Hey y'all!

Soo.

Anxiety is kinda kicking my ass.

I just now took the first two pictures and the rest is from Pride Bremen last week.

Yes, I was a dog lol.

Anyway, I'm struggling with the decision to shave my beard. I really like it, I think it looks cool and I look like a regular dude!

-But-

I also really like looking cute :<

I'm worrying if the beard is stopping me from looking cute, adorable or pretty.

What do you guys think? Does the beard look okay and do I cute with it?

(I'm just slowly returning to trying fem stuff again, but on another day I wore a cute short dress out!)

Just finished my first diagnostic appointment about trauma

So.
I'm doing diagnostics with my therapist currently and I struggled to do a trauma questionaire by myself.
I asked if she could do them with me and she said yes!
Her asking the questions was incredible helpful.
Of course the appointment took a lot out of me.

I wish I could get a hug from my dad. Or anyone to be honest.
I just somewhat recently realized, that I'm traumatized and I still feel like my trauma is not bad enough, or that I need to remember every little thing and when it happened, just so it's valid.

In theory I know that's wrong. I know it's not a competition.
But it hurts, and I wish my biological father had been there.

Nail care

Hello everyone.

Does anyone have advice for how to care for your nails? I keep trying to file mine cleanly and evenly, but I never do it correctly I think.

I'm autistic and have sensory issues. My nails always end up feeling to uneven, so I file them more. But then they end up to short.

But when they're not super short, the tips feel so hard and uncomfortable.

Long Distance Poly and feeling neglected

Would you say, that Long Distance is just not a good idea, or that you need to put more work in?

My boyfriend and I are in a poly relationship and we live pretty far away from each other right now.

He has two partners in the same city where he lives, but mainly meets up with the other.

Lately I'm starting to feel really lonely. I miss having intimacy in my relationship, but there's not much of it. We try to do something together two days a week, but I still find myself craving attention and affection.

I've been doing very well with my jealousy issues, but it just feels as if my partner doesn't really see my other issues.

I tried to talk to him, but I struggled to explain my emotions.

Or he kinda was quick to say, that he can't give me more and it's for me to decide if it's enough for me or not.

Which is very honest, but... it still feels bad.

Does this count? 👀

Always love to buzz my hair super short, because hairstyling is the most annoying thing on earth. xD

But I know this is not fully bald, so I'm asking the council!

And I always hated shaving my legs, which is why I'm kinda unsure about shaving my head completely:D Maybe someone has some tips?

Struggling with my emotions (Any other Gamers here?)

Okay, so. Hi.

I'm 29 years old and since I could I've been spending time online or playing games. At some point I found World of Warcraft and fell in love (and hyperfixation).

I started roleplaying there (like creative writing together with others) and it's always been a big part of my life.

Sadly I also met a lot of shitty people that treated me poorly, so I had to take a big break from doing the hobby on public servers.

Now I'm trying to come back and I'm doing much better, but some things still trigger me. Mainly to do with others having, what I don't have.

Like constant roleplay, close friends to spend time with often and things like that.

Does anyone know how I can learn to enjoy my hobby as my own person again? I sometimes get so desperate for anyone to write a partner for my char.
I also think my hypersexuality comes through in that hobby, because I really like writing smutty roleplay with others, but get so depressend and upset when I get rejected.

I just want to enjoy my favorite hobby again 😭 It's so difficult without it. (My therapist strongly suspects be also having autism and I have adhd. So.. yeah.)

Advice on PC placement

Hello!

I always used to have my pc stand on the ground, but I'm constantly seeing those standing on desks.

Is that the usually recommended placement? (Probably yes, because of dust and stuff..?)

Looking for simple advice or opinions!

Edit: So many good ideas! Thank you all :)

How to deal with having normal distance from your FP

I think my boyfriend is my FP, but he has a lot of friends and other stuff going on while I don't. I'm trying to keep myself busy with other things and/or find new friends but it's still very hard.

We're pretty early in the relationship and at the start we hung out much more than now. (We're long distance, visited each other.) We still spend time together online, but it really feels like it's gotten much less and I'm not being able to spend a lot of time with him in general. When he's with his friends or out doing other things, he rarely texts me, which is fine! Like.. I want him to be able to concentrate on other things. But how do I get over it?

How do I stop feeling so incredibly lonely and scared when we don't interact a lot?

Edit: He does text me more than any other person in his life, but it's not a lot for me compared to my earlier relationships. Maybe my autism also makes this more tricky, because change can be difficult.

Also ein Android Zeichentablet.

Danke!

FOMO and Anxiety (and Entitlement?)

Hello!

About one month ago I started dating someone who is poly and I'm really excited about it! He's the best at reassuring me, being patient and just amazing all over.

I've been interested in poly before, but never really had the chance to try it. But I've been researching a lot, because my anxiety is making some days very difficult.

I know that jealousy is like an enginge light of your car (your mind), so I've been trying to analyse my emotions. I feel anxious when my partner is with his friend and/or his partners (same friendgroup) and I really want to solve this.

For one I think it's my general anxiety just latching onto the current thing I'm thinking about. I feel anxious, whenever I have nothing to feel anxious about. 😩

But I also think it's some part FOMO (fear of missing out) and some entitlement to my partner. Which I both want to solve as best as I can. Because I don't want to feel this entitled, I want him to be as happy as he can be. Same for me of course.

I got to know one of his partners already, and we even spent two evenings watching movies. I know they're all super nice.

I sadly don't really have friends to spend time with, but it's a big goal for me.

As for therapy, I'm planning to talk to my psychiatrist, so he can put me on the waitlist for a hospital with a specialised dbt ward.

But does anyone else here have any tips? Do I 'just' need to be patient?

He's the best thing that happened to me in a while and I want this to work. (And we are both similarly obsessed with each other, it's great!)

Looking for comfortable bike helmets

Hello!

My (hopefully soon) boyfriene really struggles with the sensations a bike helmet gives him. Does anyone know any bike helmets made for people with sensory issues?

He mostly struggles with feeling as if he's getting choked by the helmet and how it feels on his head. :/

Does the burning sensation get less with dilating?

EDIT: Thank you so much for all your answers! Super helpful and I will try my best to be more patient with myself.

My main problem is pain when inserting things and it's usually a burning sensation.

Does anyone have any experience with dealing with that? Or did dilating help?

I'm kinda wondering if a vaginal wand (or similarly called) would help.

How do you deal with hand tremors?

I struggle daily with hand tremors. And taking my meds sometimes makes them worse, so I try to eat something with protein after I take my meds but nothing really has helped me yet. My doctor just said: Yeah, adhd meds can make hand tremors worse.
But... not really helpful??? Sometimes the tremors are so bad, that I struggle carrying a glass of water without spilling it or drawing is impossible.
