why do a lot of women (educated and non educated) want to have children and give birth? isnt it hard? is the reason purely because of society and stuff only or does biology have anything to do with this? (pls link studies if is biological thanks)

My friend called it "brainwashing" from society and i just don't understand how exactly..... sorry pls help :(

Are women brainwashed by society and people into becoming mothers? because how else would any woman want to give birth and have kids unless for selfish reasons?

saw this question on r/childfree once and it made me wonder so i decided to ask :), is there truly a thing as a biological urge? is it hormones when u get pregnant that make u want the baby? because some women despite not wanting any kids, do not get an abortion and find the choice very hard because according to them NOW they want the kid

pls if u have any scientific articles or studies proving its somewhat biological just link them and thank you

How to keep the right padding on my headphones

I keep fixing it and it keeps coming off after some uses, what do I do?

i appreciate my single mother and similar single moms who try their best for their children

I was raised by a single mom and i love her and appreciate everything she ever did for me and my little sister, today is her 50th birthday we had a lot of fun, i cried to myself a little seeing how far she had come to raising me all by herself, we are from quiet a conservative country where being single woman with little girls makes u more susceptible to getting taken advantage of by others and beaten down, I am so proud of my mother for pushing through all that alone while still giving us an amazing life, even while spending 10 gruling years with my abusive dad/ ur abusive husband.

idk where else to make an appretiation post for my mother to be honest :)

what constitutes a bad or good person?

So i have been thinking about this, we tend to call anyone and most people who do not follow good ethics to a T, a bad person

like for example, a homophobe is seen as a bad person right? what if they give to charity regularly, volunteer and cook food to homeless people? would they still be classified or seen as a bad person? (for clarification the level of homophobia i mean is NOT the kill all gay people type but is like "i tolerate gay people" type of centrist)

does the moment a person brings another human being into harms way on purpose make them a bad person?

would a person who is a very liberal activist, but still doesnt mind to hunt animals and eat them, doesnt care for the endangered animals/ species / or believes in anthropocentrism, a bad person?

idk i am bad at giving examples sorry :c, hope yall can understand what i am saying

It's sad that people in the muslim community fear modern more progressive and better ideas and policies similar to the way polytheists and quraish did back then when islam was still new

honestly our umma right now doesnt feel so different from the muslim's enemies back then :(

How do I write lovers healing from a unhealthy condpendent relationship without making them healthy?

The main couples go through this incident in the middle of the story which makes them cling to each other in an unhealthy way never leaving each other or are too afraid to do so, even if one of them is in the shower or in the bathrooom in general, the friend group notices it and wants to help or wants to try and get them back a little to their old selves (they werent 100% healthy okay or not codpendent before, there were some signs of an unhealthy dynamic)

I dont want the main couple in the end to be "normal" or "100% not codependent" i want them to still have the need for each other or a flavor similar to it after the development without making the reader totally repulsed by it

genre: dark romance

Is the word trauma over used for any bad situation overused nowadays or am I the one who doesn't understand what trauma is...?

like when someone says "I was traumatized when my friend left me at 15 years old after 3 years of friendship..."

how is a friend leaving you/ not being friends with you anymore, trauma? I can't wrap my head around it, it feels like sometimes you can't say or do anything normal in fear of giving people trauma sometimes

like i recently saw someone say "being the parent of a disabled child is traumatizing" how?

Does an attractive woman dating an ugly or unattractive man, means she conforms to patriarchal standards?

Like does a woman choosing to and falling in love with a man deemed "out of her league" conform to the idea that men can be as ugly and unattractive as they want and still have the privilege of being loved in general let alone by another attractive woman unlike many unattractive or ugly women who don't even get a date or any kind of respect by men because of their looks?

because at the same time people praise an ugly man when he dates an attractive woman, but they question it and get mean when an unattractive woman dates an attractive man, so is choosing to date a person who is unattractive by "conventional" sociatal standards means she is not a feminist?

Interesting observation regarding the female and male character's ultimate talents

An interesting observation regarding the ultimate talents

So, think about it

In dangan almost all the "weird"/non-traditional talents are given to the guys

Makoto and nagito's talent is being lucky, byakuya's is being rich, rantaro's is literally living, fuyuhiko's is being born into a mob family, kiibo's is just existing, taka's is lit being a good boy, mondo's inheriting the biker leader title from his older brother.

And for the professions you have entomologist, anthropologist, astronaut, supereme leader, imposter, breeder

For the girls it's much simpler and more "normal" with the only exception i can think of at the top of my head being sonia

Gamer, inventor, artist, photographer, dancer, writer, nurse, musician, maid

Also almost all the athletic type of talents like the physical prowess ones are all given to women,

Swordswoman, martial arts, swimming pro, assasin, akido master, gymnast, soldier

Idk where i'm going with this but it's an interesting observation

( u/mid-sora thanks for helping me write this >:))
