Suggest me how to make my game more interactive

Hey there!

Recently I got an idea which was that I should develop a game which can be a mix of clicker + idle genre.

So I did. Here is the game.

Now I'm confused on how to make the game more interactive, because at this point, it's just you click and get cash and buy some generators which generate you income while you're offline.

There's not much else to it. I can maybe add more generators to get users to click more, but I have no idea on how to make it actually interactive so players would play it for longer.

I need you guys to try the game and give me some suggestions which I can implement in the game.

(Game is built on React Native btw so there is no 3d stuff)

Thanks!

Should I stop or keep going?

So a while ago I developed BiteTube to counter the days when you're scrolling Youtube for hours trying to find some good, unique content to watch rather than the same junk algorithm throws at you. Idea was to create a platform where the community would come together and manually curate videos they deem worthy to watch, or they think its underrated and then share it with other community members.

But its been a while now since I have worked on it. I still get visitors on my site, but I don't know if I should keep going on or not.

I can't seem to find a distribution method to make it reach my target users.

I need yall to give me feedback, suggestions and any opinion you have on it, and also if I should continue or stop working on it.

Need testers for my game...

Need some testers who would download and test my game. Need some serious people who are kind enough to help me out. Google play console requires 12 testers for 14 days and even if I'm short 1 person it doesn't start the testing phase.

Thanks!

So I built my first mobile game...

I had NO prior experience in mobile app/game development, but recently I built a game on React Native.

Neon Tap is a mind & puzzle game, designed to test your reflexes against the clock. I want you guys to go and play it and give me your opinions on this.

It would be much appreciated, thanks!

What major feature have you pushed this week?

I pushed the "Collections" feature in BiteTube. What it does is you can create your account and then start adding your own playlists of videos which you can share with other people. Most beneficial for content creators because it pushes your content more organically.

Users also have a new "Profile" page now where you can check out your number of likes, dislikes and shares on all of your collections.

And yes, likes, dislikes and shares are available on each collections as well to keep track of how the collections are doing.

This is a pro feature which you can use for free right now.

Tell me what new feature YOU pushed this week!

Youtube-style platform, but no view-driven algorithm or AI, just manually curated

So this week I launched BiteTube which as the title suggests, has a feed for content but without any algorithm which only pushes videos which generate them ad revenue, whether you like them or not.

I think context matters for a lot of videos, since you can't decide the topic of a video from thumbnail and title alone sometimes. So we have context menu which gives you info about who the video is for, why you should watch it as well as when to watch it so you always know what you're getting yourself into.

We also have a dynamic "algorithm" where if you click "Explore More" when you're on a certain type of video, it only shows you videos with that vibe.

Since a lot of people were complaining about Youtubes repetitive algorithm where it only shows you content from the same 10 content creators, as well as pushing fast paced brainrot type of videos, I thought this type of platform is necessary so you can gain back the control on your feed, only watch what you're interested in and then close the app without spending more time than you intended.

You guys can also help in sharing content you deem watchable and useful from the website, as well as leave any type of feedback you have. Thanks for reading : )

What features have you shipped this week?

Here are some features I shipped for BiteTube this week:

  • Added a dedicated “Why it’s worth watching” section so you don't have to watch videos just to end up closing them
  • Built “Continue the Vibe” dynamic discovery which helps user stay on the same vibe of content
  • Polished up the UI to improve user experience
  • Integrated Sanity as the CMS to make managing content easier and efficient

Share what kind of features you shipped in the comments to let other users know about your project!

So a week ago I launched BiteTube, nothing big just a platform where users can share their recommended Youtube videos to curate the feed. So a Youtube feed but without algorithms or view driven AIs.

I built this for the purpose of having a platform where there are quality videos and you don't have to look for them for 10 minutes. We have filters based off mood and duration, as well as collections to watch good quality content non-stop.

But here's the problem. The only time I'm getting users is when I'm consistently posting about it on Reddit. Here's an example:

As you can see, there's a big drop in users because I haven't posted in a while. How do I make users return? Suggest me some ideas which I can work on.

I'm already trying to add more videos to the feed.

So I built this platform where every recommendation is based on real people, no AI or view-driven algorithm. Point is to make people enjoy content once again.

Youtube's algorithm has ruined it. It only pushes brainrot and fast paced videos, or the same 10 creators.

So we need your help to curate this feed, which is manually checked and approved. So no trash here.

So what is the best method to gather feedback on my app BiteTube?

Its a manually curated Youtube feed. If you're tired of Youtube algorithm recommending you videos which only means to drive them views for more ad revenue, this is the correct place to go to.

We have feed curated by users of the app, videos they deem of sharing with others because they are high quality videos to watch, not a view-driven algorithm. Furthermore, we have filters to choose by duration and mood so your experience is always personalized.

But I am kind of lost now, where to go, what to implement or what to improve. Sure I get visitors on my site but I don't get any feedback on it.

What methods do you guys think would work to get a clear idea on what to work on?

As the title says, I have been working on BiteTube which is a platform where users share their recommendations and the feed is curated based on it. So no more views-driven algorithm shoving fast paced brainrot down your throat.

We even have filters based on duration (if you have little time) and mood, so your experience can be personalized.

Help us curate the feed so we don't have to watch low quality garbage recommended by Youtube algorithm.

I'm thinking of adding a "Watch Party" feature on my app BiteTube, where you can share a room code with someone and watch the same video with a designated comment section with emojis and stickers.

What do you guys think?

So a couple days ago I randomly had this thought in my head.

There are so many Youtube videos but I keep getting the same 10 creators recommended to me. And of course I'm not alone. I've seen the meme of people saying we spend 10 minutes searching for a good youtube video to watch while we eat. I've even seen people create entire Instagram page where they post reels related to underrated/must watch Youtube videos.

So I said why not build a platform where people can share videos, which are handpicked and manually approved to show on the feed. So no more brainrot, AI recommended and fast paced videos.

Now for this to grow, I need you guys to help me out and recommend even more videos.

No more spending 10 minutes to find a hidden gem, just for your food to get cold!
