Several weeks ago I found this PlayStation Portable clone called "X6" at a used electronics shop in my city. I found three of them actually, for ten dollars each. I looked it up, and it sounded interesting to me so I went ahead and got them.
So it's an emulation handheld/media player that can play videos, view photos, play music, and it can emulate games for various 8 bit and 16 bit consoles. However, I am using the word "can" very loosely. It's got several built-in games, but you can also put a Micro SD card in it to copy files to it's internal storage, which is 8GB I think. You can save up to six save states for each game, maybe that's why it's called the X6? It uses the circle button to make selections and X to go back on menus, which can be disorienting sometimes.
The only systems it can emulate perfectly are Gameboy and Gameboy Color. (I'm playing Antz for the Gameboy Color in the pictures) I tried some Gameboy Advance games on it, and they ran fine, but they all had a slight audio delay, which personally annoyed me. I tried to run an NES game, it seemed to work perfectly, but crashed after a few minutes every time I tried. Lmao, imagine crashing on an NES game! It doesn't even recognize Sega Master System or Sega Game Gear roms. I tried a Sega Genesis and a Super Nintendo game on it, but both of those ran horribly. At least the video player works great!
The directional keys are 4 separate buttons, so I imagine it would be very uncomfortable for your left thumb to play certain games. There's also a little analog stick but it's not great (and it's missing on two of them) so you might as well use the directional keys instead. It charges with mini USB, and has a 3.5mm to AV out, however, the video signal goes out through the white jack, not the yellow. Weird.
The X6 sounds like a great idea on paper: A multi-system emulation handheld and media player all in one with file transferring and a way to output to a TV. However, it fails to properly emulate most of the systems that it set out to do, making the X6 a huge letdown. That being said, it is kinda hard for me to get mad at it considering I was able to get three of them for only ten dollars each. Oh, and by the way, there's a camera on it so you can take photos on it, but why anyone would want to take photos on this thing is beyond me. Does anyone else here have an X6? What are your thoughts on it?
For context: Time Wars II: Dark Galaxy is the second installment of my Star Wars/The Terminator crossover series. It takes place in an alternate reality where the Terminators take over the Star Wars universe, killing all of it's main characters. Towards the end of the movie, we see a montage of the Terminators going throughout the galaxy to kill various supporting Jedi characters such as Plo Koon and Kit Fisto. I also made this scene, showing the Terminators kill several Jedi in the temple. However, I wanted to keep the final cut of the movie under 40 minutes and realized that would be impossible without cutting this scene out. As it is, I think the montage in the movie gives a good idea about the Terminators killing all of the Jedi.
The context: Time Wars 3 is the third installment of my Star Wars/The Terminator crossover series. The second movie follows an alternate reality where the Terminators kill all of the Jedi, helping Prince Xizor take over the galaxy. Time Wars 3 continues the story where Time Wars II left off. The movie was originally supposed to begin with this scene on Mustafar, where the Terminators seize control of a Battle Droid factory, so they can repurpose it as a Terminator factory, explaining the multitude of Terminators in Time Wars 3. However, I thought I could just explain this away in the opening credits, and I wanted to start the movie with what was actually important to the story (Dooku starting the rebellion against the Terminators), so I cut this out, among other scenes.
It has several roms built in and can also load roms from an SD card if you put them in a folder called "GAMES". It only emulates GBA, nothing else. It uses the X and Y face buttons for the L and R triggers so I imagine playing a game that requires face/shoulder button combos would be really difficult on this. I tested Ice Age for the GBA on it and it plays perfectly. I also tried Shrek 2, that game seemed to work fine except this thing can't save game progress at all, even though there's .sav files for each game on the SD card for some reason. The settings are so basic that they might as well be non-existent. It has an AV out, but it looks horrible. Also, if you try to load the SD card when there isn't one in it, the screen says "PRESS KEY A TO GOON" LOL!
Over all, I'm a little disappointed in it. It's good for playing Ice Age for the Gameboy Advance but that's about it. Can't save progress on games that have that function, (Ice Age is password based so it's fine), can only emulate GBA and nothing else, and the TV out doesn't work properly.
I'm not sure if this post is allowed here but someone suggested this subreddit to me.

To clarify, I didn't tape over the entire movie. Just the space after the movie is over. There was JUST enough time to record the YTP in Extended Play mode (it's about 10 minutes long)
I actually never saw this movie until last night but I saw the YouTube Poop when I was 15 and thought it was one of the funniest things ever 🤣
I always knew about that holographic Grievous but I never thought I'd find one in person. It even includes all of the accessories! It was a Toys R Us exclusive if I remember correctly.
I remember seeing a holographic Ki Adi Mundi still in packaging at Vintage Stock a while back but never got it. It was based on the Phantom Menace Ki Adi Mundi from 1998. Had 2006 "Saga Collection" packaging if I remember correctly.
In the "making of Alien 3" bonus feature, they show a quick compilation of clips from the movie and behind the scenes footage, including the shot of Clemens running across the beach carrying Ripley inside (which was cut out of the movie but reinstated in the Special Edition). Also seen for less than a second is this shot that takes place on the surface area/beach, with one of the Gantry Cranes in the background, as well as fire on the ground, which is interesting. Behind the fire, you can see the prisoners leading the oxen down the lighted trail. The beach scene did make it back into the 2003 Special Edition version of the movie, however, this particular shot wasn't in it. In fact, there were no scenes involving fire on the ground at all. I wonder what the context of this scene is, why there would be fire on the ground outside. Does anyone know more about this? Any ideas?
I picked this VHS up at my local Free Geek today, along with Ben Hur. Sat down and watched it tonight.
Another biblical epic adapting the life of Jesus Christ. I thought it was alright. Personally, I prefer MGM's King of Kings from 4 years prior, that movie felt much bigger in scale and more grand. This one felt kind of small in comparison, but it's not a bad movie at all.
A Biblical Epic about Jesus Christ. I found it at Goodwill a couple weeks ago. Never heard of it before, but it looked interesting to me. I just sat down and watched it tonight and was very impressed with it.
