What to do If I own land?

I've just started reading Marx and my social media algorithm has been completely taken over by ML posts. We are farmers, we own land. We farm coconut which doesn't need a lot of labour, me with my family is enough to maintain the farm. We hire labour only for harvest and I pay them what they demand without second thought since I got the ownership of the land from my grandfather. And whenever I try to defend the workers or the idea of communism while having a conversation with my relatives I go through many dilemma (since I didn't read a lot obviously). And instead of pushing myself to find the answer it demotivates me to stay stagnant, idk why I'm also going through some personal problems, so this conversation here is important to me. So the questions are as follows,

I own 10 acres of farmland with coconut plantation. I support land redistribution too. But now as an individual what should I do? Should I use it to earn capital and support the movement? That's what I'm thinking on doing (obviously against my family's will) but is there anything better can be done? I'm in contact with an Communist organisation but haven't got close since the conscious of owning land feels like I am a hypocrite and afraid how are they gonna receive me into the movement if I disclose this to them

I know reading more can give solutions to my questions but I need to talk about it with people and but I'm only surrounded by Rightwing, pro capitalist people. Also it's quite tough to understand things while reading because english isn't my first language and I don't want to read it in my mother tongue too. TIA

Suggestions for good therapist, good hospital for full body checkup and health insurance

Therapist and Psychiatrist

Hi I'm in dire need of suggestions for a good therapist anywhere in coimbatore like coimbatore town area, pollachi, udumalpet, palladam surroundings. It's my first time opting for a therapy session, I don't have any idea about the fees but I for a fact know it'll be costly so kindly mention the therapist with the average fee it'll be more helpful. Also any psychiatrist suggestion to diagnose for possible ADHD

Full body checkup

I need to check for any vitamin deficiency, nervous issues, Osteoarthritis (எலும்பு தேய்மானம்), heart issues, gastrointestinal issues, rbc wbc levels, like almost covering every aspect to take preventive measures and improve the diet. The sheer amount of options and fee that varies from hospital to hospital just made me stuck between choosing the best suitable one. This kinda avoidant behaviour (leaving things and people, ghosting them instead of facing/choosing a solution) also a reason for me to attend a therapy session. Please mention a few good hospitals and which package suits my situation well. Also mention the price if possible

Health insurance

We're a family of 5 (M23, F20, F45, M76, F70). I once had a session with a policybazaar guy, got insurance, cancelled and got a refund because I was tricked to believe that the policy covers fullbody check up in KMCH, PSG etc etc well established hospitals but no it only covered 4 clinics with bad google reviews. I'm thinking of having a discussion with Zerodha ditto but before that I'd love to hear suggestions for my situation, like are these fearmongering about health insurance being a scam true? I know my grandparents are way past the age margin, so what's best for me M23, my sister F20, my mother F45. we have no genetic health conditions or life threatening conditions so far. Should I take insurance for individuals or for the family as a whole.

Thanks for reading, I've done researching myself but I always procrastinate without taking any further actions because I can't take any decision for myself. I can't let it linger anymore it's ruining my work and personal life terribly. TIA

After effects not importing 3d model made in blender

My model looks good in blender but the textures, shaders didn't get imported into Ae/Dimension. Even the materials which gets imported is totally different from what I've seen in blender viewport

I watched tutorials on everything except baking, I'm in a hurry I can't able to watch hour long tuts for that, I've already spent plenty of time watching tuts to create this. If I've known this exporting problem I would've scraped this idea and moved on with another project but I'm knee deep into it now. Short bake tutorials are confusing, others are good but they are too much time consuming

So what I did was just selecting bake, searching for solutions for the errors that popped up, solving it and finally I've baked the model. But yet After effects didn't import nothing. Please help me I'm stuck here

Clips got randomly imported into sequence despite being sorted by name in the bin. And I've done the cut without noticing the order got changed

So I messed up this one. I always import the footage to a bin, proxy them and move to a timeline. It always move in ascending order. So I started chopping down the clips in sequence into million pieces, syncing to fast beat instrumental. But I realised after completion that the order is changed so randomly, I dont know what happened. It was sorted by name while importing from file explorer, when importing into sequence but now I've to go through alla the bits and pieces to arrange them to maintain continuity. Is there any fast way to do it rather than manual slow process. The cuts are too short that I have to be zoom in the timeline so much to view the name of the clips.

Like is there any way I can play the timeline and it shows the name of the clip at the top noticably big, Cause metdata only display's current clip when paused or scrubbed thorugh mouse. TIA

Hybrid cycle suggestions for Rural Coimbatore roads

I live in a rural area along Koduvai road and I need to commute daily on newly laid/damaged roads and dirt tracks respectively. 20km per day. Considering that my budget was 15k and the fact that I have no experience in handling geared bikes, many of them suggested Decathlon rs120 for a good start. But my fear is, will it sustain our road conditions? The panchayat has laid new roads a few months before and just one heavy rain can damage its condition badly. Before while I was asking for suggestions in a sub I totally forgot about that part.

Also I'm choosing a hybrid cycle because I can use it for both cardio and fast commute on different occasions, it's flexible. But I saw people saying constant dirt exposure and bumpy roads can cause faults in geared cycles. I tried asking this to an employee at decathlon but all of them were way too busy and literally every customer was on their own trying out bikes themselves. And since I'm new to cycling I felt very anxious and helpless there

So guys can you please help me with choosing a quality cycle that can sustain our poor road conditions? TIA

How to sequentially place multiple selected clips from various tracks in a timeline into a single track?

I have 100+ trimmed clips in 5 tracks, overlapping each other. Now I need to add handles (extend a little bit in the start and end of the clips) and place the clips at a single track. Is there any way/plugin/script to automate this process? TIA

Converting 3 hours long timeline of 300+ clips into an 1-minute rough cut - What mindset do you guys have while doing rough cut in this situation?

Hi, I'm stuck in this situation where there's a lot of footage, but nothing captures the vibe of the edit that client needs. I'm overthinking as I scrub through the timeline. I always separate footages into good, bad and mid. Here there are more mid and bad compared to the good part, so it's mostly like "this might not be good but anyways im gonna keep the clip incase if I can't find any better clip as I move through", this got me stacking minutes worth of clips as I do rough cut. I don't even know how I am going to make a convincing hook with these clips, like the client provided me the song and reference too but the footages that he sent doesn't capture the vibe since the reference edit is of a vibrant crowded, fun event filmed with drones and all that and mine is a less crowded, less vibrant event with less activities and shot with bad framing, few clips are great but damn everything else is bad and need more postproduction to fix. The reference edit has mask, wipe transitions, speed ramps, match cuts of people dancing etc. But how'd you do these if there are no way possible to fit these effects convincingly into this edit, like there is no subject where I can use mask transition, all it has are people hugging and sitting in auditorium, like a meet and greet, no specific object that looks interesting or anything like that at particular. How to speed ramp convincingly if the only activities in the clip are just sitting, standing, handshake, hug, poses for photoshoot, camera pan, zoom? I may be just a shitty editor for complaining about the footages but how the hell am I gonna create something outta nothing? I don't even complain about the videgrapher, he too can't create somthing outta nothing if the crowd doesnt got the vibe

Pros and bros please suggest me how to handle this situation; I'm halfway into the rough cut and stuck there.

About Slavoj's Recent take on caste

I watched this speech of his and saw a comment by @jimmyadkdsd which exactly mirrored my thoughts on this. I'm sure many people might get confused like me and jimmy after watching the video, so I'm gonna paste the comment here to discuss as it has no interactions/reach there in comment section.

"I'm confused by some points - can someone help here:

  1. I don't know any Indian post-colonial theorists I've read that are pro-caste. No post-colonial thinker would say "who are you to ask about abolishing caste, you're racist/neocolonialist etc." Among political scientists solving the problem of caste and how it trickles into everything is a common theme. So I don't know who or what he is referencing. The closest is common people, where there's a prevailing attitude of suspicion and distrust in anything said by Western sources. It's so bad now that if you criticize the government as an Indian, the mobs/media might call you a foreign agent. But Zizek mentions postcolonial thinkers so don't know who he is referring to there.

  2. When it comes to English, yes anti-caste theorists have considered it more egalitarian. It sheds the external bigotry against and internal bigotry within certain languages/dialects. Dr Ambedkar was a big proponent of English to break down monopolies of knowledge. However, it's simply not true that as you go down the "caste ladder" more people speak English. You can check the demographic data on this. Because caste and class are so intertwined, oppressed castes have fewer resources to learn English and often live in areas where English isn't in the top 2-3 spoken languages outside school. There is definitely a universal drive to learn English - it is the lingua franca and considered vital for social/professional mobility. But among the more affluent in urban India (and therefore in more dominant castes), there are even people who only speak English (an example of how widespread it is).

  3. Yes, ironically imperialists were more "multicultural" as they encouraged the existing ways of life rather than impose their own. A step further actually, since they helped social practices go backwards (with the codification of caste). It was a strategic move. I don't see what's there to praise or appreciate about it though? Is it because it helps prove our universality to be rooted in struggles, rather than a way of life? (A stance I strongly agree with btw).

  4. Also completely true that rhetoric about one way of life or any such homogeneity obscures and erases the reality of different groups. There is no common "way of life". And yes, people from oppressed castes often want to escape caste, not make castes equal (because it is bullshit). The "pride" angle is wrong but recognizing the impact of caste requires acknowledging caste, so many people wear it on their sleeve. However, there's also many, many people who convert to christianity or Buddhism to escape caste and "not be that". Just adding a little nuance to what Zizek says."

Rotoscoping 4k 60fps ProRes footage is taking forever

I'm on i9 13900k, 3080 and 64GB RAM

As I've mentioned I'm rotoscoping 40 seconds worth of 4k 60fps ProRes footage for a talking head video and the process was dead slow. I guess I'm doing something terribly wrong and missing deadlines unlike the pros. I'll write down my workflow here

  1. Precomping "Main_Footage.mxf" as "Roto_base"
  2. Moving "Roto_base" into comp "Roto_Main"
  3. Duplicating "Roto_base" as "Roto_general" and "Roto_refine"
  4. On "Roto_general", Placing playhead on 1st frame, picking up Quick selection tool and selecting the subject and selecting freeze, process takes 30-45mins to complete -- General selection
  5. On "Roto_refine", Placing playhead on 1st frame, picking up Quick selection tool and selecting the subject's head. Then picking up Refine edge tool and refine the hair and press freeze, process takes 30-45mins to complete -- Refining
  6. Placing playhead on random frames to check whether the roto came out good or not, can't preview the whole thing because it takes a lot of time like an hour
  7. Now Moving the "Roto_main" to comp "Final". Duplicating "Roto_main" twice and masking just the hair part to apply inner shadow to cover the white spaces on the hair on both left and right side
  8. Export as Quicktime Transparent animation 60fps via Adobe media encoder. Closing All other apps including Ae and just letting Encoder run the process

Note: In my case,

  1. Previewing and Freezing takes equal amount of time, but previewing is much worse because moving the playhead means the roto will propogate again from the 1st frame thus making it cache up like it was the first time. So I prefer Freezing and then looking for roto mistakes rather than previewing.
  2. If I found any mistake on the froze Roto, I'd Copy the "Main_Footage.mxf" placing above the comps "Roto_main", "Roto_HairInnerShadowLeft", "Roto_HairInnerShadowRight" inside the comp "Final", and just roto the necessary part. I do this because this and unfreezing the comps to re-roto takes the same time but unfreezing a rotoed comp sometimes messes up a perfectly rotoed part in the process of re-rotoing
  3. Mostly the refining the hair makes the opacity of the Rotoed part to flicker, so I use Echo effect to make it opaque
  4. I use Mercury only rather than CUDA because the former is for me. I tried CUDA and it was dead slow.
  5. I create separate project just for roto and work on Full resolution, no proxies
  6. I set up the cache to my C drive which has 300GB free space of 980GB and setup my projects and renders to my D drive which has 120GB free space of 1.98GB. I often Purge all cache after freezing roto
  7. The propagation of roto for 40sec comp took me 30-45mins and rendering output took 3 hours, almost took away 12 hours from the day. I mostly finish a reel for a client in 1 day but this one specifically asked to work on 4k Prores 60fps comps and sequences because the pixels broke while uploading the last reel I've done for them. I've done the last reel in 1080p Prores 30fps for all comps and sequences. Now Rotoing takes a day and actual work takes another day thus not meeting the deadline

While searching the web for solutions, mostly every material said the same thing but I've stumbled upon this post which was relatable atleast, yet the problem remained unsolved. What am I doing wrong, how do the PROs do the job, please help me correct my workflow. TIA

Hi bicycle experts!!! A noob here looking out for bicycle suggestions for my situation/need

Hi, I'm 23M 60kg and I need to spend most of the day sitting before the computer screen. I'm in a village, I need to travel 15-20km daily to see my grandparent. The roads have been reconstructed recently and are fine for now but soon they'll be worn out into resembling offroad tracks which will cause heavy bumping and backpains. What bike would be suitable for my situation? I know a hybrid bike would be apt but dont know which brand and specifications to select and due to overthinking I can't be able to make up my mind and keep postponing the shopping which is making my mental health worse.

And regarding shops, Decathlon near airport and Goldwins Rider's inc were the most popular suggestions

And also a dumb question, most of the hybrid bike stock pics have no carriers as far as I've seen. A carrier is a must in my situation since I need to place the goods/groceries on them. So the question is, do i need to specifically look for hybrid bikes with a carrier or can it be attached to any kind of bike? TIA

Font change for captions after completing the edit

Hi, my problem with all the clients I encounter is they will accept my style choices and after I complete the video they ask for a change in font. So basically I create essential graphic for texts, save as aep templates and reuse them inside Ae like mogrts in premiere, since It's more comfortable for me.

So after laying out 100+ text graphics, when client asks for font change, I need to change them manually which is tiring because copy pasting font means copy pasting the text too. It's wastes a lot of time so meeting deadline will always be at hurry for me.

I tried watching tutorials, tried myself in premiere pro still I can't able to figure out a workflow which suits for my situation. Is there a way to solve my problem, If yes please help me by suggesting me them. TIA
