? I can't possibly actually need a change, the last 2 months have been such light usage compared to much longer periods of heavy usage.
I use HotKey attributes on Buttons, with media keys in my app, and on Android it works for vol +/-, on Windows it works for Track Prev/Next/PlayPause, and on Mac nothing works at all.
Looking at what I think is the Mac source https://github.com/AvaloniaUI/Avalonia/blob/main/native/Avalonia.Native/src/OSX/KeyTransform.mm looks like only vol +/- is coded, but I can't even get those to work. I am not a Mac programmer so no idea how to debug this.

I just upgraded my project to .NET10 (on PC/Visual Studio) and am trying to get Mac Rider to build from the same source, but I get NETSDK1045: The current .NET SDK does not support targeting .NET 10.0
In Rider, Settings/Environment shows .NET 10, in Rider's Terminal dotnet --version shows 10.0.302
Building in regular Terminal is fine.
Something in Rider needs switching to .NET 10, but what?
(It's tricky to photograph stuff in glass cabinets, it turns out)
