I’m always hungry ;(

I’m 5ft3 (well 5ft2.5) and 140lbs (or 159 cm / 63.5kg). I’m fairly active (run at least 25 weekly miles / 40k, do 1.5hrs of spinning a week, and 30mins of yoga / pilates everyday). I also walk the doggos so overall I take 10k+ steps everyday, I do have a desk job and WFH. I’m eating around 1500-1600 calories 6 days a week, and I have a day of around 2200 calories.

I look great, my athletic performance is good (and getting better), but I’m always hungry ;/ . The really sad story is that I’m only maintaining.

For context, my activity levels haven’t changed that much (I’m running more but I used to cycle quite a bit), but when I was heavier (15lbs heavier), I didn’t have to look at what I ate like a hawk and maintained that weight without a problem.

Is this the sad reality of my lower weight?

7.5 yo Airedale is limping from her left hind leg

She’s in absolutely no pain, we’ve checked her legs and paw and nothing seems off. I only noticed it today, and she was fine for a lot of her usual
Walkies.

I’ll take to the vet’s, but she’s never likes it and has to be sedated so I’d rather avoid that if possible.

Been off it for 2 weeks my athletic performance is finally back

So I was on it for 2 months to undo some side effects of HRT. I lost around 20lbs (10kg), but also noticed that my increased HR made it very difficult to keep my normal pace when running. This is my second long run after my last dose (2.5mg) and I’m back to a pace I would have expected. I feel my HR is still a bit on the higher end, but nothing too bad.

It will be interesting to see how maintenance goes, as well as my running metrics.

Glad I took it, but also glad it’s over ;)

Employer has messed up my pension contributions

Hi!

I’ve been with my employer for 4 months. They have a very decent pension match scheme BUT unfortunately they’ve deducted from my salaries from my first payslip, but only partial amounts have reached my pension provider.

They also randomly changed my contribution rate without notifying me.

The question is, can they do what they’re doing? I believe they can’t. I’m sure I’ll get my contributions paid into my pot, but I genuinely don’t want to contribute more than what was originally agreed.

Also, what’s the best way to get that extra paid back? Via a refund? Or by not paying as much in the next few months?

Settle this for me…. When should our clients contact us vs support?

I reckon there’s no right nor wrong answer here. But my colleague and I (she’s an IM) have a bit of a different view of things.

She thinks that basically all product related questions go to support.

I think that there are some obvious ones like “I can’t login/ forgot my password” or “there’s a bug/glitch” that should definitely go to Support.

However, I think the “how to” type of questions are absolutely fine to be answered by the CSM, if it becomes repetitive, then that’s when you create mini videos or whatever.

There’s also the ones where it’s clearly a bug, but they’re not sure about it. I normally troubleshoot with them first and then raise the ticket. - to me this one is definitely a grey area, but I’m still fairly new so I take it as my learning curve with the platform.

This conversation started because I’m going away for a week , and there’s nobody who can cover for me. I’ve asked the AEs (who have said they will) but my colleague is completely opposed to cover for me (which I get). My fellow CSMs are across the pond and have no idea of my accounts, so asking them to cover seems super pointless.

Overall i do agree that support should
Be able to help cover and that CSM type of questions can wait a week, but I’ve never been in a situation when I have no one to actually cover for me!

Super dumb question… shopping around / appointment etiquette

I’m planning to book a few appointments with a few high end jewelers (Cartier being one of them) what’s the actual etiquette if I’m just shopping around until
I find what I actually want?

I’ve made appointments before with likes of Dior, Chanel, etc… but those times I already knew what I was buying and that I would definitely buy it.

I’m at capacity… but hiring someone else will take some time

I’m a CSM at a fairly big Martech company (1000+ employees) and I’m struggling with what feels like a planning issue rather than a workload issue.

Yesterday I had a conversation with the C suite about my capacity. They agreed I’m full and that the business needs another CSM (I’m the only one in region).

Today I was told, with only a few hours’ notice, that another account was being transferred to me because it had crossed an ARR threshold. It’s not a new logo , it already has a CSM (India based - low ARR accounts are signed to a team over there).

The complication is that over time I’ve also inherited a number of “exception” accounts (customers moved because of issues with their CSM, requests from Sales, etc.), so my book isn’t purely the result of the standard allocation rules.

My manager’s response was essentially, “That’s the process.”

Passing that account to me seems extremely myopic. The C suite agrees with me (CCO and CRO). I think I can probably manage net new accounts while we hire someone (maybe they just get an extended implementation).

If you have been in place what have you done?

If capacity has already been flagged and hiring is in progress, do you:

keep assigning accounts according to the rules regardless,
pause transfers,
temporarily reassign them elsewhere,
or accept a lower level of service until capacity catches up?

One of the biggest catch22s is that I’ve gained these accounts because of the complaints about this particular CSM. I also think this customer ping pong is terrible customer experience for them.

For context I have 35 accounts and a BOB of $3 million .

The tool isn’t hard to use but it does need “strategy” behind it.

I also think I’ve ruffled some feathers because I have a direct relationship with the c suite but skip my manager (at times). The governance around my role is terrible but that’s a separate subject altogether!

F/42/5ft3/ [161lbs >141lbs = 20lbs] basically 2 month difference

I went on zepbound because HRT made me gain tons of weight and massive boobs, I hated it!

I’m still technically overweight but I don’t care! Might have to add the after in a reply!

u/msac84 — 30 days ago

Still overweight but I have abs and super happy with my reflection.

I’m 5ft3 and still overweight
Routine: 4x runs 3x rides, 5x Pilates/yoga no gym, no weights .

I wanted to post this here because as short women, we are constantly told that the scale (or lifting heavy) are the ultimate gold standard measurements.

I’ve been a dedicated long-distance runner for nearly a decade. I know how to work hard, and I know my body. But perimenopause threw a massive wrench in the gears, and starting HRT completely threw my body out of whack, making me incredibly "poofy" and soft. It is a massive mental struggle to log heavy mileage, eat OK, and watch your reflection completely refuse to mirror your hard work because of a hormonal shift. You look in the mirror and just don't recognize yourself. My boobs were huge I had a double chin. I only lost around 15lbs.

I recently used a short course of zepbound purely as a temporary circuit breaker to bypass that hormonal block. The side effects were brutal, and I'm currently winding down to finish it up because I’m happy with my reflection. HRT definitely messed up with my body and I’m also weaning myself off of it.

My body isn't perfect, but it's strong. It's a reminder that you can be "overweight" on paper, never touch a dumbbell, and still be a lean, strong athlete with visible abs. The number on the scale doesn't define your fitness. Hey, I even fit in some size 0 (which I’m sure is vanity sizing!)

Any tips for the last two weeks?

So I’m on my penultimate dose (currently at 2.5mg) I would have been on MJ for only 2 months and even though I don’t know how much more I’ll lose (I’m guessing 3lbs give or take), I’ve reached a point where a) I’ve reached my goal and b) I’m happy with the reflection in the mirror. I mostly gained weight thanks to HRT (which I’ve also scaled down).
ironically I’m still not a healthy BMI lol!
anywho any tips for weaning myself off it?

Trying again!

Last time people kept saying I needed to lose weight (or I looked chubby) but I don’t need to (I’m athletic).

I have virtually no friends and the ones I have I just can’t cope with them anymore

I don’t have a lot of friends (3, but at this point you can probably say just 1). I don’t like people in general (my empathy level is low).

Anywho, I really like this friend and care about her but don’t think I can’t have her near me anymore. There’s just too much chaos in her life.

Her house is a mess (there’s literally food waste in the floor, floors stained with god only knows what, trash everywhere on the floor). Just going inside her house gives me a gag reflex.

She’s always trying to find a different job (always asks how can she get a job like mine), always complains her employers have been at faukt, etc… when in reality she’s just lazy (and depressed) she has zero motivation in life. I passed her a decent job that would eventually get her my type of job (in the end she said she wouldn’t do it).

Her husband is a proper alcoholic, they blame each other for everything that’s wrong with their lives, but realistically they’re both at fault.

And I feel for their daughter she’s so full of life and joy in all of this chaos.

But after 8 years, I don’t think I want to listen about all their troubles and how they can blame everything and everyone but they don’t want to change at all. I’m just done…

Which means I’m back with basically no friends but it is what it is.

The X Files first film (Fight the Future) was better…

I don’t know if it was too hyped or what. I expected some sort of proper conspiracy or alien film. To me it was not even a “feel good film”. And spoilers…. >!Grandpa alien should have been ET.!<

Anyway as Mulder would say: “I want to believe”.

New sandals are already wearing off around my right heel

I supinate heavily (especially on my right foot). I don’t have a high end cobbler around me (these are designer sandals). What are my options?
