I am a 30F moving to SF for law school in late July. I am exploring potential housing options near campus.

What I am looking for: Ideally I am seeking a private bedroom and bathroom. Would love if there was laundry options in the apartment or building. No furniture needed. Would like to live with women only. Would love to stay under $1800 but will go up to $2100 if needed.

A bit about me: I have been a working full time since I was 18 and have either lived with family or in a studio on my own. I can be kind of introverted at home which has always made me nervous about living with someone. I will be away for a lot of the day for school and studying. On the weekends I am likely to be a homebody in my room. I like to go salsa dancing, I love historical documentaries, and chatting with my friends over happy hour or group texts.

Hopefully I am using this sub correctly (and sorry if I am not). Lmk if you're interested or want to ask more questions or want to chat.

I am an soon-to-be graduate student at USF and a life-long Southern Californian. I'm realizing how other-worldly the housing market is in the City of SF so I am exploring potential other options in some of the neighboring areas.

Would you consider living in Daly City/South San Francisco, lower Marin/Sausalito, or Western Oakland?

Daly City/S.SF makes the most sense to me as an outsider but one of the administrators from the school was telling me her commute from Marin County was easy. I also see lots of people talk about the East Bay for housing.

For simplicity's sake: let's assume I can get a parking spot at the school and that the apartment also has parking.

Hi LA hotgirlies!

I posted a couple months back asking for recs for a birthday bar. You all were soooo amazingly helpful for my planning.

I am running into a hiccup. My 30th birthday is on a Sunday and I am planning to HH on a Saturday or Friday so I can nurse my hangover on the day-of.

I have been getting some feedback from bars I have reached out to that it's really packed on weekends so they don't really do reservations but can't recommend space for a 20 person party.

Has anyone had recent bdays they've attended on a weekend where the space was cute but it was doable?

Sorry to double-dip for advice on this one. I have never had a bday party in adulthood so I am getting a little nervous 💗
