Have you accidentally received change from a foreign currency for something you bought in Euros?

Today, I went to the bus, paid my ticket and got some change. When I saw the change, I saw that the cashier accidentally gave a 10 baht coin from Thailand (worth 0.26 euros) instead of 2 euros. As a collector I appreciate this happenstance, probably my first coin from Thailand. But I did a bit of search and I saw that being given change of 10 baht instead of 2 euros is relatively common because of similarities in shape. Have you ever paid for something in euros, only to be given change in a very similar looking coin from a foreign currency because of visually confusing appearances?

The concerning demographic situation in Colombia

The births in Colombia have declined a lot since 2021, as a result of economic reasons, societal changes, crisis as well as the decline of adolescent births by a significant margin (which is a very good thing, as I think its bad that girls give birth at such an early time of their life).

Also, Colombia has seen an abnormally high increase of emigration due to the said reasons, especially to Spain, where the community has nearly doubled from 564,000 in 2022 to more than 1,1 million today. But it has also grew rapidly in countries including Poland or Netherlands as well, even in Ukraine hundreds of Colombian fighters can be seen at any moment fighting.

Thus Colombia, from having a modest growth of population in the late 2010s, now probably has a declining population as the natural growth is not enough to cover for the emigration. Colombia (though I am sure that the present Colombian government is not going to do anything serious for that) should take measures to improve the quality of life and employment opportunities of its residents, as the later is among the core reasons (though the conflict plays a role) for the spike in emigration and decline of fertility in the last 4 years.

Διαβάζετε πειρατικά επιστημονικά άρθρα;

Καθώς οι εταιρείες ζητάνε 30 και 40 ευρώ για να διαβάσεις ένα άρθρο, πόσο συχνά καταφεύγετε σε πειρατικές ιστοσελίδες για να διαβάσετε βιβλία και επιστημονικά άρθρα;

Εγώ το κάνω συχνά.

I suspect this thumbnail is Ai. Can you confirm if that's the case? I have credible reason to believe this.

Hi, this video appeared in my feed today. As I see, its operated by some teenager who loves Kpop, Kdrama and Korean content. Do you think this thumbnail is Ai? The fact that some stars and shapes are weirdly shaped, and the use of the same font for multiple Kpop bands (that generic fonts the Ai systems like specifically) gives me a strong impression that this is Ai and not naturally made.

I think it is an Ai slop thumbnail (this channel is known to use Ai slop thumbnails often).

How much people can speak Hesperic, in 2025

Map format by OfficialScorpio. This map shows how much people speak Hesperic Greek according to the report "Εσπερικά: μια ζώσα γλώσσα" of the Instituto Kervante in 2025.

Hesperic is widely known in Rhemania due to Greek heritage, Zapadoslav countries and Magary due to economic ties and immigration, same for Numidia, Moesia and Varda. In European Union Hesperic Greek is the most important language and after the Polexit it is increasingly taught as first foreign language (before, second foreign).

Τι σκέφτεστε περί της αύξησης των παραδεξιών παρτίδων στην Εσπερική Ατλαντίδα;
