Got a few hours for it to heal but I imagine it'll open up again.

I was trying to swallow a pill from a foil packet without having to touch it with my hands, which were dirty. Feel like a bloody fool (unsurprisingly).

A colleague/friend of mine has his late father's trumpet and is giving it to me. I've done a bit of Googling and it's not worth a great deal even in good condition (and this looks quite rough) but I'll have a go at getting it playable again. If it is destined for the lamp factory then at least it'll be a nice thing for him to have back.

3rd valve slide looks interesting. Not sure when he'll be able to get it to me

I can't really hear much difference between it and my cheap Thomann although the valves certainly feel nicer.

They certainly packaged it well. Inside a padded leather case which was in a bubble wrapped back, inside a box, which was wrapped in more bubble wrap and put in a larger box. Took about an hour to find the horn!

I previously posted about how my canvas tent that was hung up to dry had birds nesting in it. They've flown the nest now so I thought I'd store it properly. Opened it up to brush all the twigs out and found that wasps (I presume) had nested in it and eaten through the canvas in multiple places. Really annoying. I think there's enough spare canvas inside where the poncho sleeves were that I can make patches but would still rather not have to spend several hours fixing it

Been steeping for about a week. Tastes pretty good. Nice sweetness to balance out the astringent natural flavour

I've mashed the blackberries that were infusing for the above photo as they seemed plenty juicy still. I've added another load of booch so will see how that differs next week

Was doing quite well today when it decided to spontaneously disassemble. I paid extra for a clutch (which has worked before when we jammed the machine). I'm going to slacken the bolts a bit

This is supposedly about the limit for my Remet CNC branch logger but it went through no problem. Have filled a few sacks ready for the upcoming winter, which I'm sure will be wet and cold. Got a load more to process but without any help it's taking longer than it should

My Nook suddenly stopped working. I had bypassed the registration on it because I bought it and found out it was no longer supported. The charge light comes on but I can't get it to do anything.

Once I left it for a few weeks and it did change the screen to say battery was flat. I've even changed the battery but no combination of buttons will get it to do anything.

Is it beyond saving? Seems a shame to throw away

My new (to me) Kubota B2400 only has a single hydraulic connector (for a tipping trailer) but I'd like to be able to run my log splitter from it. Can I undo the plug here and just fit a QR connector in?
