Anyone tried P. natalensis or P. ochraceocentrata for microdosing?

Hi, I’m thinking about giving mushroom microdosing another try, mainly for my generalized/social anxiety and depression.

I previously microdosed Golden Teachers, but they often made my anxiety worse or made me too emotional, even at relatively low doses (around 50–100mg) following Fadiman’s protocol. Because of that, I’m wondering whether P. natalensis or P. ochraceocentrata might affect anxiety differently.

I’ve read a few reports that Natalensis can have less body load and feel less anxiety-provoking than cubensis. I’m also a bit confused about the difference between true P. natalensis and P. ochraceocentrata, since a lot of what was historically circulated as “Natalensis” apparently turned out to be ochraceocentrata.

Has anyone here microdosed Natalensis or ochraceocentrata, especially if you’re prone to anxiety? Did you notice any difference compared with cubensis in terms of anxiety, emotional effects, or body load?

I’d also be interested in experiences with different Natalensis varieties/genetics such as NSS, Natal Moon, or Natal Hills.

Thank you

P. natalensis / P. ochraceocentrata – experiences with anxiety and microdosing?

Hello, I’m interested in P. natalensis mainly for microdosing and possibly a therapeutic trip for my lifelong generalized and social anxiety, panic attacks, and depression.

I’ve read quite a few reports that they tend to have less body load and can be less anxiety-provoking than cubensis, which is particularly interesting to me. I’m not sure, though, how much of this applies to true P. natalensis vs. P. ochraceocentrata, since a lot of what was historically sold/circulated as “Natalensis” apparently turned out to be ochraceocentrata.

The ones I can get are Natal Super Strength, Natal Moon, Natal Hills, and P. ochraceocentrata.

If you have experience with any of them, I’d be interested in hearing how they compare, especially for someone prone to anxiety. I’m mainly interested in microdosing, but also in what a full trip is like in terms of body load, anxiety, and emotional intensity.

I previously microdosed Golden Teachers, but they often made my anxiety worse or made me too emotional, even at relatively low doses (50–100 mg). I’d like to give microdosing another try, but I’m looking for something that might be physically and psychologically gentler, if that’s even possible.

Thanks for any experiences!

Has Semax ever worsened your anxiety or sleep?

Hello, I wonder if anyone has experienced worsening anxiety or sleep problems from Semax (even at a low dose)?

I suffer from generalized anxiety along with depression and low mood/motivation. I’ve tried Selank before, which did nothing for my anxiety (even at around 600 mcg), and it gave me insomnia and sleep problems even at 200 mcg when taken around noon or earlier.

I’m currently on agomelatine and a low dose of bupropion for my GAD and depression, but I still suffer from very low motivation/mood and energy despite doing cardio daily, red/blue light therapy, following a keto diet (for about a year now), and taking supplements including saffron

I recently reconstituted Semax into a nasal spray but haven’t dared to try it yet. I’m mostly worried about worsening anxiety and sleep problems (especially after my experience with Selank).

I was also prescribed modafinil for low energy and motivation a few months ago, but I haven’t taken it yet for the same reason — more anxiety and sleep problems

For anyone who has used Semax, did it worsen your anxiety or affect your sleep?

Thanks

1+ month into DIY Auvelity - still no benefit and very low motivation

Hi, I have GAD and depression, and I’m a little over a month into DIY Auvelity.

I currently take 90mg bupropion SR around 5-6 PM with 30mg DXM HBr, and another 30mg DXM before sleep. Before that, I was taking both in the morning, but I wasn’t able to function during the day because of the massive brain fog, dizziness, confusion and cognitive impairment, so I started taking them in the evening instead.

The brain fog and dizziness seem to have gotten better over time although my mind definitely doesn’t feel as sharp as before. The bigger problem is that I haven’t noticed any improvement in my anxiety (if anything it might actually be worse). My motivation and energy are basically nonexistent and I don’t really feel much benefit from this combination.

I’m also taking agomelatine which helps quite a lot with sleep and a little bit with anxiety and depression...but I was expecting much more from the bupropion/DXM combination.

My Dr. suggested increasing bupropion from 90mg to 160mg. I’m using a Contrave/Mysimba tablet which contains 90mg bupropion and 8mg naltrexone. I’m a bit hesitant because in the past I took bupropion XL 150mg and later 300mg, and both made my anxiety significantly worse although they did help with depression and motivation. At that time I wasn’t taking DXM.

For people who have been taking DIY or regular Auvelity for a while, is it worth continuing with DXM if there is still basically no benefit after a month? Did things get better later? And does taking it in the morning vs evening make any noticeable difference for you?

Thanks

Anyone tried bupropion + DXM (Auvelity) with piracetam or other racetams?

Hi, has anyone tried combining Auvelity (or bupropion + dextrometrophan) with piracetam or any other racetam?

I recently came across a paper by Dr. Ngo Cheung that proposes adding piracetam (along with L-glutamine) to DIY Auvelity as a way to potentially enhance its glutamatergic effects and make it more similar to ketamine's mechanism. It's only a hypothesis and hasn't been tested in a clinical trial: https://www.frontiersin.org/journals/psychiatry/articles/10.3389/fpsyt.2026.1752101/full

Dr. Cheung also wrote a Reddit post explaining the idea in simpler terms:
https://www.reddit.com/r/NooTopics/comments/1tkaeqq/a_plain_look_at_a_proposed_ketaminelike/

I am considering trying aniracetam and L-glutamine along with my bupropion + DXM regimen. Since aniracetam is also thought to modulate AMPA receptors, I'm curious whether it might help with some of the DXM side effects, especially the brain fog I've been experiencing

1.5 weeks on DIY Auvelity and feeling worse

Hi, I have GAD and depression, and I’ve been taking 90mg bupropion SR with 30mg DXM HBr (blue RoboCough tablets) for about a week and a half.

The side effects are still very hard to deal with, especially severe brain fog, confusion and overall cognitive impairment (even writing this post is difficult). I also haven’t noticed any benefits yet and my anxiety, motivation and mood have actually got worse

I was already taking bupropion for about two weeks before adding DXM. I take Mysimba (Contrave in the US) which contains 90mg bupropion and 8mg naltrexone. It’s the lowest dose of bupropion I can get prescribed here in the EU. In the past I took bupropion XR 150mg and later 300mg, and both doses made my anxiety worse, but they did helped with depression and motivation at that time

I’m also taking tianeptine (Coaxil) 12.5mg three times a day and agomelatine 50mg at night.

I’ve read that for some people the side effects improve after 1 or 2 weeks, but for others it can take 4 to 6 weeks....I can’t imagine feeling like this for much longer with still no signs of improvement.

My doctor can’t give me much guidance because Auvelity isn’t approved in the EU and he doesn’t have any experience with it or with the DIY approach. We discussed it, and he was okay with me trying DXM at a dose similar to what is used in Auvelity

For people who tried either regular Auvelity or a DIY version, did this level of brain fog and confusion eventually go away? Especially interested in anyone who felt worse at first. Was it worth continuing, or did you stop the DXM?

Thank you

Paradoxical insomnia/anxiety reaction to Selank?

Hi, I’ve been struggling with generalized/social anxiety for most of my life, along with a negative rumination loop that has become worse more recently.

About a month ago I tried intranasal Selank. I reconstituted 10 mg with 1 mL BAC water + 4 mL saline and put it in a nasal spray bottle. By my estimate, one spray was around 200 mcg. The peptide came with a Janoshik COA, which I verified through Janoshik’s website.

I started with one spray and didn’t notice much. Then I did two sprays/day (usually in the afternoon) so around 400 mcg/day. The highest I went was three sprays/day for a couple days, but I never really felt calmer or less anxious from it.

Around the same time, my sleep got much worse. I couldn’t fall asleep until 4–5 a.m. and only slept a few hours. My anxiety also got worse, probably partly from the lack of sleep and worrying about whether I’d sleep the next night.

Since stopping Selank, my sleep has slowly been getting back to normal.

I know it could be coincidence, but has anyone else had a paradoxical reaction to Selank, especially insomnia, feeling wired, or even increased anxiety?

Thanks

Low-dose DXM with Bupropion SR/ DIY Auvelity experiences?

Hi, has anyone had success taking Bupropion SR 100-150 mg with just 15mg DXM HBr?

I saw a post where someone said they still got benefits from 15mg, but with way less dizziness/brain fog compared to higher DXM doses.

Curious if anyone else has tried this. Not looking for dosing advice, just personal experiences. Thanks.

Anyone tried Hairgenetix copper peptide serum?

Hi, has anyone used the Hairgenetix copper peptide serum with 10% GHK-Cu and 5% AHK-Cu?

I searched the sub and only found one post mentioning it. Their site shows a few positive Trustpilot reviews, but I couldn’t find any other real feedback or reviews anywhere.

Thanks

Anxiety-prone people: was bupropion SR/ER 100 mg still too activating?

Hi, has anyone who mainly struggles with anxiety tried bupropion SR/ER 100mg once daily?

My main issue is GAD/social anxiety, but I also struggle with depression, low mood, and motivation. I tried XL 150 mg and 300 mg before, it helped my depression/motivation a lot, but made my anxiety much worse (even 150 mg felt too stimulating).

I might be able to get 100 mg prolonged-release through a compounding pharmacy, since only 150/300 XL are available where I live.

Just wondering if 100 mg was still too activating for anxiety-prone people, or if it was more manageable. Thanks.

Skusenosti s eshopmi ako mobilmarket.sk, mobilky.sk a podobne?

Ahoj, mate niekto skusenosti s internetovymi obchodmi ako mobilky.sk, mobilmarket.sk, mobilnetelefony.sk a podobne, ktore predavaju mobilne telefony za podstatne nizsie ceny?

Planoval som kupit Samsung S26 Ultra z mobilmarket.sk (maju celkom vysoke hodnotenie 97%), no ked som si cital recenzie eshopu, tak niekto tam pisal asi 2 tyzdne dozadu prave o S26U, ktory mu prisiel v poskodenej krabici a s porusenou bezpecnostnou plombou.

Mate s nimi nejake skusenosti?

Vďaka

Used Pico 4 Ultra for 300€ instead of 650€ new?

Hi, I’m thinking about getting a Pico 4 Ultra mostly for PCVR. The new one costs around 650€ here, but I found a used one locally for 300€

Seller says it’s in perfect condition, but of course it’s hard to tell from photos. Do you think it’s worth taking the risk for that price, or better to just buy new?

Anything specific I should check before buying?

Thanks

Low-dose Salvia for anxiety / rumination?

Hi, I’ve seen a few anecdotal reports about low-dose or "microdose" Salvia use, but much less than with psilocybin or LSD microdosing.

One of the main sources I’ve found is Christopher Solomon (Salvia Healings), where he talks about low-dose Salvia in a somatic, therapeutic context rather than "tripping"

Classic psychedelic microdosing has often made me feel too emotional and sometimes worsened my anxiety or negative rumination. Since Salvia works mainly through the kappa-opioid receptor system rather than the usual 5-HT2A psychedelic pathway, I’m curious whether others have found low doses to feel calming, grounding, neutral, or destabilizing

Has anyone tried low-dose Salvia specifically for anxiety, depression, or repetitive negative thought loops?

Thank you

Has anyone tried tianeptine (Coaxil) for anxiety/depression?

Hi, I know tianeptine has a pretty bad reputation because of abuse/misuse at high doses, but here in Europe it’s prescribed as an antidepressant at low doses (up to 37.5 mg/day)

My psychiatrist prescribed it to me about a month ago, and I’ve been taking 12.5mg 3x a day for generalized/social anxiety, depression, and rumination

So far the side effects have been mild (mostly some brain fog). I maybe notice a subtle improvement in anxiety/depression, but it’s hard to tell. Nothing major yet. My Dr said it can take longer and told me to give it another month before deciding if it’s working.

I was wondering if anyone here has experience with it at prescribed doses. Thanks

Hi, I am wondering if anyone has had the opposite of the usual calming/grounding effect from low-dose daily caapi/harmalas?

I started taking a B. caapi liquid extract daily (10 drops around noon), standardized to roughly:

• Harmine 5.6 mg, Harmaline 0.1 mg, THH 4.5 mg, Total beta-carbolines 10 mg

I started it hoping it might help with my chronic anxiety, constant negative rumination, and low mood, since I’ve read many reports of low-dose caapi being anti-anxiety

But after about 7-10 days I seem to be getting the opposite:

• noticeably stronger baseline anxiety/inner overstimulation
• unable to fall asleep until 4-5 AM... and then waking after a few hours with pounding heart/adrenaline + hot flushes
• needing more oxazepam than usual just to calm down

For context, I’m also on Tianeptine (Coaxil) 12.5 mg 3x/day (started around 3 weeks ago) and added saffron extract a few days ago, so I realize there are multiple variables, but the timing seems to line up most with introducing the caapi

I’m mainly wondering whether low daily harmala doses can paradoxically increase anxiety/insomnia in some sensitive people, and whether 10 mg total beta-carbolines is enough to noticeably overstimulate the CNS?

Would appreciate hearing from anyone who have experimented with regular low-dose caapi/harmala use

Thank you

Hi, I wanted to ask if anyone has tried a DIY version of Auvelity and actually had success with it?

I’m mainly dealing with generalized anxiety disorder and a constant negative rumination loop that’s been really hard to break out of.

I’m in the EU so I can’t get Auvelity, so DIY is kind of the only option for me right now. I also can’t access the IR version of bupropion, as it doesn’t seem to be available here (the only option would be splitting XR tablets, which I know isn’t ideal).

If you’ve tried something similar, would you mind sharing what your setup looks like (bupropion + DXM), including approximate dosing, frequency, and which form of bupropion you’re using?

I know everyone reacts differently, just trying to get a sense of what’s worked for others

Thanks!

Hi, I’m wondering if anyone has experience with higher-potency B. caapi liquid extracts (like 40:1 or 50:1), especially when taken daily in low or microdoses for mental health.

I’m mainly interested in effects on anxiety, rumination, depression, and overall mood. Did you notice any clear effects, or were they more subtle (possibly even placebo-level)?

Thank you

Hi, I’m wondering if anyone has had success using LSD or psilocybin microdosing specifically for severe anxiety, persistent rumination.

I recently came off vortioxetine 20mg because it made my anxiety a lot worse. At this point I’m not looking to try another antidepressant. Over the past 15 years I’ve been on pretty much everything (including MAOIs like Nardil, and more recently ketamine), but most either didn’t help my anxiety or came with side effects.

Because of GAD, I’ve been taking oxazepam daily for years, so I know I’m dependent at this point. I’m not planning to taper right now (just trying not to increase the dose), but I’m aware it’ll likely be a long process when I do. I’ve read about the Ashton Method and might consider it down the line.

I’m in therapy and do cardio daily. I’m also on a medical ketogenic diet, and I do notice some mental benefits when ketones are higher (around 3–4 mmol/L), but it’s very hard to maintain consistently, especially as a vegetarian.

Would appreciate hearing from anyone in a similar situation, especially how MD affected your anxiety and how it interacted with benzos

Thank you
