Wife just got her motorcycle endorsement and has her eyes set on the TW200

I know and love my wife to pieces but I know I'm going to end up being Mr. Mechanic. Looking for a solid creator/youtube channel to fall back on, as the most mechanical work I've done is basic maintenance on a go-kart a decade ago.

Also, I'm interested in some of the most suggested mods that would make her rides easier.

For reference, she is using this for trail/outdoors as opposed to street travel

Warren Spahn Game Worn Jersey

I am looking to buy Warren Spahn gear for my elderly father.

Is finding something Game Worn from that era unrealistic? I do not know much about baseball memorabilia aside from trading cards.

Edit: budget is $5,000

Hiring - Baseball Artist for 2 Digital Images for Covers of Trading Card Binder - No AI - $500-$900 (negotiable)

I collect baseball cards of a single player, Rick Porcello. I'm usually a pokemon guy but I want to try and "Master Set" this baseball player. He's a pitcher.

Now that I've gotten a healthy number of cards, I want to store them in a custom binder with digital art on the front and back. I've contacted the seller of the binder and he is getting back to me with image resolution/file requirements

Here's what I came up with last night when I couldn't sleep:

  • Front - A catcher's pitch tunneling view of Porcello's Cy Young Winning 2016 campaign using his actual pitch mix trails from BaseballSavant from that year. I'd like the trails to be real, not decorative. I have additional reference material including his 3D Pitch Shape
  • Back - I have less of a firm idea here. Best I came up with so far was leaning into the Porcello name, which means Piglet in Italian. My wife and I have 3 pigs of our own. This is likely the opportunity to do something creative. Perhaps our 3 pigs rooting at the ground on a baseball field? Ultimately very open to suggestions here

My budget is $500-$900 for the pair, negotiable. I'd want the project file along with the finals.

Reply or DM with your portfolio, your rate, and rough turnaround. I'm collecting portfolios through Friday and then I'll come back to everyone.

Note: No AI. Non-negotiable. No team logos or other licensed material. Original got removed.

Bought some Jazz merch in 2024 and just seeing this signature now...did I get scammed or was this a signature from earlier years?

I was going to wear this jersey out tonight but realized it had a "signature" - I checked my email and found a purchase confirmation and a certification number

Is this just a really young kids signature or did I get screwed? I don't care either way, if it's not real then it goes great with my outfit for tonight

It's from Pristine Auctions and came with an authenticity card. Matches the posting too, so I'm not exactly saying I should be surprised

Gauging interest in a "card art"-first searchable database

Gauging interest in a free, never-paid "card art"-first database.

I've been doing software development for about 25 years now. This is currently for personal use but a buddy of mine really wants me to let him use it so I thought, hey maybe the subreddit would like to see it.

I create Themed pages in my binder and started feeling super annoying asking yall in this subreddit for card suggestions within theme, so I built a tool that searches by what's actually happening in the art instead of just card name or set.

Current featureset:

\* Search by what's depicted in the art itself, including cards where a Pokemon shows up as a background cameo, not just its own printed cards

\* Build binders that mirror your real ones: name them, pick a 2x2/3x3/4x4 layout, order the pages

\* Upgrade advisor that suggests better card fits for a themed page

\* Shopping list / completion tracker so you know exactly what's left to finish a page

\* Import your own collection and everything runs locally in your browser, nothing gets uploaded anywhere

\* Always free, no paywall. Ownership and pricing are just extra info on top, not the point of the tool

Still tagging art across the full card pool so coverage keeps growing, but search already works well on what's tagged so far.

Looking for some budget upgrades for my "Cozy Cities, Streets, and Homes" Illustration Rare page

Hello all, I collect Illustration Rares of all price points and turn them into themed pages. You may remember me from this post asking for help completing my "Winter Snow" page

I am looking for some upgrades for this "Cozy Cities, Streets, and Homes" theme and I strongly prefer them to be facing towards the Centerpiece, which is in this case 151 Pikachu.

I'm going for a top down scene, with Talonflame, Metang, and Charmander above the city looking down on the street. Pikachu and Skeledirge are obviously on the street, so Espurr is a bit out of place here as they are within a home, not on the street.

Lastly, the bottom row is inside the home/building, preferably with windows. If anyone is out of place here it's the Chansey - she's inside a Pokemon Center (not a home), the art style is a bit cartoony, and it's more "silly" than "cozy". Note: Lechonk must stay on the page. I have 3 pigs on our farm at home

My budget is $30 per card, but if there's a perfect candidate above those price points then maybe I can save up lol

TL;DR - Some of y'all asked to see more of my themed pages. Here's one that has 9 cards but isn't quite where I want it yet. Looking for upgrades under $30

First major trade in my effort to consolidate. How'd I do?

Can't go wrong with the OG starters imo

Looking for a Centerpiece for my "Winter Snow" Illustration Rare page

EDIT: Considering this solved, Vanillite is perfect in the upper left and Metagross is an amazing Centerpiece, love him and somehow never saw that card

Hello all, I collect Illustration Rares of all price points and turn them into themed pages

I am looking for a Centerpiece for this Winter Snow theme and I strongly prefer it to be essentially facing forward at the viewer

Additionally, I'm looking for the upper left corner but it's a bit more stringent - I'd like it to be at or above tree level and preferably facing right

I'm going for a top down scene, preferably with the subjects facing the Centerpiece

My budget is $200 for the Centerpiece and $75 for the upper left corner, but if there's a perfect candidate above those price points then maybe I can save up lol

Friend of mine pulled Cynthia's Garchomp on DR launch day and sold it to me. Came back PSA 10. Paid him back today. $100 for the lot as a thank you

Have sealed, need advice on switching to slabs to save space

Long time sealed collector but I'm completely out of storage space and thinking about transitioning to slabs. Before I do I wanted to sanity check whether I'm missing anything important.

On the surface it seems like the investment mechanics are similar but I'm wondering about some specific differences that could affect profitability:

- Grading risk/fees: with sealed I can buy and flip immediately. With slabs I'm waiting months and a card I think is a PSA 10 could come back an 8 and kill my expected return

- Pop reports: if a card gets flooded with high grades the value can drop fast in a way that sealed doesn't really have an equivalent for

- Demand drivers seem different too. Sealed rides hype cycles and set nostalgia. Slabs feel more tied to the specific card's relevance which can be more volatile

- Liquidity seems like it cuts both ways. Popular PSA 10s move fast but obscure slabs might actually be harder to sell than sealed

- Reprint risk on sealed is real. Slabs of vintage cards don't have that problem

Am I thinking about this right or am I missing something? Would love to hear from people who have experience on both sides of this.
