What did you think of Rick, particularly in the early episodes of Season 4 as he was being ostracized?

What did you think of Rick, particularly in the early episodes of Season 4 as he was being ostracized?

Did anyone feel bad for the guy? I feel like a lot of the fandom just really hates him, and this feeling is valid. But the older I get, the more I find myself feeling really sorry for Rick when he’s being bullied.

I wish the adults in this situation had protected Rick, as well as his fellow classmates, by denying Rick’s re-enrollment to Degrassi for some time. I think his re-acceptance into the school was a disaster waiting to happen.

I believe in accountability and the power of therapy, and I appreciate Rick trying to apologize to people like Paige and others who were directly affected by his harmful behavior. I admire him for attempting to get professional help. These are big steps in taking responsibility for one’s actions, and there are adults out here in the world who don’t even do this. But sometimes, other people aren’t ready to see or speak to you. Sometimes, the people you’ve hurt aren’t ready to forgive. So I wish Rick had been encouraged to keep a distance, and protected more by his parents at such a raw and vulnerable time.

But what do you guys think?

Chrissy Teigen’s beef with child actor Quvenzhane Wallis, among other children.

A wonderful sight to witness mother elephant carry her little baby with her trunk! Is it a new normal??? Its very special and rare to see a mother gently carrying like this — a beautiful reminder of the deep bonds and care found in the wild

What would you say is the best Mexican restaurant in downtown Savannah, if you had to choose?

I used to love Carlitos on MLK Blvd., but they’ve since moved to Pooler. If you’re in downtown Savannah for the day, where are you going to grab some Mexican food for lunch?

Quiet as it’s kept, this administration is trying hard to make mail-in ballots null and void if states don’t hand over sensitive voting information.

Source: https://www.cnn.com/2026/06/10/politics/postal-service-deliver-mail-in-ballots

Trump’s executive order, dated March 31, 2026, (Ensuring Citizenship Verification And Integrity In Federal Elections) seeks to give USPS an unprecedented role in the midterm elections: not just to deliver ballots, but to police who gets one. This could impact those of us who plan to mail-in vote or vote absentee this November.

The Trump administration has been attempting to garner state’s sensitive and private voter registration information dating back to early 2025. Many states have declined to submit citizen’s private voting data. And elections in America have historically been a state-run endeavor, with little interference from the federal government. One has to wonder what the Trump administration would do with sensitive voter registration information, if they were to obtain it.

I’ve been looking around to see if there is anything citizens or service members abroad can do in the interim, to voice concern against this or ensure our absentee votes will still be counted. I haven’t found anything, but I encourage us all to be aware of our state’s voting schedule for the primary’s this November, and to contact our state representatives about how this executive order could impact our right to vote.

Edit to add the aforementioned Executive Order dated March 31st

This is an insane thing to ask, but I’m asking because I’m genuinely curious. Has anyone here hired a sex worker for personal purposes?

Please delete if not allowed.

I mean a male sex worker’s services.*

I’m a woman in my early 30s but I’m currently going through the wringer.

I’m curious about this, because it’s not often discussed among us women, and I do feel sex work is largely marketed toward and available to men in our society, and not so much toward women.

For my part, I’m going through a divorce, and don’t know what the future holds for me romantically. I don’t know that I will ever experience romance again, or if I even want to. My estranged husband slept with prostitutes, and I judged him harshly for it. Not sure that I’d ever do it, but I’m curious what it might be like for women who have. The idea of pleasurable sex with no strings attached appeals to me in this moment.

Do you think any part of Ethan regrets what he’s done?

Do cheaters ever regret their affairs, or understand the damage they cause?

My heart goes out to her

Throughout this show, Rue’s mom literally saw her at her very worst. She survived not only the slow, painful death of her husband and father of her kids, but she had to watch as both her daughters faltered under the weight of their grief and loss, and she had to watch almost helplessly as Rue caved under the weight of her addiction. My heart goes out to Gia as well. Grief and addiction really caused so much damage to this family.

I know these are fictional characters, but my heart goes out to Mrs. Leslie Bennett. I think we’ve watched her experience and live through a lot of loss. Shout out to all the mothers out there and all the parents out there trying to save your kids from addiction or any struggle.

And shout out to Nika King for portraying Mrs. Leslie
Bennett all these years! We love you!

Still absolutely in awe of Céline and her most recent social media post, advertising upcoming live performances 🥹

The beauty. The movement. The strength and confidence, after years, time away, and heal challenges.

She looks regal. She looks strong. She looks ready. I am so grateful she’s here, and I’m excited for her to return to the stage.

Always rooting for Céline! 🥹

Disappointed that this is the song, message, and image that she chose to convey to start a new era. I feel she should get help now.

“I hate that I made you guys love me. I didn’t even try. I hate your judgement. Keep my name out of your mouth.”

This message is in such poor taste to bring in a new musical era. She lacks any accountability and wants us to go mind our own business, not hers.

But she wears her wounds and troubles like an armor, exposing her bones and expecting us not to look or speak. And then she just wants to hide away and pretend she’s fine and people are overreacting about her image and her patterns of behavior. It’s dysfunctional, and her attitude is reflected in the song’s lyrics.

Her delusion is loud, but unfortunately, she continues to be celebrated by fans and stans. But maybe she should stop performing and get help right now.

I don’t know her. I could be wrong about it all. But something tells me, she’s not ok.

Something is wrong by the looks of things, but also, everything is fine by the looks of things? I’m having trouble seeing Ariana Grande

I am genuinely gobsmacked seeing Ariana’s bones through her skin. I’m tired of having to wonder or second guess if this person is ok or not. Others in this sub have pointed out when she looks unwell and I’ve defended her to kingdom come. But it’s getting harder and harder for me to defend or admire someone like her. It’s getting to a point where I might have to stop engaging. Because every time I see her, I see someone unwell.

When you look at her, it’s almost glaringly clear that Ariana probably isn’t doing well. Her frail frame reflects a frail character and frail integrity.

I’m also disappointed with the narrative she’s choosing to push with her music. Eternal Sunshine was one thing, but to carry on with this message that fans are in the wrong for being disappointed with her foul behavior even into another album…anther era?

I’m tired of her playing this victim, on a huge public platform, when she’s the one who helped break up another woman’s marriage and family. Why write songs painting yourself as the victim of public judgement? Why even address it, if you’re not going to have any empathy for the woman you cheated of her husband, family, and potential life?

This sounds stupid, but I’m shocked and saddened that Ariana and Ethan can be such sensitive artists, capable of empathy and putting themselves in different character’s shoes…but when it comes to their own real life behavior, and how it definitely impacted Dr. Lily Jay, they have no empathy, no remorse, and no regrets. It is so disappointing that they hold so much power and influence, and Dr. Lily Jay just has to survive her life while Ariana is constantly in movies and music.

Very much reminds me of “We Can’t Be Friends” and “Yes, And” in terms of messaging. The lyrics paint a picture that she’s displeased with the fandom or general public for their perception of her

I listened to “Hate That I Made You Love Me” moments ago and have thoughts.

Good

I actually like the song. I appreciate the production and melodies. My favorite is probably that upward melodic trail where she sings “i will find my way from you…” I also enjoy some of the lyrics. “Like flowers from a tomb” hits for me, and I’m going through a divorce right now so lyrics like these speak to my soul in a way I didn’t expect. I also appreciate the understated vocals and soft harmonies on this song. Whatever this era has in store, I’ll be standing by in quiet anticipation, despite my distaste for some other things.

Bad?

Coming to the bridge, it’s quite clear this song is directed (at least in part) toward the public. It’s apparent by the lyrics that Ariana Grande is affected by public scrutiny, and the way some fans and commentators engage with her image. I noticed how in Verse 2 of this song, when she sings, “and borrowed my body,” the sound drops out and there is a moment of silence. It suggests that Ariana notes the public discourse about her body, and maybe she’ll be addressing more of this issue on the pending album.

Broader Opinion

I don’t know if I appreciate how Ariana constantly somehow makes herself the victim in her narratives on songs like these. Like, “We can’t be friends. I’m sleeping with him. And? It’s not my fault you’re all obsessed with me. I didn’t even try….Why do you hate women so much?”

Maybe all this is true in her mind, that she didn’t try to garner fans or build a thriving career. But the reality is, Ariana Grande tried very hard to create an image and persona that could be generally well-liked. She crafted herself and her music and creative outputs very carefully all these years, and ironically, she also played a very real part in her own suffering.

When you make a pattern of sleeping with taken or married men, lick donuts in public, and do other unseemly things as a well known figure, that tends to cause spectacle or garner critiques. She’s earned the attention and adoration she’s received, both good and bad. But does she see things that way?

Over all, I actually enjoy the song, and I’m curious about what the rest of this Petal era will bring. Somehow, I’m still charmed by, and curious about Ariana’s artistry and creative evolution. I am a fan and enjoy how she continues to express herself in a broad music market.

I guess I just wish her personal evolution and sense of responsibility or maturity were more actualized, too.

But what do you think?
