What do you think Armacham did to handle the family members of their employees who got killed by Alma when President Genevieve Aristide sent them into the Origin Facility to re-open it?

By the time of the Replica uprising, its been a few weeks since Aristide attempted to re-open the Origin Facility, so it would seem that by that time the families of the dead employees would be wondering about their whereabouts, and they would probably ask Armacham about it, or perhaps file missing person police reports.

The 1776 U.S. Declaration of Independence states that King George III of Britain had "endeavored to bring the Indians" on the American colonists, is it correct that George had carried out such a policy?

The text reads:

>"He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages, whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions."

A question about estimating the highest body count (a more precise explanation in the description)

So sometimes people talk about body counts, and out of all the body counts, there has to be a highest, a highest number, kinda like a world record of sorts.

And I'm wondering about the body count for a woman having consensual sex with men while doing it bareback and doing it outside of sex work.

So like, if condoms are used or its in sex work then it doesn't count, it doesn't contribute to the body count number.

And so the question would be what your estimate is for the number for the highest such body count in history so far.

And yeah we might never know the actual number nor who the individual to whom it belongs is, but its just wondering about a guess or an estimate.

[Homebrewing discussion] The topic of Watsonianly sussing out the provenance of Special Order 937 in conjunction with the consideration of AvP content

I came across this old post about attempting to figure out the relationship between Charles Weyland (from the AvP movie) and Peter Weyland (from the Prometheus movie) in a Watsonian manner: https://www.reddit.com/r/Prometheus/comments/a0kuvu/charles_weyland_and_peter_weyland_mystery_solved

And at the same time I was thinking about the provenance of Special Order 937 (SO937), probably the most important event in the Alien setting. There is also the scene about Wey-Yu replacing the old science officer with Ash before the Nostromo's fateful final voyage.

I think that its quite helpful to suss out the nuts and bolts of the background of homebrew worldbuilding for RPG-play, and I think that that might be quite an interesting topic of discussion.

so its about the provenance of SO937, and so perhaps something inspired Weyland-Yutani to issue it, something such as them learning some inkling about the existence of the xenomorphs. And the topic would then be about sussing out (in a Watsonian way) what thing was likely to have given them that inkling.

and well we have the ending of the movie Alien: Covenant with David 8 and his xeno-experiments. And when it comes to AvP, the basic 'Predator x Alien' lore is that the modern-era interactions of the xenomorph-hunting Predators with humans especially emerged during the late stages of the Cold War. And now we also have Alien: Earth as more material which can be considered.

Also if I may be blunt, my view of Ridley Scott is that he has been a brilliant director but a coked-up writer haha. And I think that Noah Hawley didn't manage to formulate clear ideas about applying (intellectually) logical frameworks to the sci-fi genre. He also said that he wasn't sure how Alien: Earth would eventually link up to the Nostromo incident.

And the franchise appears to be undergoing interesting changes, like, the Predator: Badlands movie directly featured Wey-Yu while still labelling itself as being under the Predator name and not the AvP name. Well I guess that no xenomorphs appear, though it does make one wonder about whether a similar converse concept would apply to movies under the Alien name, and whether that would signify the inclusion of Predator material into the more general Alien setting.

But all this aside, this topic is just focusing on the homebrew sussing out of the links between important elements of the lore(s) and the provenance of SO937. And I think that it doesn't necessarily have to be 100% compatible and watertight, just a semi-coherent framework might be good enough to work with.

What other paranormal-scifi topics would you like to see in F.E.A.R.?

So the primary paranormal topic in the F.E.A.R. series is parapsychology, psionics, and what other topics would you like to see become part of the series?

And now please take note, I'm talking about paranormal topics which can be expressed in a sci-fi manner, as i'm not trying to have it be about the genre of magical urban-fantasy.

Like, the example of psionics itself, it was a proposed discipline that aimed to apply analytical principles of scientific methodology and engineering to the study of paranormal, psychic and parapsychological phenomena.

And F.E.A.R. 1 (2005) really layered in the sense of science with parapsychology and psionics, especially when we encountered the huge technological spherical chamber which housed Alma's body. (the "Inner Vault" I guess)

And so too does the 1997 movie Event Horizon, which F.E.A.R. references in an in-game magazine. (though it contradicts the story of Event Horizon, as the public never knew that the Event Horizon vanished in the story) Event Horizon featured a spaceship drive so advanced that it could take you straight to the dimension of Hell while you're still alive.

And well, if you do attempt to combine magical urban-fantasy with sci-fi, you might end up with something like the Shadowrun series. And Shadowrun isn't bad by any means, but it lacks the tone of deep seriousness that F.E.A.R. 1 especially has. And I think that this is the same effect with the tones of F.E.A.R. 2 and 3 especially, which partly illustrates their deviation from the tone of F.E.A.R. 1.

Also, I think that the F.E.A.R. series should have a disciplined approach towards the inclusion of various paranormal topics, which is different from say, some things like SCP or Delta Green, which contain all manner of paranormal things. So there are various problems with too much inclusion of which I can go into further detail.

And when you look at perhaps seemingly similar settings like The X-Files or Hellboy, they do have a central focus. The central focus of The X-Files is aliens and UFOs, ufology. And the Hellboy setting does contain many different things, but it is sort of broadly urban-fantasy and it revolves around the titular character of Hellboy, Anung Un Rama. While the F.E.A.R. setting might not always revolve around the Point Man.

And ok, I hope I haven't written too much to read, back to the question of my post, cheers.

[Seeking Recs] What do you think are some of the most well-known fanfics which don't try to reimagine with an alternate timeline but which try to stick close enough to the existing official canon lore?

And perhaps not necessarily 100% following the official lore, but something that tries to stick close enough to it, perhaps something that might not really look out of place among the official product lines of the official publisher/studio of the IP copyright.

And by well-known I mean in terms of the absolute number of people who might have heard of the fic, and it can come from any fandom or IP.
