How long can mania last?

How long can mania last? Can a person experience a series of tragic events within a relatively short period of time without having enough time to process or recover from one before being hit with another, until eventually they become completely overwhelmed and experience full-blown psychosis? Almost like the brain never gets a chance to breathe before being thrown into another traumatic experience, until eventually both the mind and body hit a brick wall?

Mental Health Advance Directive

I’m not sure if every state has one of these, but I wanted to share because I don’t think a lot of people know they exist.

God willing, I hope I never need another mental health hospitalization, but if I do, I hope having this in place helps make sure my wishes are known when I might not be in a mental headspace to advocate for myself.

It allows you to document your preferences for mental health treatment ahead of time, while you’re well. It think it might be something worth looking into. Just wanted to share .

Hydration and skin barrier I think

I’ve started using tret once a week. I’m running out of my byoma hydrating serum. I’m looking for a replacement that provides hydration and barrier support (from my research that’s what I think I need….could be wrong). My face seems to be doing well so far, but my lower cheeks and chin still need more hydrating and I’m not sure the byoma was doing the trick. White flakes which have subsided greatly all over my face except that area and texture. When I don’t use tret that’s my morning and night routine minus the byoma oil. When I do use the tret I sandwich it inbetween the illiyoon and then finish with the byoma oil. I dunno, I’m still trying to figure out k-beauty products. There is so much terminology…..humectant, emmulsion, peptides. Sometimes I feel like I’m learning a foreign
language….lol.

Forgot to mention I was on 2-rounds of Accutane a few years back and I didn’t take care of my face afterwards. Hence my Mojave desert type skin..Noxema, body wash, Vaseline, coco body, stridex pads were my face go too’s. I do know my skin barrier was fu*ked. I’ve beeen working since March to repair it and it’s come a long way. I’m on 025 tret. Sorry for the long post. Groups like these have really put me on a new skin path that’s working and I appreciate you all. So, I’m coming to one of my homes for help….lol.

Current routine below:

Vanicream Gentle Facial Cleanser (or rinse with water)
Haruharu Black Rice Hyaluronic Toner
Haruharu Black Rice Probiotics Barrier Essence
Medicube pdrn salmon pink
Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule
COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Essence
Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream

How do you remove your eye make-up?

How do you remove your eye make-up? I’ve heard of double cleansers, but since I have extremely dry skin I thought it might dry my skin out. Can I use toner to remove my make-up. Not sure what to do. Last night I used Vaseline which was a complete mess.

Uploading Navigation Update

I have a 2022 Genesis g70 and I’ve been trying to upload the updated navigation to my car. The instructions on the website says to use a 32gb thumb drive, but whenever I download it to the drive and then to the car it says no file found. I’m so frustrated…..please help.

Please stop touching me

My partner likes to spoon at night to go to sleep. Recently, it has really started to bother me. It’s not the cuddling it’s the touching. I immediately become overstimulated and I lay there like I’m in a choke hold until I eventually fall asleep a few hours later. How do I tell my partner that cuddling makes me feel like I’ve been captured and can’t get break free…lol. In my mind I’m literally fighting for my life. 😀😀

My skin barrier is in love…

I wanted to add another serum to help repair my skin barrier. Someone recommended it. I know this is impossible, but I swear my face looked so much better. My cheeks (chronically dry) felt so smooth. My face just looked healthier. I can’t explain it. But it has definitely made a difference. My skin type is Mojave Desert. I just wanted to share my love story…..LoL

Removed patch and forgot to put a new one on

I took my estrogen patch off with the intention of putting a new one on. I got distracted and totally forgot I didn’t put on on until the next day. Could I have felt side effects from missing the patch for one day? I felt really off and can’t quite explain the feeling, but there was something definitely happening.

Does recovery time depend on type of hysterectomy?

I had a total hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy (uterus, both ovaries, both fallopian tubes removed) and a cystoscopy done concurrently, precautionary bladder check. Does recovery time and post-op symptoms matter depending on the type of surgery? I’m 12dpo. By 1pm I need a nap like I worked all day…lol. I feel some pressure in my lower abdomen, but not really any pain…just a little discomfort and lethargic. My c-section cut was used…so it’s not a large cut. Noticing when I urinate and I think I’m done, more comes out. I had surgery due to Adenomyosis. I also had PCOS. I did start my estradiol patch as soon as I woke up from surgery….lol. I brought it with me. lol. I know everybody’s recovery time is different, but still wanted to check in. Thanks.

Is Tretinoin the same as exfoliating?

I’m at the exfoliant stage. My derm gave me .025% tretinoin. Is using tretinoin the same as exfoliating? I would use either only one a week and seal it with a heavier moisturizer like cervae moisturizing cream vs. the illiyoon cream that I typically use. Don’t have a clue about what exfoliant I would use. I have extremly dry skin. Appreciate your help.

Skin barrier is healed. Exfoliant recommendations.

I’ve been working to repair my skin barrier for the past 6-months. I have very dry desert like skin..lol. I made a post about a week ago about knowing if your skin barrier was healed - thank you for all your comments they helped a lot. Since that post I added the medicube prn. So far pdrn has been a great addition and makes my skin look dewy. No burning or itching feelings since it was newly introduced. Now I want to exfoliate. I have tretinoin cream 0.025 from my derm. Is that the same thing as using a exfoliant? Do I skip the exfoliant step all together (would’ve used it once a week) and move straight to using the tretinoin once a week? Thanks for your help. If not, can you recommend a exfoliant for extremely dry skin. I know I ask 1,001 questions…lol. So I appreciate your patience.

Looking for smudgeless eyeliner

I am so tired of looking like I have 2-black eyes by the end of the day. By 3pm I’m literally having to wipe the eyeliner from under my eyes because it’s smeared like I slept in it. LoL. Any suggestions for a non-raccoon looking eye liner or techniques to prevent or lessen smudging would be greatly appreciated.

Dry Skin & KP

I have very dry skin. Like desert dry..lol. After I shower. I use Palmers cocoa butter in a jar. By the time I get to work it’s like I never used anything at all. Can you say ashy…lol. I was thinking of getting Urea 60% and thought it might help. But I saw the word acid and decided that might not be a good move….lol. I also have this chicken skin thing (research says it keratin…..) happening on the backs of my thighs and arms. Help!! Please! Grateful for any suggestions.

Are there any eyebrow dupes for Benefit’s Precisely My Brow Pencil

I’m new to brow pencils, but is $27 the going rate for a eyebrow pencil? Thanks for suggestions and advice because I am truly clueless.

Dr.Melaxin Collagen Multi Balm Stick

I tried the balm stick but it was super greasy. I placed it under my eyes but a few hours later my eyeliner smeared. I guess I was too close to my waterline. Should I have put it on at night. Was it even worth the purchase? Is there a better one? Thanks for all your help.
