For context I'm 14 which i find polarizing because the lyrics of 2002-2010 interpol are very dark. I liked their music after listening to ToTBL at the start of the year, the thing is the only time I've heard of the band before last year was Norman from the Evil MV. I also live outside of the US and UK so Interpol isn't well known in my country.

My American friend once made me play Obstacle 1 at school for fun, I was playing DK's parts in the intro. February this year he wrote the Entire Tracklist of ToTBL and my eye caught Stella because it was long, then after I listened to the album, slowly though, I almost got convinced to drop them after OLTA but when I didn't wanna be a poser, I wanted to Try It On, so Self Titled which I dropped before, when I finished I was amazed. El Pintor followed, I was blown away on how great their music was and then all finished Marauder-TMWAT, no regrets. Now I'm listening to Bonus Tracks. They're currently my favorite band as I've listened to almost all of their non live/remix releases

Pioneer being dissonant creeped me out but when the tremolo guitar started playing it calmed me down, I liked it. Gavilan was giving me the creeps, it's their darkest song from ToTBL/Antics era that even if I don't like it very much it's still deserving of recognition

Here's the oldest I can find, it's allegedly Sam's first live, camera quality is crap for Stella and the Bass is more buried than Rocket Bar

His tone sounds more sharp in OLTA and on S/T. Specifically in Heinrich Manuever and No I + Success, Barricade sounds normal to me so I won't ask.

So I have a problem, I sleep for 4/5 hours maximum, rarely 6 or 7 and also wake up after 2 hours of sleep. I avoid taking naps but sleeping takes an hour, and when I do need a long sleeping session like on school days, I sleep late and barely get 4/5 hours. I also have trouble sleeping in general unless I'm physically exhausted and after waking up.

2 things come to mind, Roland demo's extra lyrics mentioning Roland and Song Seven Rap.

Roland's demo was flawed but maybe the extra lyrics could've worked, it conveys the awkward Interpol we know and love.

Song Seven Rap I listened to yesterday, I preferred the Evil EP vocal quality but the rap hits hard, but when Paul starts saying "yes you were a flower" the overlap is problematic for me.

For changed vocals I'd like to say that A Time To Be So Small has so much. I liked the ambient intro but the vocal quality I didnt like that much, but liked the concept, I prefer the demo's instrumental and Antics for the vocals, the vocal clarity makes it a perfect closer

Hearing the ToTBL demos have truly changed me, and with some bonus tracks being so good it's bafflingly not in any album.

If I were to replace a song with a demo I'd put Song Seven but make the vocals like the final version, same for A Time To be So Small. For Bonus tracks I'm glad ToTBL cut it off short, but Song Seven should've ended Antics imo, the 2 final songs being unifinished totbl songs would be great, don't get me started on El Pintor. Knowing the voicemail's story in Mind Over Time, I wouldn't replace The Lighthouse with it even if I wanted to

What pedals does Paul use? I know about the P Bass from El Pintor but stuff from Into The Night feels so rough, someone compared it to a Rickenbacker but I know they only use a P or J. And I feel like this is more EQ'd than what Carlos ever did

Finished my first listen, I'll be honest, i felt bored in some songs like Greenwich and Big Shot City, but it feels ethereal and one of the things I like about it is that the good songs are forgettable, not because I hate it but because usually there's songs I forget from the albums and not listen to them for a while but the TOSOMB tracks feel good the first time and it being forgettable to me actually feels like a good thing.

In order: Mind Over Time, Crimewaves, Get The Girls, Gavilan.

Today I'll relisten to TOSOMB and not drop it so I listened to these for rating.

Mind Over Time - Some ethereal, this feels like the ATTBSS demo with the distorted voiceclip. 10/10

Crimewaves - Boring, but still decent. 6/10

Song 5 - Caught me off guard, love the fact it's instrumental. 8/10

Gavilan - Dissonant and hollow, in a good way, it's more memorable than Precipitate, still not my type, 7/10.

I've seen lots of discourse on Holiday Mansion vs Hospital.

The Holiday Mansion being so detailed makes sense for it to be a new dark world with important stuff like the Guitar being there and Carol's Katana being used.

On the Other Hand the Hospital has many clues like Rudy and his health, Egg room in Chapter 4 and the Waiting Room track.

Saying this as a ST and El Pintor fan. I will probably never witness an interpol live in real life but every setlist here and on yt have almost no ST-TOSOMB.

I expected Lights but it's not there, shocked that they don't have Barricade, and the fact TOSOMB also feels dropped from everything 25'-26'. Most of the songs they never played live are also here like Tidal Wave and Always Malaise.

Notably only All The Rage and Rover are the ones they play that I've seen on yt and setlists

If you spend any time around Deltarune fans, you've probably seen an interaction along the lines of

"I wish the festival had minigames"

"Actually, it is better that there are no minigames, as it prevents the light world from feeling like a game and..."

Now, you can come up with all sorts of reasons as to why you, personally, enjoy any part of the game, but to say that the game is objectively better because of an obvious flaw or shortcoming is completely disingenuous.

It would imply that, if Toby later came out with an update that adds festival minigames, all these people would gather to say "actually, the game was better before. This is now an inferior product." Which they obviously would never do.

This is because these people have no actual desire to engage with Deltarune as art. They only see Deltarune as a popularity contest on who can glaze Toby the hardest. They must signal that everything about the game is perfect in every way, or else they will lose the glazing contest.

I'm confused since I did study music theory and -1octave treble clef using classical guitar technique on acoustic. I'm not sure how it evolved to be used with a pick more, what I am glad is that the electric guitar led to the bass guitar which is my current instrument now, I'm just confused on how Guitars went from Budget Lute that's always played with fingers to predominantly being a picked instrument either by strumming or using electric.
