2018 Lincoln mkz hybrid 290k miles
Trans fluid has never been changed
Called around and some said to never touch it
Others say trans drain and fill is safe
Mechanic checked it and said it’s not burnt just dirty
I’m wondering if I should mess with it at all and is drain and fill safe or still risky or just do nothing
Do want to last the car as long as possible

Transmission mount - $200 total part was $54 but mechanic may get it cheaper
Oil change with threads repaired and new drain plug- $200
Provided my own filter. before there was jb weld stuck in my oil pan which had to be removed and fixed
I felt like the break job was expensive and I could have saved $200 if I did it elsewhere but he did say he saved me many hundreds of dollars by fixing the oil threads. The oil drain plug threads in my oil pan were damaged (stripped). Instead of replacing the entire oil pan, the mechanic repaired the drain hole threads and installed a new drain plug. Next oil change we will install a valve so oil changes are easy like using a sink faucet. The oil pan job was gonna cost $500+ maybe more since it’s a lot of labor.
Just wondering if these are good prices I think everything was fine except breaks were expensive for at home mechanic and I’m thinking that I just spent an extra $200 to fix the drain plug area to feel a bit better since that might have been really expensive and maybe no one would have done what he did
He did work for 3-4 hours

Free street parking. There is no in unit laundry or dishwasher. Must sign lease it starts and is available on August 1 and is 1 year minimum. Only one person per room no sharing. Dm for more details and pics. Rooms are small and don’t have doors you can use a curtain divider as a doorway, I have pics of this. Apartment is unfurnished. No pets allowed. Minimum one year lease required. Credit history and landlord reference required. One month security deposit required. Water included. Tenant pays electric and gas. No smoking. No pets.
I am also exploring some other options and looking for one other roommate if above doesn’t work out to get a room at letterman Chicago or another apartment such as Adams coliving or post Chicago . The room will be shared and rent will be around $650 for the shared room or slightly bit more depending on which apt. 650 is for letterman It’s 4 bed/ 2-4 Bath with amenities such as gym, common areas. Must sign one year lease. Dm if interested. All of these allow 2 people to share and be added on the lease for an additional fee. If your membership has a guest pass and you can bring a guest and you don’t bring one I’d like to tag along for just about a week maybe till my moving is finalized, I can even pay a little if needed so you have nothing to lose.
