Holding out for living donor, but feeling like crap

It's been almost 23 years since my first transplant but the kidney is nearing end of life and I need a new one. For almost the past year I've been fortunate to have 50+ donors sign up for testing, but no matches yet due to high CPRA.

My center just joined a pairing network program, and I'm trying to hold out hope for a match, but am wondering when I should switch to active on the deceased donor list. I was active for a month and got two offers, but it didn't seem right at the time to take as I was feeling much better than I do now...

I'm struggling because I have had some many people sign up to donate that I feel like should hold as long as I can to find a pair match. Living donor also leaves a deceased kidney for someone else who needs it... But my labs dropped suddenly this month and I don't think dialysis is too far off.

Anyone got some advice? I'm second guessing myself too much lately.

Need Help Finding a Kidney

Hey All

TL;DR, I'm in need of a kidney and am having a hard time finding a match.

Little bit longer explanation, I'm a kidney transplant patient going on 23 years, but my transplanted kidney is starting to wear out. When I was a kid, I got sick with strep and it went to my kidneys eventually leading to my transplant in my 20's.

Well, because of that transplant, I've been able to do some great things, but the downside is I've picked up some additional antibodies along the way, making finding a match much more difficult.

It's been a little over half a year in the search and roughly 50 people have been tested, which is amazing, but no match. Wondering if you all wouldn't mind taking a look at my site, maybe sharing it around?

I'm happy to answer any questions about kidney transplants here, love spreading awareness about it.

Thanks!

"That song from the late 1900's"

Literally what a 23 year old said to me tonight when I was talking about a Third Eye Blind song. The entire group of people my age stopped dead in their conversations, looked at him and unanimously said, "No..... We don't say that. We say the late 90's."

Felt bad for the kid.... Felt worse for all of us 40-somethings all thinking WTF 😂

First time Buyer - Master Spa vs Hot Springs

Been wanting a hot tub for a while, family of 4. Spent the day at a couple places and am narrowing down between a Master Spa Twilight 7.2 for $14k or a Hot Springs for closer to $11k. Both would be salt with cover, delivery, install, etc.

Seems like the Master Spa might be more powerful jets and better build quality, based on sales guy and what I've read ... But I'm only planning to be in this house another 7 - 10 years.

Sounds like the Master Spa is easier / less expensive parts, too, and I think the sales guy could get the price down some. Wondering if it's worth the extra money or not. Looking for opinions.

How do you get this box?

I thought I'd need 9s to take over a robot and fly to it, but the machine isn't strong enough to get that high

What is this and why is it loose?

I'm trying to track down a creaking sound when going over bumps. Someone suggested checking the sway bar / link by pushing jeep side to side. When I do, it makes the creak and if I hold on to the part, the sound stops

Is this the sway bar link? Is it supposed to be a little loose? I tried tightening the boot but it's pretty firm, and it looks like there's markings so I didn't know if it would affect alignment.

I'll add another pic in comments.

Thanks for the help;

Creak / Click over bumps

2020 JL Wrangler

Just went through and tightened down all the shocks. Still hearing this clicking over bumps. Sway bar bushings?

Finally got around to making some Chicago dogs! Forgot the onion on the first but quickly made up for it.

Happy Father's Day!
